general_o find_v so_o much_o practise_v they_o and_o if_o they_o be_v not_o so_o much_o as_o useful_a mean_n or_o help_v of_o salvation_n why_o do_v you_o both_o so_o much_o practise_v they_o and_o plead_v for_o they_o as_o i._o a._n have_v do_v at_o great_a length_n for_o preach_v and_o pray_v and_o sing_v without_o the_o spirit_n all_o which_o be_v nothing_o but_o self-righteousness_n another_o fault_n that_o i._o a._n commit_v here_o be_v that_o he_o confound_v the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o salvation_n with_o the_o subordinate_a and_o instrumental_a mean_n thereof_o for_o although_o those_o call_a protestant_n deny_v the_o saint_n good_a work_n that_o be_v wrought_v by_o the_o spirit_n to_o be_v strict_o the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o salvation_n yet_o general_o or_o for_o the_o most_o part_n they_o deny_v not_o that_o they_o be_v mean_n of_o salvation_n and_o necessary_a in_o order_n thereunto_o which_o yet_o i._n a._n seem_v here_o altogether_o to_o deny_v and_o in_o their_o heart_n viz._n tit._n 3._o 5._o he_o can_v not_o have_v bring_v a_o more_o convince_a testimony_n against_o his_o false_a doctrine_n than_o that_o very_a place_n for_o after_o that_o paul_n say_v not_o by_o work_n of_o righteousness_n which_o we_o have_v do_v viz._n by_o any_o power_n of_o our_o own_o he_o immediate_o add_v that_o god_n save_v we_o according_a to_o his_o mercy_n by_o the_o wash_n of_o regeneration_n and_o renew_v of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o regeneration_n and_o renew_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n comprehend_v the_o whole_a work_n of_o sanctification_n in_o the_o saint_n and_o here_o i._o a._n go_v on_o at_o his_o old_a rate_n of_o multiply_v false_a accusation_n and_o perversion_n and_o perversion_n against_o we_o some_o of_o the_o chief_a
