affect_v with_o they_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n unbeseeming_a a_o christian_n be_v dishonourable_a and_o unsuitable_a to_o his_o profession_n what_o be_v it_o a_o loss_n in_o estate_n that_o thus_o affect_v he_o why_o he_o profess_v to_o have_v lay_v up_o his_o best_a treasure_n in_o heaven_n where_o he_o have_v a_o better_a and_o a_o endure_a substance_n as_o the_o apostle_n call_v heavenly_a glory_n heb._n 10.34_o be_v it_o the_o loss_n of_o some_o near_a or_o dear_a relation_n friend_n child_n parent_n husband_n wife_n a_o thing_n which_o often_o sit_v as_o near_o the_o heart_n as_o any_o other_o trial_n whatever_n why_o his_o profession_n be_v to_o believe_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o resurrection_n and_o therefore_o how_o be_v it_o that_o he_o or_o she_o shall_v sorrow_n as_o other_o which_o have_v no_o hope_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v of_o christian_n immoderate_a mourning_n for_o the_o dead_a 1_o thess_n 4.13_o and_o so_o be_v it_o in_o other_o case_n whatever_o the_o affliction_n be_v yet_o to_o have_v the_o heart_n not_o only_o drench_v which_o it_o may_v be_v but_o drown_v in_o sorrow_n so_o as_o thereby_o to_o be_v render_v and_o make_v unfit_a for_o the_o duty_n both_o of_o general_a and_o particular_a call_n as_o often_o it_o be_v it_o be_v a_o thing_n unsuitable_a to_o a_o christian_n profession_n and_o no_o small_a disparagement_n to_o god_n religion_n much_o it_o be_v that_o nature_n be_v well_o tutour_v be_v able_a to_o do_v in_o this_o way_n history_n tell_v we_o of_o heathen_n such_o as_o know_v not_o god_n never_o hear_v of_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n what_o a_o excellent_a temper_n some_o of_o they_o have_v bring_v their_o affection_n and_o passion_n unto_o so_o as_o not_o to_o be_v inordinate_o transport_v distemper_a by_o any_o accident_n that_o can_v betide_v they_o and_o we_o see_v it_o in_o daily_a experience_n how_o mere_a civil_a man_n such_o as_o know_v not_o what_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n mean_n have_v nothing_o but_o reason_n to_o steer_v their_o course_n by_o yet_o what_o a_o evenness_n of_o spirit_n what_o moderation_n and_o temper_n do_v they_o oft_o time_n show_v in_o bea●ing_v the_o burden_n the_o affliction_n which_o befall_v they_o and_o shall_v nature_n be_v able_a to_o bear_v up_o the_o spirit_n in_o such_o case_n and_o shall_v not_o grace_n much_o more_o do_v it_o shall_v reason_n moderate_v affection_n and_o passion_n and_o shall_v not_o religion_n do_v it_o great_a cause_n have_v christian_n many_o time_n to_o check_v and_o shame_n themselves_o upon_o this_o account_n alas_o with_o what_o shake_v hand_n what_o tremble_v heart_n do_v they_o often_o take_v those_o cup_n which_o their_o heavenly_a father_n hold_v forth_o to_o they_o their_o heart_n even_o faint_a at_o the_o thought_n and_o apprehension_n of_o they_o before_o they_o come_v at_o they_o so_o be_v it_o not_o with_o our_o heavenly_a pattern_n here_o here_o be_v a_o bitter_a cup_n come_v towards_o he_o which_o he_o have_v taste_v of_o already_o and_o be_v now_o to_o drink_v it_o off_o and_o see_v with_o what_o a_o steady_a hand_n what_o a_o strong_a and_o confident_a resolution_n do_v he_o receive_v it_o the_o cup_n which_o my_o father_n have_v give_v i_o shall_v i_o not_o drink_v it_o herein_o let_v it_o be_v the_o endeavour_n of_o all_o those_o who_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v his_o disciple_n to_o imitate_v he_o to_o receive_v and_o drink_v their_o cup_n without_o faint_v q._n q._n ay_o you_o may_v say_v this_o be_v a_o thing_n indeed_o which_o christian_n be_v to_o endeavour_v affliction_n how_o the_o soul_n may_v be_v keep_v from_o faint_v under_o affliction_n but_o how_o shall_v they_o attain_v unto_o it_o sometime_o many_o time_n it_o so_o fall_v out_o that_o their_o burden_n far_o exceed_v their_o strength_n so_o it_o fare_v with_o the_o

their_o suffering_n upon_o earth_n for_o affliction_n they_o shall_v have_v glory_n for_o light_a affliction_n a_o weight_n of_o glory_n for_o momentany_a affliction_n a_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n infinite_o exceed_v the_o weight_n of_o all_o their_o suffering_n here_o and_o this_o do_v their_o affliction_n work_v for_o they_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d it_o work_v or_o work_v out_o for_o we_o not_o as_o a_o meritorious_a cause_n deserve_v any_o such_o thing_n but_o as_o a_o mean_n prepare_v for_o it_o and_o bring_v to_o it_o thus_o be_v affliction_n useful_a to_o both_o these_o end_n further_a the_o work_n of_o grace_n here_o they_o fit_v we_o for_o glory_n hereafter_o which_o with_o the_o apostle_n we_o may_v take_v up_o and_o make_v use_n of_o as_o a_o argument_n to_o induce_v we_o to_o bear_v whatever_o trial_n god_n shall_v please_v here_o to_o exercise_v we_o with_o we_o have_v have_v father_n of_o our_o flesh_n say_v he_o which_o correct_v we_o and_o we_o this_o will_v keep_v their_o heart_n from_o faint_a this_o it_o be_v which_o make_v the_o husbandman_n so_o unwearied_a in_o all_o his_o hard_a winter_n labour_n in_o plough_v and_o sow_v etc._n our_o person_n so_o of_o our_o condition_n the_o eye_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v in_o every_o place_n we_o his_o cognizance_n of_o we_o behold_v the_o evil_a and_o the_o good_a prov._n 15.3_o such_o a_o
