free_o with_o he_o and_o tell_v he_o his_o own_o without_o tergiversation_n and_o this_o afford_v we_o another_o reason_n why_o we_o shall_v fetch_v our_o mark_n of_o union_n from_o the_o scripture_n because_o it_o will_v deal_v free_o and_o plainty_a in_o the_o discovery_n of_o our_o spiritual_a estate_n without_o respect_n of_o person_n for_o sir_n if_o you_o build_v your_o confidence_n upon_o the_o opinion_n of_o man_n or_o upon_o the_o bare_a dictate_v of_o your_o own_o heart_n you_o may_v be_v deceive_v man_n may_v soothe_v you_o up_o in_o your_o sin_n and_o your_o heart_n will_v flatter_v you_o but_o the_o word_n of_o god_n will_v deal_v free_o and_o impartial_o with_o you_o it_o will_v represent_v matter_n as_o they_o be_v in_o their_o own_o proper_a colour_n without_o favour_n or_o affection_n so_o that_o this_o be_v a_o excellent_a mean_n to_o overthrow_v presumptuous_a hope_n and_o to_o build_v aright_o in_o our_o expectation_n of_o eternal_a life_n when_o we_o fetch_v all_o our_o mark_n and_o sign_n of_o be_v in_o christ_n from_o the_o scripture_n and_o bring_v our_o evidence_n unto_o the_o scripture_n thou_o hope_v to_o be_v save_v through_o christ_n because_o thou_o be_v bear_v in_o the_o church_n and_o baptize_v and_o perform_v some_o outward_a duty_n of_o christ_n appointment_n nay_o but_o ovain_n man_n where_o do_v the_o scripture_n say_v these_o be_v token_n and_o evidence_n of_o union_n with_o christ_n and_o salvation_n through_o he_o thou_o hope_v for_o admission_n into_o heaven_n upon_o the_o account_n of_o christ_n because_o thou_o be_v free_a from_o such_o scandalous_a sin_n whereof_o other_o be_v guilty_a thou_o know_v such_o and_o such_o truth_n whereof_o many_o be_v ignorant_a or_o because_o such_o godly_a person_n converse_v with_o thou_o and_o have_v a_o good_a opinion_n of_o thou_o but_o poor_a delude_a wretch_n where_o do_v the_o scripture_n say_v that_o any_o or_o all_o of_o these_o be_v mark_n of_o have_v the_o son_n or_o of_o come_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n by_o the_o mediation_n of_o the_o son_n remember_v my_o bre_n thren_n that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v appoint_v not_o only_o for_o the_o rule_n of_o faith_n and_o guide_v of_o our_o conversation_n but_o also_o for_o the_o trial_n of_o our_o spiritual_a estate_n whether_o we_o be_v interest_v in_o christ_n and_o unite_v unto_o he_o that_o we_o may_v have_v hope_n indeed_o and_o not_o only_o a_o presumptuous_a confidence_n which_o will_v make_v we_o ashamed_a at_o the_o last_o rom._n 15.4_o for_o whatsoâ—â—er_v thing_n be_v write_v aforetime_o be_v write_v for_o our_o learning_n that_o we_o through_o patience_n and_o comfort_n of_o the_o scripture_n may_v have_v hope_n psal_n 130.5_o i_o wait_v for_o the_o lord_n my_o soul_n do_v wait_v and_o in_o his_o word_n do_v i_o hope_v so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o thing_n i_o intend_v
