and_o preach_v stand_v not_o in_o the_o entice_a speech_n of_o man_n wisdom_n but_o in_o plain_a evidence_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n that_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o hearer_n shall_v not_o be_v in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o man_n but_o in_o the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o to_o show_v in_o what_o word_n he_o speak_v the_o gospel_n of_o god_n and_o who_o be_v the_o author_n &_o teacher_n of_o they_o he_o show_v plain_o in_o a_o other_o place_n 2.13_o say_v which_o thing_n also_o we_o speak_v not_o in_o the_o word_n which_o man_n wisdom_n teach_v but_o in_o the_o word_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n teach_v compare_v spiritual_a thing_n with_o spiritual_a thing_n for_o as_o the_o doctrine_n and_o foundation_n of_o our_o redemption_n be_v altogether_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a so_o ought_v those_o that_o be_v builder_n thereupon_o to_o build_v after_o a_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a manner_n as_o the_o apostle_n teach_v in_o another_o place_n compare_v this_o heavenly_a man_n to_o gold_n silver_n and_o precious_a stone_n and_o the_o contrary_a to_o timber_n hay_o and_o stubble_n in_o these_o word_n 3.12_o if_o any_o man_n build_v upon_o this_o foundation_n gold_n silver_n precious_a stone_n timber_n 13._o hay_o or_o stubble_n every_o man_n work_n shall_v be_v make_v manifest_a for_o the_o day_n shall_v declare_v it_o because_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v by_o fire_n paul_n and_o faithful_o commit_v to_o his_o scholar_n aught_o with_o great_a care_n and_o diligence_n to_o be_v observe_v of_o all_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n that_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o hearer_n may_v stand_v in_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o truth_n &_o not_o in_o the_o weakness_n of_o the_o swell_a word_n of_o man_n wisdom_n but_o alas_o who_o preach_v thus_o nay_o who_o do_v not_o judge_v this_o kind_n of_o preach_v to_o be_v void_a of_o learning_n discretion_n &_o wisdom_n wherefore_o many_o do_v stuff_n their_o sermon_n with_o new_a devise_a word_n and_o affect_v speech_n of_o vanity_n not_o be_v content_a with_o the_o word_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n teach_v many_o with_o unnecessary_a sentence_n proverb_n similitude_n and_o story_n collect_v out_o of_o the_o write_n of_o profane_a man_n many_o with_o curious_a affect_a figure_n with_o latin_a greek_a and_o hebrew_n sentence_n without_o any_o just_a occasion_n offer_v by_o their_o text_n with_o multitude_n of_o humane_a authority_n and_o diverse_a opinion_n of_o man_n in_o who_o there_o can_v be_v find_v neither_o certain_a rule_n of_o truth_n neither_o constancy_n in_o judgement_n and_o therefore_o very_o unfit_a to_o be_v admit_v into_o that_o place_n as_o speaker_n whereas_o the_o fearful_a &_o mighty_a voice_n of_o god_n have_v straight_o charge_v all_o people_n to_o hear_v his_o
