learning_n and_o discourse_n and_o our_o polite_a and_o elegant_a manner_n of_o declare_v our_o mind_n and_o we_o go_v gu_v and_o delight_v ourselves_o much_o with_o ourselves_o o_o well_o then_o say_v god_n when_o you_o conceive_v that_o you_o have_v say_v the_o best_a thing_n and_o deliver_v the_o most_o convince_a reason_n and_o remain_v content_a and_o jolly_a with_o conceit_n that_o you_o have_v do_v great_a matter_n you_o shall_v then_o effect_v least_o of_o all_o and_o that_o shall_v be_v fulfil_v in_o you_o which_o the_o prophet_n isay_n say_v give_v they_o a_o barren_a womb_n and_o your_o particular_a examination_n about_o root_a up_o the_o pride_n of_o your_o heart_n and_o of_o obtain_v the_o virtue_n of_o humility_n you_o must_v not_o take_v it_o in_o hand_n after_o a_o kind_n of_o general_a way_n for_o humility_n and_o pride_n embrace_v many_o particular_n and_o if_o you_o take_v it_o but_o so_o in_o gross_a as_o to_o say_v i_o will_v be_v proud_a in_o nothing_o but_o humble_a in_o all_o thing_n it_o be_v too_o much_o to_o examine_v your_o self_n upon_o at_o once_o and_o it_o will_v be_v more_o if_o you_o do_v it_o upon_o two_o or_o three_o virtue_n at_o once_o and_o thu_o in_o fine_a you_o will_v do_v nothing_o but_o you_o be_v to_o take_v it_o into_o part_n and_o to_o go_v on_o by_o little_a and_o little_o consider_v in_o what_o you_o be_v chief_o wont_a to_o sail_v concern_v humility_n or_o in_o exercise_v of_o pride_n and_o begin_v there_o and_o have_v end_v with_o one_o particular_a thing_n take_v another_o to_o heart_n and_o then_o another_o and_o thus_o by_o little_a and_o little_a you_o will_v go_v root_a up_o the_o whole_a vice_n of_o pride_n out_o of_o your_o soul_n and_o plant_v the_o virtue_n of_o humility_n in_o place_n thereof_o let_v we_o therefore_o now_o go_v part_v and_o divide_v these_o thing_n that_o so_o you_o may_v the_o better_o and_o with_o the_o more_o profit_n make_v this_o particular_a examination_n concern_v this_o tongue_n tun_n voluntary_o to_o say_v somewhat_o which_o either_o direct_o or_o indirect_o may_v redound_v to_o our_o own_o praise_n the_o mouth_n be_v wont_a to_o speak_v out_o of_o the_o abundance_n of_o the_o heart_n as_o soon_o as_o any_o occasion_n be_v offer_v whereby_o honour_n may_v be_v gain_v we_o instant_o come_v in_o for_o our_o part_n as_o by_o say_v i_o be_v in_o place_n i_o be_v partly_o the_o cause_n if_o i_o have_v be_v absent_a i_o be_v interest_v in_o that_o from_o the_o beginning_n etc._n etc._n and_o the_o while_n i_o dare_v warrant_v you_o that_o if_o the_o thing_n have_v not_o bring_v honour_n with_o it_o you_o will_v have_v be_v content_a to_o hold_v your_o peace_n though_o you_o have_v be_v present_a yea_o and_o partly_o have_v be_v the_o cause_n thereof_o examination_n upon_o this_o point_n that_o so_o by_o care_n and_o good_a custom_n we_o may_v take_v away_o this_o other_o ill_a one_o which_o be_v so_o connatural_a to_o we_o the_o second_o may_v be_v that_o which_o saint_n basil_n advise_v we_o namely_o that_o we_o be_v nor_o willing_a to_o hear_v any_o other_o praise_n or_o speak_v well_o of_o we_o for_o in_o this_o there_o be_v also_o great_a danger_n saint_n ambrose_n say_v that_o when_o the_o devil_n can_v beat_v we_o down_o by_o pusillanimity_n and_o dismay_v he_o procure_v to_o blow_v we_o up_o by_o presumption_n and_o pride_n and_o when_o he_o can_v overthrow_v we_o by_o the_o way_n of_o affront_n he_o procure_v that_o we_o may_v be_v honour_v and_o praise_v and_o so_o to_o be_v undo_v by_o that_o mean_n saint_n hierome_n say_v keep_v yourselves_o safe_a from_o these_o siren_n for_o they_o inchant_v man_n and_o put_v they_o out_o of_o their_o wit_n the_o music_n of_o the_o praise_n of_o man_n be_v so_o delightful_a
