in_o his_o life_n that_o be_v so_o mean_a but_o he_o can_v discern_v some_o gift_n in_o he_o that_o be_v want_v in_o himself_o and_o can_v profit_v by_o he_o the_o fruit_n and_o profit_n that_o be_v to_o be_v receive_v from_o the_o ministry_n depend_v not_o only_o nor_o chief_o upon_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o man_n that_o preach_v but_o upon_o the_o blessing_n that_o god_n be_v please_v to_o give_v unto_o his_o own_o ordinance_n and_o god_n do_v oft_o give_v a_o great_a blessing_n to_o weak_a than_o to_o strong_a mean_n and_o consider_v the_o fault_n may_v be_v rather_o in_o thyself_o than_o in_o thy_o teacher_n that_o thou_o can_v not_o profit_v and_o indeed_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a thou_o shall_v profit_v by_o his_o ministry_n if_o thou_o come_v with_o prejudice_n without_o any_o reverence_n and_o delight_n unto_o it_o some_o follow_v another_o pastor_n because_o of_o his_o human_a gift_n some_o only_a for_o variety_n sake_n some_o because_o they_o show_v more_o zeal_n in_o their_o voice_n and_o gesture_n and_o phrase_n of_o speech_n and_o manner_n of_o delivery_n though_o haply_o the_o doctrine_n itself_o be_v nothing_o so_o wholesome_a as_o the_o doctrine_n of_o their_o own_o pastor_n be_v but_o he_o only_o make_v right_a use_n of_o the_o benefit_n of_o hear_v such_o as_o have_v more_o excellent_a gift_n than_o his_o own_o pastor_n as_o learn_v thereby_o to_o like_v his_o own_o pastor_n the_o better_a and_o to_o profit_v more_o by_o he_o as_o they_o use_v physic_n well_o who_o appetite_n be_v amend_v and_o who_o be_v by_o it_o make_v able_a to_o relish_v and_o like_v their_o ordinary_a food_n the_o better_a these_o be_v his_o word_n who_o be_v of_o such_o note_n heretofore_o among_o nonconformist_n and_o how_o come_v you_o to_o differ_v so_o much_o from_o the_o best_a of_o your_o own_o way_n in_o former_a day_n the_o same_o author_n speak_v of_o the_o partial_a estimation_n of_o minister_n say_v this_o factious_a disposition_n in_o the_o hearer_n of_o god_n word_n have_v in_o all_o age_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o much_o confusion_n in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o great_o hinder_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n and_o make_v they_o uncapable_a of_o profit_n by_o the_o word_n lect._n 66._o o_o that_o you_o will_v ponder_v such_o profitable_a instruction_n which_o be_v say_v on_o purpose_n to_o check_v that_o which_o be_v since_o grow_v the_o prevail_a humour_n yes_o will_v some_o say_v we_o may_v be_v persuade_v to_o hear_v your_o preacher_n constant_o but_o you_o can_v never_o justify_v the_o compel_v we_o to_o it_o but_o say_v mr._n hildersham_n lect._n 52._o it_o be_v certain_a that_o where_o there_o be_v a_o good_a ministry_n establish_v the_o magistrate_n may_v and_o aught_o to_o compel_v all_o want_v of_o which_o multitude_n do_v not_o profit_n by_o our_o saviour_n sermon_n but_o be_v rather_o more_o exasperate_v by_o they_o consider_v i_o beseech_v you_o whether_o this_o be_v not_o your_o case_n and_o submit_v unto_o what_o shall_v appear_v to_o be_v reason_n after_o you_o have_v weigh_v the_o matter_n impartial_o this_o i_o hope_v will_v bring_v you_o to_o church_n where_o if_o you_o do_v not_o present_o find_v such_o profit_n as_o be_v promise_v you_o may_v conclude_v in_o mr._n hildersham_n word_n first_o either_o you_o have_v not_o seek_v it_o aright_o not_o with_o earnestness_n or_o not_o with_o a_o good_a heart_n or_o second_o if_o you_o have_v and_o do_v not_o find_v it_o at_o first_o yet_o you_o shall_v hereafter_o if_o you_o seek_v it_o here_o with_o a_o he_o that_o be_v away_o from_o any_o part_n of_o the_o sermon_n shall_v profit_v the_o less_o by_o that_o which_o he_o do_v hear_v so_o he_o '_o that_o be_v away_o from_o any_o part_n of_o the_o profaneness_n even_o in_o child_n and_o contempt_n do_v by_o any_o may_v bring_v god_n curse_n upon_o all_o and_o certain_o say_v he_o among_o other_o cause_n of_o the_o plague_n and_o other_o
