forth_o his_o royal_a proclamation_n from_o his_o court_n at_o kensington_n the_o 24_o of_o feb._n 1697._o which_o we_o have_v read_v both_o at_o church_n and_o court_n of_o judicature_n a_o etc._n etc._n and_o whereas_o several_a wicked_a and_o profane_a person_n have_v presume_v to_o print_v and_o publish_v several_a pernicious_a book_n and_o pamphlet_n which_o contain_v in_o they_o impious_a doctrine_n against_o the_o holy_a trinity_n and_o other_o fundamental_a article_n of_o our_o faith_n tend_v to_o the_o subversion_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n therefore_o for_o the_o punish_v the_o author_n and_o publisher_n thereof_o and_o for_o the_o prevent_v such_o impious_a book_n and_o pamphlet_n be_v publish_v and_o print_v for_o the_o future_a we_o do_v hereby_o strict_o charge_v and_o prohibit_v all_o person_n that_o they_o do_v not_o presume_v to_o write_v print_n or_o publish_v any_o such_o pernicious_a book_n or_o pamphlet_n under_o the_o pain_n of_o our_o high_a displeasure_n and_o of_o be_v punish_v according_a to_o the_o uttermost_a severity_n of_o the_o law_n and_o we_o do_v hereby_o strict_o charge_v and_o require_v all_o our_o love_a subject_n to_o viz._n to_o the_o honourable_a the_o commons_o of_o england_n in_o parliament_n assemble_v the_o humble_a petition_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o grand-juries_n of_o the_o say_a county_n of_o norfolk_n in_o session_n assemble_v in_o behalf_n of_o themselves_o and_o the_o body_n of_o this_o county_n at_o large_a humble_o show_v that_o we_o can_v without_o resentment_n take_v notice_n of_o the_o growth_n and_o daily_a increase_n of_o a_o sect_n of_o people_n among_o we_o call_v quaker_n and_o the_o mischief_n and_o danger_n from_o thence_o threaten_v this_o nation_n it_o be_v too_o observable_a with_o what_o restless_a zeal_n their_o delude_a teacher_n and_o as_o may_v well_o be_v suspect_v many_o romish_a emissary_n under_o their_o vizard_n and_o disguise_n daily_o ramble_v into_o all_o part_n of_o these_o kingdom_n and_o bold_o spread_v their_o venomous_a doctrine_n every_o where_o attempt_v to_o infect_v and_o shock_n the_o mind_n of_o weak_a and_o unstable_a protestant_n and_o assume_v to_o themselves_o rule_v of_o discipline_n power_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n and_o form_n of_o government_n repugnant_a to_o the_o establish_v law_n of_o the_o kingdom_n contrary_a to_o the_o very_a act_n of_o toleration_n and_o not_o allow_v to_o any_o other_o dissenter_n vouch_v in_o all_o their_o practice_n divine_a inspiration_n for_o their_o warrant_n and_o their_o indulgence_n of_o the_o government_n for_o their_o indemnity_n how_o apparent_o their_o blasphemous_a book_n and_o pernicious_a principle_n tend_v to_o subvert_v the_o fundamental_o of_o
