chief_a seat_n of_o trade_n within_o this_o island_n and_o it_o be_v find_v by_o experience_n that_o a_o quick_a and_o more_o speedy_a dispatch_n of_o all_o maritine_n and_o merchandize_v affair_n give_v the_o great_a satisfaction_n to_o all_o party_n concern_v it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o the_o judge_n or_o judge_n of_o the_o court_n there_o establish_v to_o hold_v and_o keep_v the_o same_o once_o every_o two_o month_n and_o not_o often_o and_o that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o the_o chancellor_n here_o for_o the_o time_n be_v upon_o application_n make_v to_o grant_v a_o justice_n to_o any_o of_o the_o inferior_a court_n within_o this_o island_n any_o thing_n herein_o contain_v to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v thing_n as_o may_v any_o way_n straighten_v hurt_n hinder_v or_o incommode_v the_o highway_n as_o also_o to_o dig_v for_o stone_n or_o gravel_n clay_n marle_n sand_n or_o earth_n in_o any_o land_n not_o plant_v or_o enclose_v as_o yard_n or_o garden_n to_o a_o house_n or_o to_o press_v any_o cart_n carriage_n workman_n or_o other_o thing_n fit_a to_o be_v employ_v in_o the_o highway_n for_o such_o reasonable_a satisfaction_n to_o the_o party_n concern_v as_o such_o surveyor_n can_v agree_v for_o and_o in_o case_n of_o disagreement_n such_o as_o the_o next_o or_o any_o justice_n in_o after_o such_o tax_n make_v and_o not_o afterward_o and_o that_o there_o it_o appear_v to_o the_o say_a justice_n that_o he_o she_o or_o they_o be_v overrated_n tax_v or_o assess_v the_o say_a justice_n be_v hereby_o authorize_v and_o impower_v if_o they_o find_v he_o her_z or_o they_o so_o overrated_n or_o assess_v to_o ease_v he_o her_z or_o they_o as_o to_o their_o discretion_n shall_v seem_v meet_a but_o that_o no_o appeal_n shall_v lie_v further_o or_o to_o any_o other_o court_n or_o place_n in_o this_o island_n for_o any_o tax_n or_o rate_v make_v or_o assess_v by_o the_o justice_n and_o vestry-man_n of_o each_o respective_a parish_n in_o this_o island_n any_o law_n custom_n or_o usage_n to_o the_o contrary_a in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o churchwarden_n of_o each_o respective_a parish_n within_o this_o island_n do_v buy_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v buy_v one_o fair_a well_o bind_v book_n wherein_o the_o minister_n and_o in_o case_n there_o be_v no_o minister_n there_o resident_a the_o respective_a churchwarden_n upon_o notice_n thereof_o give_v by_o the_o master_n of_o the_o several_a family_n who_o be_v hereby_o require_v to_o give_v such_o notice_n under_o the_o penalty_n of_o five_o pound_n shall_v register_n or_o cause_n to_o be_v register_v by_o the_o clerk_n of_o the_o vestry_n of_o that_o parish_n the_o time_n of_o the_o birth_n christen_n marriage_n and_o burial_n of_o all_o such_o person_n or_o person_n that_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v bear_v christen_v marry_v or_o bury_v within_o the_o say_a parish_n under_o the_o penalty_n of_o five_o pound_n for_o every_o such_o default_n and_o that_o the_o say_v clark_n or_o person_n that_o shall_v register_n the_o same_o shall_v have_v and_o receive_v as_o a_o fee_n for_o each_o entry_n fifteen_o penny_n and_o no_o more_o and_o it_o be_v hereby_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o such_o entry_n due_o make_v and_o keep_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v at_o all_o time_n hereafter_o be_v deem_v judge_v and_o take_v as_o a_o authentic_a record_n of_o all_o such_o birth_n christen_n marriage_n and_o burial_n and_o in_o all_o and_o every_o the_o court_n of_o record_n in_o this_o island_n but_o if_o any_o person_n hereby_o authorize_v to_o make_v such_o entry_n or_o any_o other_o whatsoever_o shall_v make_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v make_v any_o false_a entry_n or_o shall_v raze_v our_o or_o imbezel_n any_o entry_n or_o book_n of_o entry_n he_o or_o they_o so_o offend_v shall_v be_v proceed_v against_o and_o punish_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o the_o law_n of_o england_n provide_v against_o such_o as_o steal_v raze_v or_o imbezel_n record_n the_o one_o moiety_n of_o all_o which_o forfeiture_n or_o penalty_n or_o any_o other_o mention_v in_o this_o act_n and_o not_o direct_v how_o to_o be_v dispose_v of_o shall_v be_v to_o the_o poor_a of_o the_o parish_n where_o the_o fault_n be_v commit_v the_o other_o moiety_n or_o half_a part_n to_o the_o informer_n to_o be_v recover_v by_o bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o any_o of_o his_o majesty_n court_n of_o record_n in_o this_o island_n wherein_o no_o wager_n of_o law_n essoin_fw-fr protection_n or_o injunction_n shall_v be_v allow_v any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n or_o in_o any_o other_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o parish_n of_o port-royal_a do_v allow_v and_o pay_v unto_o the_o minister_n thereof_o two_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o pound_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la of_o currant_n money_n of_o this_o island_n and_o that_o the_o parish_n of_o st._n catharines_n do_v allow_v and_o pay_v unto_o the_o minister_n thereof_o one_o hundred_o and_o forty_o pound_n of_o the_o like_a money_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la and_o not_o less_o and_o that_o the_o parish_n of_o st._n thomas_n st._n andrews_n and_o st._n john_n do_v allow_v and_o pay_v unto_o their_o respective_a minister_n one_o hundred_o pound_n of_o like_a money_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la and_o that_o all_o the_o other_o parish_n within_o this_o his_o majesty_n island_n that_o either_o have_v or_o shall_v have_v a_o minister_n do_v allow_v and_o pay_v eighty_o pound_n currant_n money_n and_o not_o less_o as_o a_o constant_a yearly_o salary_n for_o the_o support_n and_o maintenance_n of_o every_o of_o their_o minister_n to_o be_v pay_v at_o their_o respective_a dwell_v house_n every_o six_o month_n without_o any_o charge_n or_o defalcation_n by_o equal_a portion_n and_o none_o to_o be_v capable_a of_o be_v present_v to_o the_o say_a benefice_n or_o receive_v the_o profit_n of_o the_o same_o unless_o they_o produce_v due_a testimonial_n that_o they_o be_v qualify_v according_a to_o the_o canon_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n by_o have_v take_v deacon_n and_o priest_n order_n and_o the_o say_a testimonial_n to_o be_v record_v in_o the_o secretary_n office_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o declare_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o minister_n not_o due_o qualify_v as_o aforesaid_a presume_v to_o marry_v any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o under_o the_o penalty_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n currant_n money_n of_o this_o island_n one_o third_n thereof_o to_o our_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o king_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n for_o and_o towards_o the_o support_n of_o the_o government_n of_o this_o
