of_o the_o wicked_a ready_a to_o inflict_v upon_o they_o much_o more_o do_v hereupon_o grow_v to_o a_o distrust_n in_o themselves_o that_o sure_o so_o far_o as_o they_o see_v there_o be_v no_o mean_n to_o escape_v and_o so_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o sin_n submit_v themselves_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n and_o many_o time_n in_o their_o infirmity_n do_v not_o stick_v to_o complain_v that_o they_o shall_v certain_o be_v ensnare_v with_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o so_o also_o the_o word_n may_v be_v refer_v as_o be_v speak_v in_o the_o person_n of_o god_n child_n assault_v with_o these_o trouble_n wherein_o we_o may_v behold_v the_o admirable_a wisdom_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o have_v certain_o determine_v to_o free_v his_o servant_n justice_n from_o the_o rage_n of_o the_o wicked_a in_o disappoint_v their_o practice_n &_o turn_v they_o upon_o their_o own_o pate_n do_v by_o these_o two_o effect_n of_o the_o confidence_n of_o the_o wicked_a and_o despair_n of_o god_n servant_n in_o themselves_o prepare_v a_o notable_a way_n thereunto_o for_o concern_v the_o distrust_n of_o god_n child_n in_o themselves_o see_v no_o mean_n from_o flesh_n to_o avoid_v the_o danger_n as_o this_o must_v needs_o cause_v they_o to_o renounce_v all_o confidence_n in_o the_o flesh_n so_o do_v it_o more_o confident_o cast_v they_o upon_o god_n and_o provoke_v they_o more_o earnest_o to_o call_v for_o his_o assistance_n the_o more_o they_o see_v themselves_o strip_v of_o all_o help_n from_o man_n whereby_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o call_v upon_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o day_n of_o trouble_n in_o this_o full_a affiance_n of_o help_n in_o he_o alone_o they_o be_v deliver_v by_o he_o that_o so_o they_o may_v glorify_v he_o as_o for_o that_o security_n 15._o of_o the_o wicked_a ground_v upon_o the_o secrecy_n and_o multitude_n of_o their_o mischief_n what_o be_v this_o else_o but_o a_o messenger_n of_o their_o destruction_n and_o the_o more_o confident_a they_o be_v in_o the_o success_n of_o their_o project_n the_o near_a be_v their_o confidence_n to_o the_o confusion_n &_o subversion_n of_o they_o yea_o herein_o will_v the_o lord_n reject_v their_o confidence_n that_o a_o sudden_a destruction_n 3._o shall_v come_v upon_o they_o and_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o avoid_v it_o for_o so_o it_o fellow_v in_o the_o next_o word_n but_o god_n shall_v shoot_v a_o arrow_n at_o they_o sudden_o etc._n etc._n wherein_o wicked_a mark_v i_o pray_v you_o the_o wonderful_a power_n and_o wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o meet_v with_o their_o several_a policy_n by_o his_o most_o just_a and_o answerable_a judgement_n for_o be_v the_o wicked_a wise_a and_o deliberate_v in_o plot_v their_o enterprise_n be_v they_o long_v in_o weave_v &_o wary_a in_o contrive_v behold_v the_o lord_n do_v confound_v this_o their_o wisdom_n defeature_n by_o come_v upon_o they_o sudden_o that_o they_o which_o have_v such_o store_n of_o wisdom_n to_o contrive_v mischief_n against_o other_o shall_v now_o be_v to_o seek_v of_o any_o wisdom_n for_o the_o avoid_v of_o such_o sudden_a arrow_n of_o god_n vengeance_n as_o shall_v come_v upon_o they_o behold_v here_o their_o wisdom_n turn_v into_o folly_n again_o be_v the_o wicked_a subtle_a in_o devise_v many_o stratagem_n blow_n behold_v the_o lord_n will_v with_o one_o blow_n cut_v they_o of_o at_o once_o affliction_n shall_v not_o rise_v upon_o they_o the_o second_o time_n who_o have_v hope_v many_o time_n to_o have_v ensnare_v the_o saint_n of_o god_n behold_v here_o the_o multitude_n of_o their_o wicked_a conspiracy_n confound_v with_o one_o stroke_n of_o god_n righteous_a vengeance_n three_o be_v they_o so_o secret_a in_o the_o contrive_n of_o their_o mischief_n that_o they_o give_v it_o out_o confident_o that_o none_o shall_v see_v behold_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n give_v they_o the_o lie_n and_o tell_v they_o plain_o that_o all_o man_n shall_v see_v it_o yea_o they_o who_o have_v think_v so_o cunning_o to_o have_v carry_v their_o wickedness_n as_o to_o have_v go_v clear_o away_o with_o it_o the_o spirit_n tell_v they_o they_o shall_v be_v discover_v and_o to_o confound_v they_o the_o more_o in_o this_o discovery_n he_o tell_v they_o plain_o that_o their_o own_o tongue_n shall_v fall_v upon_o they_o they_o that_o say_v their_o tongue_n 4._o be_v their_o own_o who_o be_v lord_n over_o they_o shall_v now_o see_v that_o the_o mighty_a god_n overrule_v their_o tongue_n and_o make_v they_o the_o instrument_n of_o his_o glory_n in_o the_o discovery_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o executioner_n of_o his_o vengeance_n in_o the_o punishment_n of_o the_o sinner_n behold_v their_o secrecy_n even_o confound_v from_o their_o own_o mouth_n last_o do_v the_o wicked_a strengthen_v themselves_o in_o their_o mischief_n by_o confederacy_n and_o league_n loe_o the_o lord_n scatter_v will_v scatter_v their_o company_n when_o he_o come_v to_o judgement_n against_o they_o so_o that_o whosoever_o do_v see_v they_o shall_v fly_v away_o behold_v here_o the_o disunit_n and_o break_v of_o their_o confederacy_n the_o practice_n of_o the_o wicked_a thus_o wonderful_o defeat_v it_o and_o they_o be_v just_o meet_v with_o all_o in_o their_o mischief_n by_o answerable_a judgment_n what_o now_o be_v to_o be_v do_v by_o those_o that_o be_v deliver_v what_o must_v we_o repay_v unto_o the_o lord_n for_o all_o his_o wonderful_a mercy_n the_o holy_a ghost_n proceed_v in_o the_o two_o next_o verse_n to_o inform_v we_o in_o such_o duty_n as_o concern_v we_o in_o this_o case_n all_o man_n shall_v see_v it_o say_v the_o bless_a spirit_n that_o be_v the_o eye_n of_o all_o man_n shall_v be_v fasten_v upon_o it_o to_o observe_v and_o behold_v the_o
in_o it_o yet_o here_o be_v the_o victory_n of_o thy_o faith_n thou_o shall_v be_v rouse_v out_o of_o it_o not_o so_o much_o by_o the_o touch_n of_o thy_o conscience_n for_o that_o be_v common_a to_o the_o wicked_a as_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o will_v raise_v thou_o up_o again_o do_v thou_o fall_v again_o into_o the_o same_o sin_n yet_o behold_v herein_o be_v the_o victory_n â—0_n of_o thy_o faith_n they_o be_v not_o thy_o sin_n because_o it_o be_v not_o thou_o but_o sin_n that_o dwell_v in_o thou_o nay_o they_o be_v not_o the_o same_o sin_n neither_o the_o same_o in_o quality_n as_o have_v lose_v much_o of_o their_o former_a force_n neither_o the_o same_o in_o operation_n work_v relapse_n less_o hurt_n do_v thou_o desire_v to_o be_v free_v from_o all_o sin_n do_v thou_o groan_v under_o the_o burden_n and_o 15._o cry_v out_o o_o wretched_a man_n that_o thou_o be_v who_o shall_v deliver_v thou_o from_o this_o body_n of_o sin_n behold_v here_o be_v a_o mean_a victory_n of_o thy_o faith_n be_v it_o unto_o thou_o according_a as_o thou_o believe_v corruption_n in_o due_a time_n shall_v be_v clothe_v with_o corruption_n thus_o may_v thou_o try_v thy_o faith_n by_o thy_o sin_n and_o in_o the_o several_a victory_n thereof_o confirm_v thyself_o therein_o not_o by_o each_o of_o they_o several_o but_o by_o all_o of_o they_o in_o degree_n as_o the_o lord_n shall_v lead_v thou_o along_o in_o the_o experience_n of_o these_o conquest_n as_o for_o those_o evil_n which_o be_v so_o conceive_v in_o the_o world_n namely_o the_o evil_n of_o affliction_n which_o be_v just_o lead_v upon_o thou_o examine_v the_o victory_n of_o thy_o faith_n over_o these_o even_o by_o these_o rule_n be_v thou_o a_o christian_n and_o be_v affliction_n thy_o portion_n let_v this_o be_v the_o first_o trial_n of_o thy_o faith_n to_o prepare_v 4._o thy_o soul_n unto_o they_o put_v it_o in_o thy_o reckon_n if_o thou_o will_v live_v godly_a in_o christ_n jesus_n that_o thou_o must_v necessary_o suffer_v great_a affliction_n be_v thou_o enter_v into_o the_o combat_n and_o will_v thou_o have_v a_o trial_n of_o a_o conquest_n first_o submit_v thyself_o willing_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n that_o thou_o may_v witness_v thy_o submission_n be_v be_v patient_o what_o thy_o lord_n have_v lay_v upon_o thou_o that_o thy_o patience_n may_v be_v exercise_v lay_v voluntary_a affliction_n upon_o thyself_o follow_v thy_o call_n even_o in_o thy_o great_a trouble_n give_v not_o thy_o body_n to_o fret_v at_o the_o prosperity_n of_o other_o 1._o but_o fall_v to_o examine_v thyself_o why_o it_o be_v thus_o with_o thou_o have_v find_v out_o the_o cause_n either_o sin_n or_o trial_n if_o sin_n be_v the_o cause_n by_o repentance_n remove_v it_o if_o trial_n be_v the_o cause_n to_o make_v experience_n of_o god_n grace_n in_o thou_o examine_v thyself_o again_o how_o thou_o have_v use_v the_o blessing_n of_o god_n see_v whether_o some_o rust_n of_o negligence_n or_o corruption_n have_v not_o fasten_v upon_o thou_o if_o thou_o shall_v find_v it_o so_o yield_v thyself_o willing_o to_o the_o trial_n all_o follow_v thy_o god_n in_o purge_v out_o thy_o dross_n so_o at_o length_n thy_o righteousness_n shall_v break_v out_o as_o the_o light_n and_o thy_o well_o do_v as_o the_o noon_n day_n and_o thus_o shall_v thy_o faith_n triumph_n in_o all_o these_o trouble_n though_o thou_o be_v afflict_v yet_o shall_v thou_o not_o be_v in_o distress_n persecute_v thou_o may_v be_v but_o thou_o shall_v not_o 9_o be_v forsake_v cast_v down_o thou_o shall_v be_v and_o yet_o thou_o shall_v not_o perish_v die_v thou_o do_v continual_o and_o yet_o behold_v thou_o live_v never_o free_a from_o sorrow_n and_o yet_o always_o rejoice_v be_v poor_a thyself_o and_o yet_o make_v many_o rich_a 9_o have_v nothing_o and_o yet_o possess_v all_o thing_n though_o the_o outward_a man_n perish_v yet_o thy_o inward_a man_n be_v renew_v daily_o and_o these_o light_a affliction_n which_o be_v but_o for_o a_o moment_n cause_v 17_o unto_o thou_o a_o far_o more_o excellent_a and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n thus_o shall_v thou_o not_o only_o in_o affliction_n be_v more_o than_o a_o conqueror_n through_o the_o support_v hand_n of_o god_n give_v 37._o testimony_n unto_o thy_o innocence_n even_o in_o the_o face_n of_o thy_o enemy_n but_o further_a also_o by_o trust_v in_o god_n thou_o shall_v be_v deliver_v out_o of_o they_o all_o not_o only_o from_o such_o snare_n as_o be_v lay_v to_o entrap_v thou_o in_o this_o life_n but_o through_o faith_n thou_o shall_v in_o the_o end_n have_v a_o full_a conquest_n over_o they_o all_o god_n shall_v wipe_v away_o all_o tear_n from_o thy_o eye_n good_a there_o shall_v be_v no_o more_o death_n nor_o sorrow_n nor_o cry_v for_o god_n shall_v tread_v satan_n and_o all_o thy_o enemy_n under_o thy_o foot_n lo_o here_o the_o victory_n of_o thy_o faith_n over_o all_o thy_o trouble_n by_o which_o thou_o may_v try_v thyself_o whether_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o faith_n or_o no._n as_o thy_o faith_n if_o it_o be_v find_v will_v uphold_v thou_o in_o all_o thy_o trouble_n that_o thou_o sink_v not_o under_o they_o and_o deliver_v thou_o also_o so_o far_o out_o of_o they_o in_o this_o life_n as_o shall_v stand_v with_o god_n glory_n and_o all_o thou_o especial_a advantage_n so_o will_v it_o not_o leave_v thou_o till_o it_o have_v free_v thou_o from_o all_o thy_o trouble_n and_o offer_v thou_o up_o in_o marriage_n for_o ever_o unto_o thy_o bridegroom_n christ_n jesus_n thus_o shall_v thy_o faith_n enable_v thou_o to_o triumph_n over_o all_o affliction_n and_o so_o shall_v it_o teach_v thou_o the_o right_a use_n they_o of_o these_o outward_a thing_n that_o so_o they_o may_v not_o be_v snare_n and_o evil_n unto_o thou_o it_o shall_v teach_v thou_o first_o to_o rate_v they_o at_o their_o just_a and_o true_a value_n neither_o so_o to_o overprize_v they_o as_o to_o think_v none_o like_o unto_o they_o as_o esau_n do_v that_o so_o we_o may_v loose_v the_o better_a blessing_n neither_o so_o to_o underrate_v they_o as_o not_o to_o account_v they_o the_o good_a blessing_n of_o god_n for_o which_o we_o must_v not_o give_v account_n at_o the_o day_n of_o the_o come_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n our_o faith_n have_v teach_v we_o to_o give_v they_o their_o true_a worth_n will_v hereby_o also_o direct_v we_o for_o the_o holy_a obtain_n of_o they_o both_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o right_a order_n which_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v measure_n therein_o as_o also_o in_o the_o mean_n that_o must_v further_o we_o to_o the_o same_o and_o also_o in_o the_o measure_n of_o our_o seek_v these_o blessing_n concern_v the_o order_n it_o have_v this_o rule_n out_o of_o the_o word_n first_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n &_o the_o righteousness_n thereof_o and_o all_o other_o thing_n shall_v be_v cast_v thereunto_o whereby_o we_o be_v 8._o teach_v as_o to_o seek_v first_o the_o best_a thing_n that_o so_o we_o may_v have_v a_o right_n in_o these_o so_o not_o to_o neglect_v these_o thing_n altogether_o though_o now_o they_o shall_v be_v cast_v upon_o we_o upon_o presumption_n of_o god_n providence_n if_o we_o follow_v the_o better_a but_o to_o remember_v we_o have_v a_o calling_n to_o be_v employ_v in_o and_o supply_v also_o by_o these_o thing_n which_o if_o we_o neglect_v we_o be_v worse_o than_o infidel_n which_o we_o must_v follow_v that_o we_o may_v be_v humble_v thereby_o so_o have_v god_n dispose_v the_o obtain_n of_o these_o thing_n and_o so_o be_v faith_n guide_v in_o the_o right_a order_n of_o procure_v of_o they_o the_o trial_n be_v that_o 1._o our_o seek_v of_o these_o thing_n do_v not_o hinder_v our_o enjoy_n of_o the_o better_a 2_o that_o though_o god_n have_v herein_o allot_v we_o as_o we_o may_v foolish_o imagine_v six_o day_n for_o these_o thing_n &_o but_o one_o for_o the_o other_o yet_o we_o employ_v more_o time_n in_o seek_v the_o thing_n of_o the_o soul_n they_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o body_n yea_o indeed_o in_o the_o seek_n of_o these_o outward_a thing_n which_o concern_v this_o life_n we_o may_v have_v this_o testimony_n as_o that_o we_o shall_v in_o these_o seek_v only_o great_a thing_n and_o herein_o our_o faith_n do_v help_v we_o exceed_o as_o both_o assure_v we_o that_o we_o seek_v these_o thing_n not_o for_o themselves_o no_o not_o so_o much_o for_o our_o own_o use_n as_o for_o god_n glory_n who_o good_a blessing_n they_o be_v and_o therefore_o that_o we_o may_v yield_v
