his_o mighty_a word_n have_v by_o himself_o purge_v our_o sin_n and_o sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o majesty_n in_o the_o high_a place_n these_o thing_n be_v speak_v partly_o of_o the_o end_n we_o may_v learn_v that_o god_n be_v no_o otherwise_o manifest_v unto_o we_o but_o in_o christ_n for_o so_o infinite_a be_v that_o brightness_n which_o be_v in_o the_o essence_n of_o god_n that_o our_o eye_n be_v dazzle_v therewith_o till_o such_o time_n as_o he_o shine_v unto_o we_o in_o christ_n whereof_o it_o follow_v that_o unless_o god_n show_v we_o his_o brightness_n in_o christ_n we_o shall_v be_v utter_o blind_v with_o the_o behold_n of_o that_o light_n and_o this_o indeed_o be_v a_o very_a profitable_a philosophy_n namely_o to_o learn_v the_o excellency_n of_o christ_n by_o and_o the_o greek_a word_n which_o be_v translate_v image_n signify_v a_o lively_a form_n of_o that_o substance_n which_o be_v hide_v and_o invisible_a by_o the_o first_o word_n than_o we_o learn_v that_o out_o of_o christ_n we_o can_v find_v no_o light_n but_o rather_o mere_a darkness_n for_o although_o god_n be_v the_o only_a light_n wherewith_o we_o must_v be_v enlighten_v yet_o there_o be_v no_o other_o mean_n whereby_o he_o shed_v the_o same_o into_o we_o but_o by_o this_o splendancie_n of_o his_o son_n if_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v by_o the_o second_o word_n we_o be_v admonish_v that_o god_n be_v true_o and_o full_o know_v in_o christ_n for_o he_o be_v no_o dark_a or_o shadowish_a image_n of_o he_o but_o the_o lively_a ingrave_v form_n resemble_v he_o natural_o as_o the_o money_n accept_v for_o such_o be_v the_o care_n of_o a_o good_a pastor_n that_o while_o he_o study_v for_o the_o good_a of_o the_o whole_a flock_n he_o be_v likewise_o watchful_a over_o every_o particular_a sheep_n that_o not_o any_o one_o of_o they_o through_o his_o default_n do_v perish_v yea_o every_o one_o of_o we_o ought_v to_o have_v the_o same_o care_n over_o one_o another_o and_o to_o fear_v for_o other_o man_n sake_n as_o well_o as_o for_o our_o own_o now_o this_o fear_n which_o be_v here_o recommend_v unto_o we_o faith_n fear_n ought_v not_o to_o take_v away_o the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n be_v not_o to_o take_v away_o from_o we_o the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n but_o it_o be_v to_o quicken_v we_o to_o such_o great_a care_n that_o by_o our_o negligence_n we_o shall_v not_o of_o it_o but_o they_o who_o put_v grace_n away_o from_o they_o have_v first_o renounce_v the_o same_o for_o it_o be_v so_o far_o off_o that_o god_n shall_v repent_v he_o of_o his_o well_o do_v that_o on_o the_o contrary_n he_o never_o cease_v to_o enlarge_v his_o gift_n continual_o if_o so_o be_v there_o be_v not_o a_o contempt_n
salvation_n as_o often_o then_o as_o we_o be_v burden_a and_o faint_a under_o the_o infirmity_n of_o our_o flesh_n let_v we_o remember_v that_o the_o son_n of_o god_n have_v both_o feel_v and_o have_v experience_n of_o the_o like_a to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v sustain_v we_o by_o his_o power_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v overwhelm_v under_o they_o but_o here_o it_o may_v be_v ask_v what_o he_o contempt_n poverty_n and_o the_o like_a as_o we_o may_v see_v in_o many_o place_n of_o paul_n but_o special_o in_o the_o 2._o cor._n 12.10_o but_o their_o opinion_n be_v the_o best_a who_o with_o poverty_n and_o outward_a misery_n do_v also_o comprehend_v affliction_n of_o mind_n as_o fear_v sorrow_n terror_n of_o death_n and_o such_o like_a and_o indeed_o this_o restraint_n without_o sin_n shall_v otherwise_o be_v in_o vain_a for_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o perversitie_n of_o our_o nature_n our_o affection_n be_v always_o vicious_a but_o they_o be_v exempt_a from_o all_o vice_n in_o christ_n because_o in_o he_o there_o be_v a_o sovereign_a uprightness_n and_o a_o purity_n most_o perfect_a it_o be_v certain_a that_o sickness_n and_o poverty_n together_o with_o the_o thing_n poor_a miserable_a people_n be_v command_v to_o doubt_v whether_o god_n will_v be_v gracious_a and_o favourable_a or_o whether_o he_o will_v be_v angry_a with_o they_o they_o command_v man_n indeed_o to_o seek_v god_n but_o they_o show_v they_o not_o the_o way_n by_o which_o they_o may_v come_v unto_o he_o nay_o rather_o they_o even_o shut_v up_o the_o gate_n which_o only_o give_v they_o entrance_n i_o grant_v they_o confess_v that_o christ_n be_v a_o mediator_n in_o the_o general_n but_o when_o it_o come_v to_o the_o point_n they_o abolish_v the_o virtue_n of_o his_o priesthood_n and_o despoil_v he_o of_o his_o honour_n for_o this_o be_v a_o sure_a point_n that_o where_o christ_n be_v know_v indeed_o to_o be_v the_o true_a mediator_n there_o forthwith_o do_v all_o doubt_n from_o fear_n and_o tremble_a do_v clothe_v it_o with_o grace_n and_o give_v a_o name_n unto_o it_o that_o may_v draw_v we_o by_o the_o sweetness_n thereof_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v since_o god_n what_o it_o be_v that_o be_v due_a to_o work_n the_o scripture_n every_o where_o show_v none_o other_o cause_n of_o our_o salvation_n than_o the_o free_a mercy_n of_o god_n now_o whereas_o god_n in_o many_o place_n promise_v reward_n to_o work_n this_o depend_v upon_o his_o free_a promise_n by_o which_o he_o have_v adopt_v we_o for_o his_o child_n and_o reconcile_v we_o unto_o himself_o not_o impute_v our_o sin_n unto_o us._n reward_v then_o be_v appoint_v unto_o work_n not_o for_o any_o merit_n that_o be_v in_o they_o liberality_n reward_n be_v not_o give_v unto_o work_n for_o any_o merit_n but_o upon_o god_n mere_a liberality_n but_o by_o the_o mere_a liberality_n of_o god_n yea_o even_o this_o free_a recompense_n of_o work_n proceed_v from_o the_o free_a bounty_n and_o liberality_n of_o god_n have_v no_o place_n till_o we_o be_v receive_v into_o favour_n by_o the_o mean_n of_o christ_n we_o gather_v from_o hence_o then_o that_o god_n in_o do_v this_o pay_v nothing_o
