there_o when_o he_o be_v receive_v up_o in_o glory_n therefore_o when_o we_o come_v to_o the_o sacrament_n let_v we_o consider_v we_o have_v now_o to_o deal_v with_o christ_n who_o be_v in_o heaven_n can_v christ_n show_v his_o virtue_n to_o comfort_v and_o strengthen_v we_o but_o we_o must_v have_v his_o body_n in_o the_o communion_n to_o touch_v our_o body_n simile_n the_o foot_n have_v to_o cherish_v the_o earth_n must_v christ_n come_v down_o in_o his_o body_n to_o we_o or_o else_o he_o can_v do_v we_o no_o good_a must_v there_o be_v a_o corporeal_a descent_n or_o else_o we_o can_v receive_v no_o influence_n from_o he_o there_o may_v be_v a_o derivation_n of_o virtue_n from_o christ_n though_o his_o person_n be_v in_o heaven_n where_o he_o shall_v remain_v till_o the_o last_o day_n when_o he_o shall_v come_v to_o be_v glorious_a in_o his_o saint_n the_o sun_n do_v more_o good_a be_v in_o heaven_n
not_o only_a meditation_n of_o these_o thing_n that_o will_v cause_v we_o to_o be_v heavenly-minded_n but_o christ_n as_o a_o head_n of_o influence_n in_o heaven_n convey_v spiritual_a life_n to_o draw_v we_o up_o when_o i_o be_o ascend_v i_o will_v draw_v all_o man_n after_o i_o there_o be_v a_o virtue_n from_o christ_n that_o do_v it_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n of_o the_o cause_n and_o consequence_n as_o well_o as_o strength_n of_o reason_n and_o equity_n there_o be_v a_o influence_n issue_v from_o christ_n our_o head_n to_o make_v we_o so_o indeed_o therefore_o those_o that_o be_v otherwise_o they_o may_v thank_v themselves_o the_o best_a of_o we_o indeed_o have_v cause_n to_o be_v abase_v that_o we_o betray_v our_o comfort_n and_o the_o mean_n that_o we_o have_v of_o raise_v up_o our_o dead_a and_o dull_a heart_n for_o want_v of_o meditation_n let_v we_o but_o keep_v this_o faith_n in_o exercise_n that_o christ_n be_v in_o heaven_n in_o glory_n and_o we_o in_o he_o be_v in_o heaven_n as_o very_o as_o if_o we_o be_v there_o in_o our_o person_n as_o we_o shall_v be_v ere_o long_o and_o then_o let_v we_o be_v uncomfortable_a and_o base_a and_o earthly-minded_n if_o we_o can_v to_o conclude_v all_o christ._n as_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n be_v first_o sinful_a and_o then_o sanctify_v first_o humble_a and_o then_o raise_v so_o our_o meditation_n of_o christ_n must_v be_v in_o this_o order_n first_o think_v of_o christ_n as_o abase_v and_o crucify_v for_o the_o first_o comfort_n that_o the_o soul_n have_v be_v in_o christ_n manifest_v in_o the_o flesh_n before_o it_o flesh_n let_v we_o have_v recourse_n in_o our_o thought_n to_o christ_n in_o the_o womb_n of_o the_o virgin_n to_o christ_n bear_v and_o lie_v in_o the_o manger_n go_v up_o and_o down_o do_v good_a hunger_a and_o thirst_v suffer_v in_o the_o garden_n sweat_v water_n and_o blood_n nail_v on_o the_o cross_n cry_v to_o his_o father_n my_o god_n my_o god_n why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o finish_v by_o satisfy_v his_o father_n wrath_n and_o reconcile_a we_o to_o god_n then_o think_v of_o christ_n in_o heaven_n appear_v there_o for_o we_o keep_v that_o happiness_n that_o he_o have_v purchase_v by_o his_o death_n for_o we_o and_o apply_v the_o benefit_n of_o his_o death_n to_o our_o soul_n by_o his_o spirit_n which_o he_o be_v able_a to_o shed_v more_o abundant_o be_v in_o that_o high_a and_o holy_a place_n heaven_n for_o the_o spirit_n be_v not_o give_v in_o that_o abundance_n before_o christ_n be_v ascend_v to_o glory_n as_o it_o have_v be_v since_o in_o this_o manner_n and_o order_n we_o shall_v have_v comfortable_a thought_n of_o christ._n to_o think_v of_o his_o glory_n in_o the_o first_o place_n it_o will_v dazzle_v our_o eye_n it_o will_v terrify_v we_o be_v sinner_n into_o the_o low_a part_n of_o the_o earth_n so_o who_o be_v this_o that_o be_v take_v up_o in_o glory_n be_v it_o not_o he_o that_o be_v manifest_a in_o our_o flesh_n before_o this_o will_v be_v comfortable_a therefore_o let_v we_o first_o begin_v with_o christ_n abasement_n and_o then_o we_o shall_v have_v comfortable_a thought_n of_o his_o exaltation_n these_o point_n be_v very_o useful_a it_o on_o earth_n peace_n to_o man_n of_o good_a will_n to_o man_n of_o god_n good_a will_n and_o so_o they_o will_v have_v it_o two_o branch_n not_o three_o if_o the_o word_n be_v right_o raise_v they_o above_o the_o world_n to_o heaven_n where_o we_o shall_v for_o ever_o glorify_v he_o where_o we_o shall_v join_v with_o the_o bless_a saint_n and_o angel_n and_o sing_v holy_a holy_a holy_a lord_n god_n of_o host_n etc._n etc._n in_o the_o mean_a time_n let_v i_o add_v this_o by_o the_o way_n that_o in_o some_o sort_n we_o may_v glorify_v god_n more_o on_o earth_n heaven_n then_o in_o heaven_n it_o may_v seem_v a_o paradox_n but_o it_o be_v true_a that_o be_v thus_o here_o upon_o earth_n we_o glorify_v god_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o enemy_n he_o have_v no_o enemy_n in_o heaven_n they_o be_v all_o of_o one_o spirit_n here_o upon_o earth_n we_o live_v not_o only_o among_o devil_n but_o among_o man_n lead_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o devil_n where_o god_n be_v dishonour_v and_o if_o here_o we_o take_v god_n side_n and_o the_o truth_n and_o gospel_n side_n and_o stand_v for_o god_n cause_n in_o some_o sort_n we_o honour_v god_n more_o here_o then_o we_o be_v capable_a to_o do_v it_o in_o heaven_n where_o there_o be_v no_o opposition_n in_o this_o respect_n let_v we_o be_v encourage_v to_o glorify_v god_n what_o we_o can_v here_o for_o if_o we_o begin_v belong_v to_o god_n be_v suffer_v sometime_o to_o do_v thing_n amiss_o and_o to_o fall_v into_o error_n and_o miscarriage_n that_o they_o may_v know_v themselves_o better_a and_o indeed_o much_o of_o our_o spiritual_a wisdom_n be_v get_v by_o the_o sight_n of_o our_o own_o error_n we_o grow_v more_o establish_v after_o against_o the_o like_a temptation_n for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v and_o we_o can_v say_v by_o experience_n it_o be_v good_a that_o i_o know_v the_o foolishness_n of_o my_o own_o heart_n etc._n etc._n but_o he_o that_o god_n have_v no_o delight_n in_o he_o swell_v and_o rage_n so_o the_o soul_n when_o it_o want_v a_o sight_n of_o the_o great_a excellency_n it_o dote_v upon_o rot_a wood_n upon_o every_o torch_n light_n many_o vain_a thing_n seem_v to_o be_v great_a a_o man_n may_v see_v by_o the_o disposition_n of_o many_o what_o they_o admire_v and_o stand_v upon_o most_o their_o carryage_n show_v it_o well_o enough_o it_o argue_v a_o corrupt_a and_o weak_a judgement_n you_o see_v what_o be_v the_o main_n hindrance_n now_o god_n the_o way_n to_o attain_v to_o this_o glorious_a duty_n to_o glorify_v god_n the_o next_o thing_n shall_v be_v to_o give_v some_o
