all_o common_a charge_n both_o civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a shall_v be_v compel_v thereto_o by_o assessment_n and_o distress_n to_o be_v levy_v by_o the_o constable_n or_o other_o officer_n of_o the_o town_n as_o in_o other_o case_n and_o that_o the_o land_n and_o estate_n of_o all_o man_n wherever_o they_o dwell_v shall_v be_v rate_v for_o all_o town_n charge_v both_o civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a as_o aforesaid_a where_o the_o land_n and_o estate_n shall_v lie_v their_o person_n where_o they_o dwell_v see_v p._n 9_o law_n ecclesiastical_a 1_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n that_o the_o general_n court_n do_v not_o nor_o will_v hereafter_o approve_v of_o any_o such_o company_n of_o man_n as_o shall_v join_v in_o any_o pretend_a way_n of_o church_n fellowship_n unless_o they_o shall_v acquaint_v the_o magistrate_n and_o the_o elder_n of_o the_o neighbour_n church_n where_o they_o intend_v to_o join_v and_o have_v their_o approbation_n therein_o 2_o and_o it_o be_v further_o order_v that_o no_o person_n be_v a_o member_n of_o any_o church_n which_o shall_v be_v gather_v without_o the_o approbation_n of_o the_o magistrate_n and_o the_o say_a church_n shall_v be_v admit_v to_o the_o freedom_n of_o this_o commonwealth_n 3_o every_o church_n have_v also_o free_a liberty_n to_o excercise_n all_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o scripture_n 4_o every_o church_n have_v free_a liberty_n of_o election_n and_o ordination_n of_o all_o her_o officer_n from_o time_n to_o time_n provide_v they_o be_v able_a pious_a and_o orthodox_n now_o the_o question_n be_v who_o shall_v judge_v of_o these_o word_n of_o restraint_n christian_a way_n rule_n of_o the_o scripture_n word_n of_o god_n able_a and_o orthodox_n 13_o that_o if_o any_o christian_a so_o call_v within_o this_o jurisdiction_n shall_v contemptuous_o behave_v himself_o towards_o the_o word_n preach_v or_o the_o messenger_n thereof_o call_v to_o dispense_v the_o same_o in_o any_o congregation_n when_o he_o do_v faithful_o execute_v his_o service_n &_o office_n therein_o according_a to_o the_o will_n and_o word_n of_o god_n either_o by_o interrupt_v he_o in_o his_o preach_n or_o by_o charge_v he_o false_o with_o any_o error_n which_o he_o have_v not_o teach_v in_o the_o open_a face_n of_o the_o church_n or_o like_o a_o son_n of_o korah_n cast_v upon_o his_o true_a doctrine_n or_o himself_o any_o reproach_n to_o the_o dishonour_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n who_o have_v send_v he_o and_o to_o the_o disparagement_n of_o that_o his_o holy_a ordinance_n and_o make_v god_n way_n contemptible_a and_o ridiculous_a that_o every_o such_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o censure_v the_o church_n may_v pass_v shall_v for_o the_o first_o scandal_n be_v convent_v and_o reprove_v open_o by_o the_o magistrate_n at_o some_o lecture_n and_o bind_v to_o their_o good_a behaviour_n and_o if_o a_o second_o time_n they_o break_v forth_o into_o the_o like_a contemptuous_a carriage_n they_o shall_v either_o pay_v five_o pound_n to_o the_o public_a treasury_n or_o stand_v two_o hour_n open_o upon_o a_o block_n or_o stool_n four_o foot_n high_a on_o a_o lecture_n day_n with_o a_o paper_n fix_v on_o his_o breast_n write_v in_o capital_a letter_n a_fw-la open_n and_o obstinate_a contemner_n of_o god_n holy_a ordinance_n that_o other_o may_v fear_v and_o be_v ashamed_a of_o break_v out_o into_o the_o like_a wickedness_n 14_o it_o be_v order_v and_o decree_v by_o this_o court_n and_o authority_n thereof_o that_o wheresoever_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n be_v establish_v according_a to_o the_o order_n of_o the_o gospel_n throughout_o this_o jurisdiction_n every_o person_n shall_v due_o resort_v and_o attend_v thereunto_o respective_o upon_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o upon_o such_o public_a fast-day_n and_o day_n of_o thanksgiving_n as_o be_v to_o be_v general_o keep_v by_o the_o appointment_n of_o authority_n and_o if_o any_o person_n within_o this_o jurisdiction_n shall_v without_o just_a and_o necessary_a cause_n withdraw_v himself_o from_o hear_v the_o public_a ministry_n of_o the_o word_n after_o due_a mean_n of_o conviction_n use_v he_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o his_o absence_n from_o every_o such_o public_a meeting_n 5_o shilling_n all_o such_o offence_n to_o be_v hear_v and_o determine_v by_o any_o one_o magistrate_n or_o more_o from_o time_n to_o time_n 15_o it_o be_v order_v by_o this_o court_n that_o the_o civil_a authority_n here_o establish_v have_v power_n and_o liberty_n to_o see_v the_o peace_n ordinance_n and_o rule_n of_o christ_n to_o be_v observe_v in_o every_o church_n according_a to_o his_o word_n as_o also_o to_o deal_v with_o any_o church-member_n in_o a_o way_n of_o civil_a justice_n notwithstanding_o any_o church_n relation_n office_n or_o interest_n so_o it_o be_v do_v in_o a_o civil_a and_o not_o in_o a_o ecclesiastical_a way_n nor_o shall_v any_o church_n censure_v degrade_v or_o depose_v any_o man_n from_o any_o civil_a dignity_n office_n or_o authority_n he_o shall_v have_v in_o the_o commonwealth_n it_o be_v order_v that_o from_o henceforth_o all_o land_n cattle_n and_o other_o estate_n of_o any_o kind_n whatsoever_o shall_v be_v liable_a
