desirable_a but_o no_o rest_n so_o desirable_a as_o this_o a_o ease_n of_o those_o burden_n which_o be_v present_o set_v before_o you_o will_v exceed_o lighten_v the_o mind_n and_o quicken_v and_o cheer_v up_o the_o spirit_n but_o none_o can_v give_v this_o ease_n but_o jesus_n who_o here_o promise_v it_o some_o philosopher_n have_v propose_v some_o antidote_n against_o affliction_n but_o for_o the_o most_o part_n they_o talk_v impertinent_o when_o they_o speak_v of_o the_o other_o three_o but_o as_o the_o great_a and_o true_a comfort_n under_o affliction_n come_v from_o jesus_n christ_n so_o it_o be_v he_o only_o who_o can_v satisfy_v the_o large_a crave_n of_o the_o soul_n who_o can_v take_v away_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n and_o the_o gild_n of_o sin_n and_o as_o he_o can_v so_o he_o will_v for_o he_o have_v promise_v it_o here_o come_v and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_n this_o rest_n must_v certain_o imply_v a_o full_a and_o perfect_a ease_n of_o all_o misery_n which_o must_v not_o imitate_v the_o act_n of_o his_o almighty_a power_n or_o what_o be_v proper_a to_o his_o mediatory_a office_n it_o be_v no_o part_n of_o our_o duty_n to_o imitate_v he_o in_o his_o miracle_n in_o his_o walk_n on_o the_o water_n command_v the_o wind_n and_o sea_n cast_v out_o devil_n fast_v forty_o day_n and_o the_o like_a what_o we_o ought_v to_o imitate_v be_v the_o divine_a virtue_n which_o shine_v forth_o in_o his_o holy_a life_n and_o which_o appear_v in_o all_o his_o action_n wherefore_o he_o say_v learn_v of_o i_o for_o i_o be_o meek_a and_o lowly_a in_o heart_n ourselves_o in_o all_o circumstance_n and_o condition_n in_o poverty_n and_o affliction_n under_o contempt_n and_o disgrace_n when_o we_o be_v hate_v and_o persecute_v and_o though_o he_o possess_v not_o outward_a plenty_n and_o grandeur_n yet_o several_a of_o his_o action_n show_v the_o true_a end_n and_o use_v of_o these_o and_o do_v teach_v those_o who_o possess_v they_o to_o employ_v they_o more_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o good_a and_o comfort_n of_o other_o than_o for_o their_o own_o private_a satisfaction_n from_o his_o practice_n and_o example_n we_o may_v learn_v our_o duty_n to_o superior_n inferior_n and_o equal_n but_o though_o he_o be_v a_o pattern_n of_o all_o virtue_n and_o goodness_n yet_o he_o instance_v only_o in_o meekness_n and_o humility_n either_o
