countenance_v the_o preacher_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o afterward_o besiege_v and_o in_o great_a peril_n of_o the_o amonytes_n and_o moabyte_n and_o many_o other_o which_o be_v confederate_n against_o he_o neither_o do_v all_o these_o invade_v his_o kingdom_n only_o but_o they_o gote_v his_o haven_n town_n and_o gote_v his_o land_n and_o pitch_v their_o camp_n at_o engaddi_n a_o city_n on_o the_o sea_n coast_n before_o his_o knowledge_n and_o yet_o josophat_n be_v a_o good_a king_n a_o godly_a king_n and_o one_o that_o fear_v god_n what_o shall_v i_o here_o remember_v josias_n who_o have_v the_o same_o desire_n and_o earnest_a endeavour_n of_o banish_v idolatry_n or_o reform_v religion_n and_o of_o set_v forth_o of_o the_o lewd_n of_o god_n who_o be_v also_o in_o the_o same_o case_n in_o the_o same_o peril_n of_o war_n nay_o who_o lose_v his_o life_n in_o the_o war_n and_o yet_o all_o these_o king_n be_v most_o famous_a amongst_o the_o king_n of_o israel_n most_o religious_a best_a like_v of_o of_o god_n himself_o and_o yet_o they_o all_o taste_v these_o tumult_n these_o storm_n these_o strange_a chance_n and_o event_n in_o their_o adye_n shall_v we_o therefore_o say_v their_o religion_n be_v nought_o their_o reformation_n against_o the_o law_n of_o god_n god_n forbid_v nay_o these_o tumult_n and_o trouble_n and_o hard_a hap_n as_o they_o term_v they_o be_v the_o continual_a companion_n of_o true_a religion_n and_o of_o true_a reformation_n and_o as_o we_o have_v bear_v the_o burden_n of_o these_o storm_n so_o we_o have_v taste_v the_o pleasant_a cup_n of_o salvation_n &_o deliverance_n a_o cup_n of_o salvation_n and_o deliverance_n i_o say_v have_v our_o most_o gracious_a god_n both_o more_o full_a and_o more_o easy_a and_o more_o pleasant_a offer_v unto_o we_o then_o unto_o they_o that_o he_o may_v no_o doubt_n stir_v up_o our_o thankfulness_n and_o kindle_v our_o obedience_n towards_o he_o for_o who_o be_v there_o i_o pray_v you_o in_o all_o the_o world_n that_o will_v not_o be_v bind_v with_o benefit_n and_o move_v with_o good_a turn_n and_o even_o as_o it_o be_v chain_v with_o courtesy_n sure_o he_o be_v savage_a and_o to_o have_v take_v they_o he_o describe_v they_o he_o suffer_v they_o not_o to_o pursue_v we_o at_o the_o very_a heel_n as_o he_o do_v his_o own_o israelite_n but_o not_o so_o much_o as_o to_o come_v into_o our_o fight_n not_o to_o besige_v we_o as_o he_o do_v good_a ezechias_n but_o he_o pinch_v they_o in_o their_o own_o ship_n with_o cold_a famine_n lack_v of_o water_n even_o as_o though_o they_o themselves_o have_v be_v besiege_v this_o be_v the_o great_a goodness_n of_o god_n to_o we_o ward_n this_o be_v our_o deliverance_n more_o merciful_a more_o miraculous_a then_o be_v that_o of_o ezechias_n then_o be_v that_o of_o moses_n then_o be_v that_o of_o jehosaphat_n and_o that_o which_o be_v of_o all_o other_o most_o wonderful_a without_o the_o loss_n and_o destruction_n almost_o of_o any_o of_o our_o man_n and_o not_o without_o the_o loss_n and_o captivity_n of_o many_o yea_o almost_o of_o the_o best_a of_o our_o enemy_n so_o the_o lord_n have_v make_v wonderful_a his_o goodness_n towards_o we_o above_o the_o ancient_a day_n of_o those_o holy_a saint_n and_o servant_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o many_o here_o will_v not_o acknowledge_v the_o lord_n power_n that_o the_o lord_n fight_v for_o we_o that_o the_o lord_n have_v put_v to_o fight_v these_o our_o enemy_n and_o although_o perchance_o with_o their_o mouth_n they_o do_v confess_v it_o yet_o with_o pharaoh_n they_o will_v not_o leave_v off_o from_o their_o set_a purpose_n of_o persecute_v the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o of_o pursue_v with_o all_o their_o main_a and_o might_n the_o true_a israel_n so_o great_a be_v the_o hardness_n blindness_n and_o obstinacy_n of_o their_o heart_n but_o to_o let_v these_o old_a example_n pass_v they_o which_o complain_v at_o the_o strange_a reins_n great_a flood_n and_o wonderful_a overflowing_n of_o water_n &_o drown_n of_o their_o pasture_n of_o this_o last_o year_n they_o do_v not_o remember_v the_o ship_n of_o christ_n wherein_o he_o himself_o be_v how_o it_o be_v toss_v in_o the_o sea_n how_o it_o be_v beat_v with_o wave_n how_o it_o be_v hoist_a with_o the_o whirlwind_n and_o almost_o drown_v insomuch_o that_o the_o apostle_n cry_v out_o oh_o master_n do_v thou_o not_o care_n for_o we_o we_o perish_v and_o yet_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o these_o storm_n this_o be_v the_o ship_n of_o christ_n this_o be_v his_o church_n here_o be_v he_o himself_o and_o his_o belove_a here_o his_o apostle_n and_o disciple_n be_v present_a therefore_o let_v not_o we_o now_o in_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o ship_n where_o he_o be_v present_a only_a by_o his_o grace_n and_o not_o in_o person_n as_o he_o be_v there_o marvel_v at_o the_o like_a flood_n the_o like_a storm_n the_o like_a tempest_n the_o like_a drown_n not_o of_o our_o ground_n but_o even_o of_o ourselves_o but_o rather_o with_o these_o storm_n let_v we_o be_v stir_v up_o with_o his_o apostle_n to_o call_v upon_o he_o these_o wave_n try_v our_o faith_n let_v we_o not_o distrust_v as_o they_o do_v
