both_o side_n be_v by_o the_o one_o account_v a_o corrupter_n by_o the_o other_o a_o betrayer_n of_o the_o king_n the_o rest_n by_o his_o example_n more_o fearful_a than_o faithful_a take_v every_o man_n his_o own_o way_n and_o scatter_v and_o they_o that_o in_o the_o king_n prosperity_n will_v have_v contend_v to_o be_v foremost_a now_o together_o draw_v back_o and_o like_a swallow_n forsake_v that_o house_n in_o winter_n where_o all_o the_o summer_n they_o do_v feed_v and_o foil_n between_o faint_a soldier_n and_o false_a friend_n the_o king_n be_v abandon_v look_v on_o he_o may_v remedy_v it_o he_o can_v not_o as_o not_o of_o force_n to_o punish_v that_o which_o he_o never_o force_v to_o prevent_v his_o present_a remedy_n be_v patience_n a_o cold_a comfort_n his_o only_a revenge_n complaint_n a_o weak_a weapon_n between_o both_o thus_o he_o vent_v his_o passion_n himself_o and_o do_v say_v he_o all_o forsake_v i_o do_v their_o faith_n and_o my_o good_a fortune_n both_o end_n together_o have_v i_o forsake_v they_o in_o time_n i_o have_v not_o be_v forsake_v of_o other_o who_o once_o love_v i_o better_o but_o now_o be_v able_a to_o hurt_v i_o more_o i_o confess_v the_o blindness_n of_o my_o judgement_n and_o so_o there_o be_v no_o friendship_n in_o flattery_n nor_o treachery_n in_o plain_a truth_n and_o wish_v i_o have_v but_o as_o much_o space_n to_o reform_v this_o error_n as_o i_o be_o like_a to_o have_v time_n to_o repent_v it_o but_o ah_o they_o will_v not_o suffer_v i_o to_o be_v wise_a when_o i_o may_v and_o now_o they_o have_v make_v i_o wretched_a they_o fly_v from_o i_o they_o be_v content_a to_o be_v the_o cause_n but_o will_v not_o be_v companion_n of_o my_o calamity_n such_o attendant_n be_v like_o crow_n to_o a_o dead_a carcase_n which_o flock_n to_o it_o not_o to_o defend_v it_o but_o to_o devour_v it_o and_o no_o soon_o have_v they_o bar_v the_o bone_n but_o they_o be_v go_v thus_o have_v lose_v both_o the_o fear_n and_o affection_n of_o his_o subject_n distract_a without_o comfort_n counsel_n or_o courage_n like_o a_o exile_n in_o his_o own_o kingdom_n he_o remain_v in_o wales_n not_o dare_v to_o go_v to_o london_n and_o no_o man_n desirous_a to_o come_v to_o he_o shift_v still_o from_o place_n to_o place_n fear_v all_o thing_n but_o most_o mislike_v the_o present_a the_o duke_n pursue_v he_o with_o all_o his_o power_n but_o the_o king_n be_v too_o weak_a to_o do_v any_o thing_n by_o force_n and_o yet_o too_o great_a to_o be_v undiscovered_a neither_o have_v he_o any_o assurance_n of_o those_o few_o he_o have_v at_o length_n he_o come_v to_o the_o castle_n of_o conoway_n and_o there_o utter_o destitute_a of_o help_n or_o hope_v he_o stand_v divide_v in_o mind_n which_o way_n to_o bend_v his_o course_n his_o follower_n be_v more_o ready_a to_o oppugn_v the_o opinion_n of_o other_o then_o to_o give_v direction_n themselves_o as_o see_v better_a what_o to_o shun_v than_o what_o to_o follow_v and_o as_o it_o always_o chance_v in_o desperate_a cause_n that_o course_n be_v common_o make_v choice_n of_o whereof_o the_o opportunity_n be_v already_o past_a some_o advise_v he_o that_o it_o be_v then_o time_n rather_o to_o think_v of_o save_v of_o life_n then_o recover_v his_o estate_n give_v place_n say_v they_o to_o the_o current_n of_o this_o fury_n let_v it_o have_v its_o full_a source_n and_o when_o it_o be_v at_o the_o high_a it_o will_v turn_v again_o and_o then_o you_o shall_v have_v the_o tide_n as_o strong_a with_o you_o as_o it_o be_v now_o against_o you_o therefore_o give_v a_o little_a space_n for_o the_o bad_a to_o draw_v back_o for_o the_o good_a to_o put_v forward_o treason_n get_v ground_n at_o the_o first_o but_o good_a counsel_n gather_v strength_n by_o cunctation_n the_o mind_n of_o the_o multitude_n be_v only_o constant_a in_o unconstancy_n and_o persevere_v only_o in_o change_n in_o dislike_n of_o thing_n present_a they_o desire_v new_a wherewith_o they_o rest_v not_o long_o content_v but_o be_v many_o time_n glut_v with_o the_o first_o sight_n and_o how_o can_v they_o long_o endure_v the_o reign_n of_o he_o who_o mount_v the_o throne_n only_o by_o their_o favour_n and_o strength_n shall_v hold_v the_o same_o in_o a_o manner_n at_o their_o courtesy_n every_o unpleasant_a command_n shall_v be_v deem_v ingratitude_n every_o suit_n though_o never_o so_o unreasonable_a if_o deny_v shall_v charge_v he_o shith_fw-mi unkindness_n if_o honour_n be_v not_o offer_v they_o will_v be_v much_o discontent_v and_o upon_o every_o occasion_n of_o distaste_n think_v themselves_o as_o able_a to_o displace_v he_o as_o they_o be_v to_o set_v he_o up_o you_o may_v therefore_o say_v they_o for_o a_o time_n return_v to_o ireland_n or_o go_v to_o your_o father-in-law_n into_o france_n you_o may_v assure_v yourself_o of_o his_o assistance_n to_o stand_v upon_o your_o side_n to_o recover_v your_o loss_n other_o who_o be_v enemy_n to_o any_o counsel_n how_o good_a soever_o it_o be_v whereof_o themselves_o be_v not_o author_n persuade_v the_o king_n that_o his_o enemy_n will_v rather_o die_v then_o desist_v not_o so_o much_o for_o enmity_n to_o he_o as_o for_o caution_n to_o themselves_o for_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n to_o forgive_v but_o impossible_a to_o forget_v the_o indignity_n and_o injury_n they_o have_v offer_v and_o to_o omit_v what_o some_o prince_n have_v do_v what_o all_o will_v promise_v to_o do_v they_o will_v soon_o find_v fresh_a and_o bleed_a example_n what_o you_o be_v like_a to_o do_v gloucester_n arundel_n warwick_n make_v insurrection_n not_o to_o amove_v you_o from_o the_o crown_n but_o to_o remove_v from_o you_o certain_a misleader_n of_o your_o affection_n a_o action_n more_o displease_v then_o prejudicial_a unto_o you_o atonement_n be_v make_v charter_n of_o free_a pardon_n be_v grant_v under_o the_o great_a seal_n but_o follower_n what_o follow_v be_v the_o breach_n ever_o perfect_o make_v up_o do_v displeasure_n die_v or_o be_v it_o only_o dissemble_v but_o the_o present_a want_n of_o their_o life_n have_v full_o revenge_v their_o death_n for_o have_v they_o live_v their_o countenance_n and_o authority_n will_v easy_o have_v stint_v these_o strife_n but_o the_o manner_n of_o their_o death_n persuade_v a_o obstinate_a resistance_n in_o all_o your_o adversary_n as_o for_o the_o refuge_n to_o foreign_a prince_n you_o may_v peradventure_o receive_v of_o they_o fair_a entertainment_n and_o allowance_n yet_o grow_v burdensome_a it_o may_v perchance_o fail_v but_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o draw_v a_o prince_n into_o such_o a_o quarrel_n and_o more_o hard_a by_o that_o mean_n to_o prevail_v or_o if_o you_o shall_v it_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v that_o the_o victor_n will_v hold_v the_o benefit_n of_o the_o conquest_n to_o themselves_o and_o not_o yield_v it_o over_o to_o you_o few_o country_n that_o have_v require_v such_o aid_n but_o have_v be_v by_o foreigner_n subdue_v this_o draw_v the_o saxon_n into_o the_o land_n who_o so_o assist_v the_o briton_n that_o they_o can_v not_o be_v resist_v from_o possess_v their_o kingdom_n yet_o help_v of_o stranger_n in_o case_n of_o extremity_n be_v not_o altogether_o to_o be_v contemn_v but_o it_o be_v a_o remedy_n last_o to_o be_v trust_v to_o lest_o to_o be_v try_v but_o in_o no_o case_n altogether_o to_o be_v rely_v upon_o what_o then_o if_o you_o procure_v a_o treaty_n to_o see_v in_o what_o term_n the_o people_n stand_v against_o you_o it_o may_v be_v upon_o fair_a quarter_n they_o will_v submit_v but_o if_o they_o will_v persist_v to_o uncrown_v you_o a_o honourable_a stipend_n may_v be_v procure_v you_o what_o shall_v you_o lose_v thereby_o you_o have_v no_o child_n to_o be_v disinherit_v the_o chief_a motive_n to_o make_v man_n greedy_a to_o get_v and_o careful_a to_o retain_v and_o as_o for_o yourself_o you_o shall_v be_v but_o translate_v from_o a_o steep_a and_o slippery_a hill_n to_o a_o smooth_a and_o pleasant_a plain_n from_o dangerous_a travail_n to_o secure_a rest_n and_o if_o there_o be_v no_o solace_n without_o safety_n no_o felicity_n without_o firmness_n you_o shall_v find_v the_o private_a life_n not_o only_o more_o pleasant_a but_o more_o happy_a than_o your_o principal_a state_n the_o tall_a tree_n be_v weak_a in_o the_o top_n and_o envy_v always_o aim_v at_o the_o high_a but_o you_o shall_v lose_v you_o will_v say_v the_o credit_n and_o countenance_n of_o a_o king_n so_o shall_v you_o the_o care_n and_o casualty_n the_o crown_n and_o sceptre_n be_v thing_n most_o weighty_a to_o wield_v if_o a_o prince_n be_v good_a he_o be_v lade_v with_o labour_n if_o evil_a with_o infamy_n howsoever_o with_o peril_n and_o toss_v with_o strong_a and_o sturdy_a tempest_n so_o that_o to_o be_v free_v from_o these_o fear_n be_v to_o
subject_n blood_n the_o lord_n be_v well_o please_v with_o his_o good_a will_n and_o favour_n which_o as_o by_o base_a and_o servile_a mean_n they_o will_v not_o seek_v be_v thus_o get_v they_o do_v high_o esteem_v yet_o they_o think_v it_o the_o safe_a course_n not_o to_o separate_v themselves_o suspect_v the_o mutability_n of_o the_o king_n and_o the_o malice_n of_o their_o enemy_n of_o who_o neither_o know_v they_o where_o they_o be_v nor_o what_o they_o do_v intend_v and_o be_v person_n of_o great_a wealth_n and_o great_a power_n but_o most_o bend_v to_o hurtful_a practice_n they_o be_v advertise_v they_o divide_v themselves_o and_o beset_v the_o way_n by_o which_o the_o duke_n shall_v pass_v to_o london_n with_o a_o intent_n to_o encounter_v he_o before_o he_o do_v increase_v his_o power_n and_o countenance_v his_o action_n with_o the_o name_n of_o the_o king_n the_o earl_n of_o derby_n meet_v he_o at_o a_o place_n call_v babbelake_n near_o burford_n where_o the_o earl_n soldier_n full_a of_o hearty_a courage_n dislike_a nothing_o more_o than_o delay_n think_v loss_n of_o time_n be_v a_o procrastinate_v of_o the_o victory_n come_v on_o brave_o but_o the_o duke_n be_v mutinous_a but_o not_o fit_a for_o action_n apt_a to_o stir_v strife_n then_o stint_v it_o upon_o sight_n of_o their_o approach_n will_v have_v flee_v but_o sir_n thomas_n mollineux_n a_o approve_a soldier_n constable_n of_o chester_n upon_o who_o lead_v all_o that_o country_n man_n do_v depend_v persuade_v the_o duke_n that_o this_o be_v but_o a_o part_n of_o the_o force_n lead_v only_o by_o the_o earl_n of_o derby_n a_o man_n no_o way_n eminent_a and_o if_o they_o can_v not_o bear_v through_o that_o resistance_n it_o be_v in_o vain_a to_o expect_v any_o achievement_n of_o honour_n by_o arm_n whereupon_o the_o duke_n make_v stay_v but_o his_o faint_a spirit_n be_v move_v by_o this_o speech_n rather_o to_o desire_v victory_n then_o hope_v it_o his_o soldier_n also_o be_v dull_a silent_a and_o sad_a and_o such_o as_o be_v rather_o ready_a to_o interpret_v then_o execute_v the_o captain_n command_n they_o wind_v battle_n but_o scarce_o ten_o ounce_n of_o blood_n be_v lose_v on_o both_o side_n before_o the_o duke_n of_o ireland_n set_v spur_n to_o his_o horse_n and_o forsake_v the_o field_n his_o soldier_n thereupon_o more_o out_o of_o indignation_n than_o fear_n refuse_v
