nature_n magnanimous_a yet_o because_o they_o make_v great_a account_n of_o the_o prosperity_n and_o honour_n of_o this_o world_n forget_v the_o more_o sublime_a and_o excellent_a honour_n of_o virtue_n itself_o and_o chief_o of_o fortitude_n which_o consist_v in_o this_o that_o a_o man_n do_v vanquish_v himself_o and_o also_o forget_v that_o most_o high_a reward_n which_o in_o heaven_n be_v prepare_v for_o they_o that_o give_v themselves_o to_o a_o spiritual_a life_n thus_o while_o they_o magnify_v the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n and_o be_v with_o all_o their_o heart_n and_o strength_n occupy_v in_o they_o they_o disesteem_v that_o in_o which_o true_a magnanimity_n consist_v namely_o virtue_n and_o the_o contemplation_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o they_o hence_o take_v a_o pretext_n and_o colour_n of_o this_o their_o complacency_n &_o worldly_a comportment_n from_o the_o common_a use_n and_o practice_v of_o this_o kind_n of_o life_n among_o the_o most_o high_a and_o noble_a person_n who_o for_o the_o most_o part_n ire_n besot_v with_o these_o sublunary_a and_o base_a foolery_n nor_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n do_v they_o observe_v that_o the_o truly-wise_a do_v laugh_v they_o to_o scorn_v even_o as_o those_o most_o high_a celestial_a prince_n and_o all_o the_o courtier_n of_o his_o court_n the_o least_o of_o who_o have_v a_o great_a regal_a pomp_n than_o all_o the_o caesar_n court_n of_o this_o brittle_a world_n which_o only_o be_v as_o it_o be_v but_o a_o little_a village_n and_o yet_o do_v so_o delude_v their_o understanding_n from_o this_o will_n manifest_o arise_v thus_o much_o that_o in_o very_a deed_n they_o be_v most_o abject_a and_o unworthy_a of_o honour_n albeit_o they_o be_v hold_v for_o great_a in_o this_o world_n who_o do_v not_o exercise_v all_o their_o power_n in_o the_o spiritual_a life_n and_o service_n of_o the_o most_o high_a king_n and_o god_n from_o who_o only_o they_o may_v obtain_v those_o so_o excellent_a benefit_n which_o in_o heart_n they_o so_o much_o desire_v it_o be_v also_o evident_a that_o prince_n and_o great_a one_o have_v a_o great_a obligation_n to_o this_o virtue_n of_o magnanimity_n and_o to_o all_o that_o proceed_v from_o the_o same_o and_o therefore_o it_o may_v true_o be_v say_v that_o for_o this_o obligation_n and_o magnanimity_n all_o doctrine_n which_o concern_v a_o spiritual_a life_n do_v more_o appertain_v to_o they_o then_o to_o other_o who_o pusillanimity_n and_o weakness_n of_o mind_n do_v not_o lift_v up_o themselves_o to_o desire_v and_o procure_v so_o difficult_a and_o great_a matter_n sure_o if_o it_o be_v a_o base_a thing_n for_o prince_n and_o great_a one_o to_o be_v exercise_v in_o gathete_a up_o the_o small_a crumb_n of_o sugar_n that_o fall_v from_o the_o balance_n much_o more_o abject_a and_o base_a it_o be_v to_o place_v the_o mind_n in_o the_o vain_a sweetness_n of_o delight_n and_o prosperity_n of_o this_o world_n see_v hence_o do_v follow_v not_o only_a oblivion_n but_o also_o the_o perdition_n of_o the_o most_o high_a honour_n and_o glory_n for_o the_o which_o be_v give_v they_o that_o great_a and_o generous_a mind_n they_o have_v and_o that_o mighty_a power_n and_o great_a place_n they_o hold_v of_o all_o these_o thing_n that_o most_o glorious_a king_n of_o the_o universal_a heavenly_a and_o earthly_a court_n our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n
