sheriff_n in_o let_v of_o he_o to_o mainprize_n for_o they_o have_v no_o such_o commission_n ron_fw-mi authority_n for_o the_o writ_n be_v direct_v to_o the_o sheriff_n only_o and_o not_o to_o the_o sheriff_n and_o verderor_n but_o it_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o same_o writ_n that_o the_o sheriff_n shall_v let_v he_o to_o mainprize_n in_o presentia_fw-la viridariorum_fw-la because_o that_o the_o verderor_n be_v judge_n of_o record_n the_o name_n of_o the_o mainpernor_n be_v deliver_v unto_o they_o and_o this_o much_o concern_v attachment_n and_o the_o repleve_n of_o person_n that_o be_v attach_v who_o how_o man_n that_o be_v bailable_a shall_v be_v bay_v and_o by_o who_o now_o it_o be_v to_o be_v see_v how_o this_o band_n by_o pledge_n shall_v be_v take_v and_o by_o who_o and_o therefore_o first_o of_o all_o it_o be_v to_o be_v note_v that_o in_o all_o case_n where_o any_o offender_n be_v to_o be_v attach_v by_o his_o good_n and_o cattal_n which_o be_v the_o first_o manner_n that_o for_o as_o much_o as_o the_o say_a verderor_n be_v judge_n of_o record_n and_o have_v the_o keep_n of_o the_o roll_n for_o matter_n of_o the_o forest_n until_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n justice_n in_o eyre_n of_o the_o forest_n therefore_o if_o the_o forester_n do_v take_v any_o offender_n with_o the_o manner_n offend_v in_o vert_fw-fr in_o the_o forest_n they_o be_v to_o attach_v law_n of_o the_o forest_n and_o such_o offender_n must_v be_v bail_v and_o mainprise_v according_a to_o the_o quality_n &_o degree_n of_o their_o offence_n in_o some_o case_n by_o two_o pledge_n and_o in_o other_o some_o case_n by_o four_o six_o or_o eight_o pledge_n and_o in_o some_o other_o case_n the_o offender_n be_v not_o to_o be_v bail_v at_o all_o by_o the_o say_a verderor_n or_o forester_n as_o it_o have_v be_v already_o show_v before_o nor_o yet_o by_o any_o other_o person_n but_o only_o by_o the_o lord_n chief_a justice_n in_o eyre_n of_o the_o forest_n or_o by_o the_o chief_a warden_n of_o the_o forest_n and_o then_o if_o the_o forester_n or_o other_o officer_n of_o the_o forest_n that_o be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o law_n of_o the_o forest_n shall_v take_v upon_o they_o to_o bail_v such_o offender_n no_o doubt_n but_o great_a inconvenience_n will_v ensue_v thereby_o aswell_o unto_o the_o king_n as_o also_o to_o the_o offender_n themselves_o and_o therefore_o such_o offender_n be_v most_o meet_a to_o be_v bail_v by_o the_o foresay_a verderor_n to_o the_o end_n that_o the_o say_a verderor_n may_v bail_v they_o according_a to_o the_o very_a law_n of_o the_o forest_n and_o for_o that_o cause_n the_o law_n have_v provide_v and_o appoint_v a_o steward_n that_o must_v be_v learn_v in_o those_o law_n to_o join_v with_o they_o and_o to_o direct_v they_o in_o use_v therein_o and_o many_o grievous_a trespass_n conceal_v from_o the_o king_n and_o never_o any_o presentment_n make_v thereof_o before_o the_o verderor_n at_o the_o court_n of_o attachement_n or_o at_o the_o swanimoce_fw-mi court_n recognizance_n obligation_n take_v to_o the_o

progevitour_n or_o by_o any_o other_o way_n or_o mean_n any_o liberty_n or_o fraunchise_n or_o free_a custom_n of_o the_o forest_n within_o the_o say_a forest_n of_o windsor_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v before_o the_o lord_n justice_n in_o eyre_n or_o his_o deputy_n at_o the_o day_n and_o place_n mention_v in_o the_o same_o warrant_n to_o show_v what_o liberty_n they_o do_v claim_v to_o have_v in_o the_o same_o forest_n and_o that_o all_o manner_n of_o person_n that_o be_v attach_v for_o verte_a and_o venison_n within_o the_o forest_n aforesaid_a after_o the_o last_o plea_n of_o the_o forest_n hold_v before_o the_o lord_n justice_n in_o eyre_n and_o also_o that_o all_o pledge_n and_o manucaptor_n which_o have_v day_n by_o their_o manucaption_n before_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o proclamation_n and_o that_o he_o be_v set_v in_o his_o judicial_a seat_n and_o those_o that_o be_v in_o commission_n with_o he_o then_o after_o the_o commission_n be_v read_v and_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o forest_n call_v than_o the_o freeholder_n of_o the_o same_o forest_n shall_v be_v call_v also_o and_o all_o other_o that_o be_v warn_v to_o appear_v there_o at_o that_o day_n and_o then_o
