in_o thing_n spiritual_a as_o be_v in_o those_o that_o never_o hear_v of_o the_o true_a god_n both_o which_o i_o conceive_v to_o be_v the_o punishment_n of_o the_o first_o original_a sin_n rather_o than_o sin_v itself_o neither_o be_v these_o excusable_a in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n without_o god_n incomprehensible_a mercy_n and_o goodness_n which_o i_o dare_v neither_o question_n nor_o confine_v for_o the_o apostle_n speak_v general_o when_o he_o say_v if_o our_o gospel_n be_v hide_v it_o be_v hide_v to_o they_o that_o be_v lose_v 2_o cor._n 4._o 3._o and_o so_o do_v our_o saviour_n walk_v in_o darkness_n then_o either_o to_o seek_v after_o or_o to_o receive_v instruction_n and_o this_o kind_n of_o ignorance_n be_v not_o only_o such_o a_o great_a sin_n as_o shall_v be_v grievous_o punish_v but_o it_o be_v likewise_o the_o cause_n of_o all_o manner_n of_o sin_n whatsoever_o first_o it_o be_v such_o a_o great_a sin_n as_o shall_v be_v grievous_o punish_v because_o i_o and_o they_o will_v have_v &_o hold_v they_o and_o desire_v no_o favour_n but_o the_o spiritual_a man_n rejoice_v not_o so_o much_o in_o the_o goodness_n of_o the_o creature_n as_o in_o the_o goodness_n of_o the_o creator_n not_o in_o the_o gift_n but_o in_o the_o giver_n he_o derive_v his_o interest_n in_o all_o good_a thing_n from_o the_o just_a purchase_n of_o his_o lord_n and_o master_n he_o own_v they_o as_o the_o blessing_n of_o his_o god_n and_o pledge_n of_o more_o large_a and_o last_a favour_n and_o he_o be_v careful_a to_o dispose_v they_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o patron_n and_o protector_n he_o see_v his_o god_n in_o all_o that_o he_o enjoy_v and_o so_o commend_v they_o to_o his_o grateful_a soul_n as_o gospel_n mercy_n spirituallize_v by_o grace_n but_o yet_o this_o spiritual_a joy_n be_v not_o complete_a unless_o it_o smile_v upon_o adversity_n what_o say_v job_n shall_v we_o receive_v good_a at_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o shall_v we_o not_o receive_v evil_a job_n 2._o 10._o or_o shall_v we_o rejoice_v in_o prosperity_n only_o and_o shall_v we_o not_o rejoice_v in_o adversity_n also_o shall_v we_o bewayl_v god_n fatherly_a correction_n then_o sure_o it_o be_v for_o want_v of_o exercise_n no_o chasten_n for_o the_o present_a seem_v to_o be_v joyons_fw-fr but_o grievous_a nevertheless_o afterward_o it_o yield_v the_o peaceable_a fruit_n of_o righteousness_n to_o they_o that_o be_v exercise_v thereby_o hebr._n 12._o 11._o very_o it_o be_v god_n good_a pleasure_n to_o keep_v his_o saint_n in_o the_o continual_a exercise_n of_o affliction_n other_o of_o the_o apostle_n to_o rejoice_v that_o they_o be_v count_v worthy_a to_o suffer_v shame_n for_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n act_v 5._o 41._o wherefore_o my_o brethren_n count_v it_o all_o joy_n when_o you_o fall_v into_o divers_a temptation_n etc._n etc._n ja._n 1._o 2._o etc._n etc._n and_o the_o apostle_n peter_n belove_a think_v it_o not_o strange_a concern_v the_o fiery_a trial_n which_o be_v to_o try_v you_o as_o though_o some_o strange_a thing_n happen_v unto_o you_o but_o rejoice_v in_o as_o much_o as_o you_o be_v partaker_n of_o christ_n suffering_n that_o when_o his_o glory_n shall_v be_v reveal_v you_o may_v be_v glad_a also_o with_o exceed_a joy_n 1_o pet._n 4._o 12_o 13._o and_o thus_o the_o saint_n affliction_n become_v the_o object_n of_o their_o joy_n as_o gospel_n mercy_n and_o through_o these_o passage_n their_o joy_n become_v a_o joy_n unspeakable_a and_o full_a of_o glory_n as_o 1_o pet._n 1._o 8._o and_o not_o a_o complete_a or_o a_o full_a joy_n only_o but_o fullness_n of_o joy_n as_o psal_n 16._o 11._o these_o six_o attendant_n ordinary_o live_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o our_o lord_n christ_n jesus_n new_a life_n true_a light_n and_o sound_a humility_n gospel_n assurance_n safe_a peace_n complete_a joy_n which_o
