argument_n in_o store_n to_o give_v a_o assault_n withal_o or_o can_v make_v some_o answer_n to_o repel_v the_o ill-affected_a in_o religion_n yet_o through_o their_o want_n of_o practice_n or_o through_o their_o inexpertnesse_n in_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n either_o they_o have_v no_o heart_n to_o encounter_v with_o they_o or_o else_o they_o want_v strength_n to_o continue_v the_o conflict_n or_o for_o want_v of_o holy_a wisdom_n they_o utter_o shame_v themselves_o and_o the_o lord_n cause_n in_o the_o handle_n but_o you_o right_a worshipful_a have_v not_o so_o learned_a jesus_n christ_n and_o if_o i_o have_v find_v favour_n in_o your_o eye_n as_o i_o be_o sure_a in_o time_n past_a with_o thanks_o i_o acknowledge_v that_o both_o i_o and_o my_o poor_a ministry_n have_v lose_v their_o first_o love_n to_o holy_a religion_n if_o ever_o they_o have_v any_o whereby_o the_o fame_n of_o our_o town_n begin_v to_o be_v at_o a_o low_a ebb_n in_o comparison_n of_o that_o it_o have_v be_v yea_o we_o begin_v to_o be_v like_o the_o church_n of_o sardi_n that_o have_v a_o name_n of_o live_v to_o god_n but_o indeed_o be_v dead_a â—_o revel_v 3._o â—_o many_o keep_v the_o sabbaoth_v to_o the_o half_n in_o the_o before_o noon_n at_o the_o temple_n in_o the_o
not_o so_o strait_o to_o be_v observe_v to_o this_o objection_n we_o answer_v three_o way_n 1_o that_o no_o man_n can_v perfect_o fulfil_v the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o every_o one_o be_v charge_v to_o keep_v it_o perfect_o pure_o and_o perpetual_o because_o it_o be_v all_o man_n duty_n so_o to_o do_v 2_o the_o hard_a it_o be_v the_o more_o we_o must_v strive_v to_o keep_v it_o luke_n 13.24_o 3_o by_o this_o strait_a and_o exquisite_a rule_n of_o rest_v we_o see_v first_o our_o deserve_a misery_n by_o the_o infinite_a breach_n of_o this_o commandment_n beside_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o our_o sin_n second_o we_o see_v god_n undeserved_a mercy_n in_o christ_n who_o have_v both_o fulfil_v the_o law_n for_o we_o as_o also_o free_v we_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n and_o purchase_v for_o we_o the_o blessedness_n of_o heaven_n of_o who_o benefit_n we_o be_v assure_v to_o be_v partaker_n when_o we_o be_v persuade_v of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n by_o he_o alone_o 2._o when_o we_o have_v power_n from_o he_o to_o die_v unto_o sin_n and_o live_v unto_o righteousness_n in_o some_o measure_n as_o well_o in_o this_o commandment_n as_o in_o any_o other_o 2_o be_v against_o the_o earn_n of_o a_o penny_n or_o two_o on_o the_o sabbaoth_v day_n etc._n etc._n to_o this_o objection_n a_o double_a answer_n may_v be_v frame_v 1_o we_o can_v serve_v god_n unless_o we_o cast_v away_o those_o worldly_a and_o distrustful_a care_n for_o satan_n will_v make_v man_n believe_v that_o if_o they_o serve_v god_n they_o shall_v famish_v or_o beg_v etc._n etc._n 2_o we_o must_v have_v faith_n to_o believe_v 1_o the_o general_n promise_v of_o d_o god_n 2_o the_o special_a promise_n that_o be_v make_v to_o the_o strict_a keep_n of_o the_o e_o sabbaoth_n where_o also_o this_o very_a doubt_n be_v take_v away_o 3_o objection_n our_o servant_n must_v have_v some_o time_n of_o recreation_n they_o work_v hard_o all_o the_o week_n etc._n etc._n answer_n it_o be_v true_a indeed_o and_o some_o recreation_n sometime_o be_v almost_o as_o necessary_a as_o their_o meat_n drink_n and_o sleep_v but_o then_o be_v bold_a of_o think_v own_o and_o not_o of_o the_o lord_n allow_v it_o they_o in_o the_o six_o day_n and_o not_o upon_o the_o lord_n day_n 4_o objection_n he_o that_o be_v bind_v say_v the_o servant_n and_o he_o that_o live_v at_o the_o commandment_n of_o another_o must_v obey_v if_o we_o do_v not_o we_o shall_v lose_v our_o master_n good_a will_n and_o get_v their_o displeasure_n answer_n if_o thou_o be_v a_o servant_n fear_v god_n and_o desirous_a in_o truth_n of_o heart_n to_o sanctify_v the_o lord_n day_n then_o do_v this_o 1_o consider_v with_o thyself_o whether_o it_o be_v a_o work_n of_o necessity_n that_o thou_o be_v command_v to_o do_v if_o it_o be_v
