apprehension_n the_o text_n be_v to_o his_o present_a occasion_n then_o he_o divide_v and_o after_o his_o manner_n interpret_v the_o same_o and_o last_o he_o raise_v or_o conclude_v upon_o his_o main_a doctrine_n i_o shall_v follow_v he_o throughout_o in_o his_o own_o method_n and_o way_n first_o for_o the_o suitableness_n he_o say_v the_o text_n or_o theme_n be_v suitable_a and_o exceed_v seasonable_a in_o respect_n 1_o of_o the_o time_n wherein_o we_o live_v 2_o of_o the_o temper_n of_o most_o people_n 3_o of_o the_o occasion_n of_o that_o day_n meeting_n 4_o and_o special_o in_o respect_n of_o that_o honourable_a assembly_n i_o shall_v be_v bold_a to_o show_v how_o m._n martial_n be_v mistake_v in_o all_o these_o particular_n 1._o it_o be_v seasonable_a say_v he_o to_o the_o himself_o for_o these_o time_n wherein_o we_o live_v be_v time_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o therefore_o be_v or_o shall_v be_v time_n of_o blessing_n whereas_o the_o text_n be_v a_o text_n of_o the_o old_a time_n a_o text_n of_o curse_v and_o indeed_o although_o abundance_n of_o mighty_a enemy_n do_v rise_v up_o against_o the_o lord_n and_o against_o his_o church_n yet_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n do_v not_o leave_v his_o church_n either_o precept_n or_o example_n to_o curse_v her_o enemy_n no_o nor_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o lord_n himself_o but_o he_o have_v leave_v both_o precept_n and_o example_n direct_o to_o the_o contrary_a 1._o precept_n mat._n 5.43_o 44_o 45._o etc._n etc._n he_o speak_v not_o only_o to_o they_o there_o present_a but_o to_o his_o whole_a church_n and_o
