to_o be_v a_o needless_a thing_n consider_v that_o nature_n itself_o do_v teach_v the_o very_a bruit_n beast_n to_o nourish_v cherish_v and_o comfort_v their_o young_a and_o therefore_o man_n and_o woman_n who_o god_n have_v endue_v with_o so_o many_o excellent_a gift_n as_o knowledge_n understanding_n wisdom_n and_o the_o rest_n far_o above_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o his_o creature_n beside_o can_v err_v in_o this_o point_n of_o duty_n and_o again_o another_o reason_n may_v be_v allege_v that_o there_o have_v be_v so_o much_o and_o so_o long_o teach_v to_o this_o effect_n that_o man_n and_o woman_n in_o these_o our_o day_n for_o the_o most_o part_n of_o they_o have_v be_v instruct_v in_o these_o thing_n themselves_o even_o from_o their_o youth_n and_o every_o private_a man_n house_n be_v furnish_v with_o bibles_n &_o book_n to_o this_o effect_n so_o that_o every_o man_n may_v be_v his_o own_o schoolmaster_n herein_o &_o will_v it_o be_v think_v then_o that_o parent_n can_v instruct_v their_o child_n in_o these_o thing_n â—_o sure_o no._n indeed_o i_o do_v confess_v this_o in_o other_o what_o a_o great_a blessing_n we_o enjoy_v more_o than_o our_o forefather_n do_v through_o the_o plenteous_a and_o public_a teach_n of_o the_o gospel_n whereby_o we_o learn_v both_o how_o to_o govern_v ourselves_o and_o other_o some_o sort_n to_o be_v true_a and_o bless_v the_o lord_n for_o this_o his_o work_n yeâ—_n be_v he_o for_o ever_o bless_v for_o this_o his_o great_a mercy_n towards_o we_o for_o that_o we_o live_v in_o such_o and_o so_o happy_a a_o time_n wherein_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v so_o plentiful_a and_o open_o teach_v we_o &_o every_o man_n that_o will_n may_v enjoy_v the_o same_o at_o home_n with_o he_o to_o the_o comfort_n of_o he_o and_o he_o our_o father_n have_v not_o this_o privilege_n they_o may_v mumble_v on_o their_o bead_n but_o not_o matter_n on_o their_o bibles_n on_o pain_n of_o curse_n but_o if_o they_o do_v they_o fry_v for_o 1._o king_n 19_o than_o he_o know_v of_o that_o never_o honour_a ball._n but_o give_v i_o leave_v a_o little_a i_o pray_v you_o and_o i_o will_v but_o entreat_v you_o to_o take_v a_o view_n as_o in_o we_o not_o daily_o hear_v they_o as_o we_o pass_v almost_o in_o every_o place_n blaspheme_v the_o holy_a name_n of_o god_n with_o great_a oath_n and_o sing_v of_o most_o lewd_a and_o filthy_a song_n full_a of_o most_o odious_a speech_n to_o the_o parent_n the_o lewdness_n of_o child_n be_v the_o ill_a guide_n of_o the_o parent_n grief_n of_o any_o good_a heart_n or_o chaste_a care_n do_v not_o goodness_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o choose_v a_o good_a servant_n but_o to_o preserve_v he_o still_o in_o goodness_n point_n of_o the_o master_n to_o be_v careful_a what_o servant_n he_o take_v into_o his_o family_n so_o the_o master_n must_v be_v careful_a likewise_o to_o bring_v up_o his_o servant_n religious_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o service_n &_o that_o must_v be_v in_o see_v that_o his_o servant_n come_v to_o the_o public_a exercise_n of_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o due_a time_n &_o that_o they_o there_o remain_v all_o the_o whole_a time_n of_o prayer_n and_o teach_n and_o that_o they_o be_v in_o as_o convenient_a place_n as_o they_o may_v that_o so_o they_o may_v have_v the_o oversight_n of_o they_o for_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o that_o the_o master_n they_o that_o so_o they_o may_v live_v at_o the_o more_o ease_n pleasure_n &_o idleness_n themselves_o than_o all_o be_v well_o as_o they_o think_v or_o turn_v it_o otherwise_o if_o you_o please_v and_o make_v the_o best_a of_o it_o by_o the_o way_n of_o good_a husbandry_n as_o a_o mean_a for_o they_o to_o thrive_v by_o and_o yet_o you_o shall_v find_v the_o end_n thereof_o to_o be_v only_o this_o to_o satisfy_v their_o never_o satisfy_v coveteousnesse_n man_n do_v regard_v their_o beast_n as_o much_o as_o this_o their_o ox_n their_o ass_n their_o horse_n and_o such_o like_a yea_o &_o make_v clean_o lie_v clean_o and_o have_v his_o fill_n of_o provender_n to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v be_v the_o better_a able_a to_o bear_v he_o on_o his_o journey_n the_o husband_n man_n likewise_o in_o the_o care_n of_o his_o cattle_n be_v very_o laborious_a for_o his_o profit_n protect_v they_o from_o weather_n water_n and_o such_o like_a danger_n and_o be_v continual_o among_o they_o shift_v they_o from_o ground_n to_o ground_n &_o from_o pastuer_n to_o pasture_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v the_o better_o feed_v &_o profit_n &_o that_o beast_n many_o lewd_a master_n do_v make_v less_o account_n of_o their_o servant_n than_o other_o do_v of_o their_o beast_n if_o any_o disease_n do_v befall_v they_o he_o may_v the_o soon_o remove_v it_o from_o among_o they_o &_o in_o these_o thing_n man_n be_v wise_a &_o careful_a enough_o as_o be_v fit_v but_o my_o dear_a brother_n there_o be_v many_o among_o we_o which_o bear_v the_o name_n of_o christian_n and_o have_v the_o government_n of_o servant_n which_o to_o their_o shame_n i_o speak_v it_o do_v make_v less_o account_n of_o their_o servant_n they_o these_o man_n do_v of_o their_o beast_n for_o they_o will_v look_v to_o their_o and_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o that_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o they_o find_v in_o their_o several_a calling_n but_o i_o speak_v of_o those_o who_o can_v be_v content_a &_o do_v careful_o enough_o set_v their_o servant_n unto_o their_o labour_n as_o it_o be_v fit_a indeed_o they_o shall_v but_o do_v give_v they_o small_a comfort_n and_o cherish_n in_o their_o labour_n load_v they_o with_o labour_n
