why_o man_n remain_v so_o blind_a in_o their_o understanding_n so_o perverse_a in_o their_o will_n and_o affection_n and_o grow_v to_o so_o little_a stature_n in_o christianity_n the_o reason_n be_v because_o they_o will_v not_o suffer_v the_o lord_n christ_n jesus_n to_o begin_v with_o they_o first_o to_o take_v hold_n and_o begin_v his_o own_o work_n in_o his_o own_o way_n nothing_o will_v serve_v the_o turn_n unless_o they_o themselves_o begin_v first_o unless_o they_o can_v bring_v something_o of_o their_o own_o whereby_o to_o deserve_v his_o favour_n hence_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o in_o stead_n of_o be_v fill_v with_o cluster_n of_o the_o vine_n which_o yield_v the_o wine_n of_o consolation_n and_o of_o scent_v that_o variety_n of_o fruit_n which_o grow_v in_o the_o orchard_n of_o the_o lord_n they_o bring_v forth_o sour_a grape_n wild_a fruit_n such_o as_o be_v fit_a for_o nothing_o but_o to_o be_v cast_v away_o from_o this_o ground_n also_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o so_o many_o forsake_v the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o run_v some_o to_o one_o sect_n and_o some_o to_o another_o until_o they_o have_v quite_o lose_v themselves_o and_o run_v to_o nothing_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o they_o will_v not_o suffer_v christ_n to_o begin_v but_o they_o themselves_o must_v take_v hold_v first_o therefore_o they_o forsake_v the_o way_n where_o he_o begin_v the_o door_n by_o which_o he_o enter_v the_o gate_n by_o which_o he_o open_v everlasting_a life_n to_o man_n and_o every_o man_n choose_v his_o own_o way_n his_o own_o work_n his_o own_o rule_n hope_v thereby_o to_o please_v god_n so_o as_o to_o receive_v something_o from_o he_o as_o large_a as_o life_n eternal_a and_o from_o hence_o also_o proceed_v another_o evil_n which_o be_v that_o when_o great_a cross_n and_o tribulation_n come_v which_o be_v the_o way_n by_o which_o god_n do_v use_v to_o govern_v his_o church_n no_o man_n will_v give_v he_o so_o much_o honour_n as_o to_o confess_v that_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n that_o take_v hold_v upon_o he_o but_o instead_o thereof_o we_o fall_v to_o quarrel_v and_o contend_v with_o second_o cause_n with_o those_o instrument_n by_o which_o god_n do_v afflict_v we_o and_o govern_v we_o and_o in_o so_o do_v we_o quarrel_n and_o contend_v against_o the_o lord_n so_o that_o when_o god_n provide_v the_o cross_n on_o purpose_n to_o humble_v we_o and_o drive_v we_o into_o the_o excercise_n of_o our_o faith_n that_o we_o may_v learn_v experimental_o to_o know_v he_o to_o be_v our_o god_n in_o create_v way_n and_o mean_n for_o our_o deliverance_n which_o we_o never_o understand_v we_o will_v by_o no_o mean_n suffer_v he_o to_o begin_v with_o we_o or_o lay_v hold_v on_o we_o we_o humble_v not_o ourselves_o before_o he_o seek_v not_o nor_o submit_v unto_o he_o but_o rather_o seek_v how_o to_o revenge_v ourselves_o upon_o he_o therefore_o it_o be_v just_a with_o the_o lord_n see_v we_o will_v not_o suffer_v he_o to_o take_v hold_n upon_o we_o to_o enter_v within_o we_o and_o open_a everlasting_a life_n unto_o we_o that_o when_o death_n judgement_n the_o law_n conscience_n the_o devil_n and_o hell_n do_v begin_v to_o stare_v in_o our_o face_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v forsake_v of_o he_o and_o leave_v in_o a_o most_o desperate_a and_o sad_a condition_n therefore_o let_v we_o suffer_v christ_n to_o go_v up_o fly_v to_o christ_n by_o faith_n and_o walk_v in_o newness_n of_o spirit_n but_o if_o we_o put_v a_o false_a construction_n upon_o our_o baptism_n and_o think_v that_o christ_n do_v not_o begin_v with_o we_o and_o own_v we_o thereby_o we_o then_o suffer_v he_o not_o to_o take_v hold_n on_o the_o bough_n but_o forsake_v the_o visible_a foundation_n of_o our_o faith_n baptism_n be_v like_o the_o pillar_n of_o stone_n between_o laban_n and_o jacob_n which_o be_v a_o witness_n between_o they_o that_o neither_o of_o they_o must_v pass_v beyond_o that_o pillar_n towards_o the_o other_o for_o hurt_n therefore_o it_o witness_v unto_o we_o that_o god_n bear_v we_o no_o grudge_n which_o witness_n he_o can_v deny_v if_o we_o stick_v unto_o it_o by_o faith_n then_o shall_v we_o love_v fear_v and_o obey_v he_o and_o flourish_v like_o the_o palmtree_n but_o if_o we_o forsake_v his_o witness_n and_o break_v covenant_n with_o he_o then_o will_v god_n be_v constrain_v to_o enter_v into_o judgement_n with_o we_o then_o shall_v we_o never_o feel_v the_o comfort_n of_o the_o breast_n the_o wine_n of_o consolation_n neither_o shall_v our_o nose_n ever_o smell_v that_o variety_n of_o excellent_a fruit_n which_o otherwise_o we_o may_v have_v find_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n verse_n ix_o and_o the_o roof_n of_o thy_o mouth_n like_o the_o best_a wine_n for_o my_o belove_a that_o go_v down_o sweet_o cause_v the_o lip_n of_o those_o that_o be_v asleep_a to_o speak_v this_o be_v another_o effect_n that_o follow_v from_o the_o understanding_n of_o the_o former_a point_n it_o cause_v the_o roof_n of_o the_o mouth_n or_o palate_n to_o be_v like_o the_o best_a wine_n there_o be_v a_o twofold_a use_n of_o the_o palate_n which_o be_v to_o taste_v meat_n for_o one_o own_o use_n and_o it_o be_v also_o the_o instrument_n of_o speech_n both_o which_o be_v here_o mean_v for_o first_o of_o all_o as_o soon_o as_o the_o understanding_n be_v right_o enlighten_v in_o the_o way_n how_o the_o palmtree_n grow_v so_o strong_a and_o tall_a the_o palate_n can_v taste_v nor_o relish_v no_o other_o wine_n that_o be_v it_o can_v endure_v the_o prescribe_v of_o any_o other_o way_n to_o faith_n and_o holiness_n but_o by_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n those_o that_o prescribe_v any_o other_o way_n never_o taste_v one_o cup_n of_o the_o best_a wine_n this_o be_v that_o which_o christ_n say_v go_v down_o sweet_o and_o that_o it_o be_v for_o his_o belove_a it_o be_v not_o for_o stranger_n to_o taste_v of_o but_o the_o family_n of_o god_n that_o be_v willing_a to_o hear_v table_n which_o will_v not_o satisfy_v but_o be_v only_o delight_v with_o the_o wine_n that_o be_v provide_v at_o wisdom_n feast_v this_o be_v the_o first_o use_n of_o the_o palate_n and_o the_o next_o be_v it_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o speech_n which_o cause_v a_o utterance_n of_o thing_n divine_a for_o when_o once_o the_o roof_n of_o the_o mouth_n have_v taste_v the_o wine_n of_o consolation_n for_o its_o own_o use_n it_o communicate_v the_o same_o also_o unto_o other_o which_o go_v down_o sweet_o as_o soon_o as_o the_o goodness_n of_o it_o be_v once_o know_v and_o also_o cause_v the_o lip_n of_o those_o that_o be_v asleep_a to_o speak_v that_o even_o as_o wine_n make_v man_n talkative_a so_o do_v this_o heavenly_a liquor_n of_o consolation_n cause_n those_o that_o drink_v well_o thereof_o to_o utter_v forth_o the_o secret_a and_o wonderful_a mystery_n of_o god_n now_o from_o what_o have_v be_v speak_v by_o the_o bridegroom_n in_o this_o chapter_n in_o the_o faith_n in_o the_o time_n of_o tribulation_n commend_v she_o for_o the_o same_o which_o show_v that_o he_o be_v well_o please_v and_o the_o word_n behold_v show_v his_o willingness_n she_o shall_v know_v it_o and_o when_o he_o pronounce_v she_o fair_n he_o mean_v free_a from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n and_o when_o he_o say_v my_o love_n he_o show_v that_o her_o person_n be_v accept_v and_o by_o he_o chief_o praise_v the_o bride_n for_o be_v the_o eye_n as_o a_o thing_n which_o tend_v most_o of_o all_o to_o the_o set_v out_o of_o her_o fairness_n other_o part_n draw_v not_o the_o affection_n as_o do_v the_o eye_n therefore_o christ_n choose_v the_o eye_n to_o set_v forth_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o church_n which_o stand_v in_o a_o comparison_n thou_o have_v dove_n eye_n the_o dove_n eye_n be_v simple_a harmless_a be_v not_o crafty_a seek_v not_o greedy_o after_o a_o prey_n do_v not_o peck_v with_o the_o bill_n nor_o hurt_v any_o thing_n as_o other_o bird_n do_v but_o here_o it_o build_v the_o house_n of_o god_n in_o every_o age_n therefore_o the_o bed_n be_v always_o fruitful_a and_o the_o church_n can_v never_o decay_v because_o the_o bvilder_n thereof_o be_v always_o last_v after_o christ_n but_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o they_o be_v sick_a of_o love_n and_o can_v no_o more_o be_v without_o the_o wine-cellar_n than_o a_o hungry_a man_n can_v endure_v to_o be_v
