redemption_n by_o christ_n this_o kind_n of_o despair_n do_v not_o prejudice_v you_o in_o the_o capacity_n of_o forgive_a mercy_n but_o then_o there_o be_v a_o settle_a and_o permanent_a despair_n which_o be_v total_a and_o final_a wherein_o the_o soul_n be_v swallow_v up_o and_o for_o ever_o lie_v under_o water_n and_o never_o rise_v more_o with_o any_o hope_n of_o possible_a mercy_n conceive_v of_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n so_o superlative_o that_o neither_o the_o merit_n of_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n nor_o the_o riches_n of_o mercy_n in_o god_n can_v or_o will_v reach_v to_o must_v be_v holy_a and_o righteous_a and_o do_v good_a work_n and_o walk_v in_o they_o and_o abound_v in_o they_o but_o if_o you_o rely_v on_o they_o as_o the_o reason_n and_o cause_n why_o god_n will_v forgive_v your_o sin_n you_o will_v certain_o lose_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o they_o for_o 1._o what_o be_v this_o but_o to_o set_v up_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o to_o look_v for_o life_n by_o the_o law_n and_o justification_n by_o something_o of_o our_o own_o and_o what_o say_v the_o scripture_n to_o this_o rom._n 3._o 20._o by_o the_o deed_n of_o the_o law_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o faithful_a witness_n between_o we_o if_o we_o do_v not_o according_a to_o all_o thing_n which_o the_o lord_n thy_o god_n shall_v send_v thou_o to_o we_o jer._n 42._o 5._o and_o in_o passive_a duty_n there_o also_o we_o presume_v many_o time_n too_o much_o upon_o our_o own_o self_n strength_n lord_n say_v peter_n i_o be_o ready_a to_o go_v with_o thou_o both_o into_o prison_n and_o to_o especial_o when_o they_o come_v from_o the_o spirit_n they_o be_v good_a they_o be_v penitential_a trouble_n and_o tend_v only_a to_o stir_v in_o we_o a_o loathe_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o a_o separation_n from_o our_o sin_n which_o have_v be_v so_o displease_v and_o injurious_a to_o god_n and_o have_v
