keep_v it_o though_o not_o perfect_o yet_o sincere_o than_o they_o take_v themselves_o bind_v to_o obey_v the_o law_n though_o they_o be_v under_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n for_o do_v we_o make_v void_a the_o law_n through_o say_v god_n forbid_v yea_o we_o establish_v the_o law_n for_o what_o need_n have_v christian_n of_o free_a justification_n by_o christ_n if_o they_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o obedience_n by_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o law_n therefore_o the_o free_a justification_n of_o man_n under_o a_o free_a covenant_n of_o grace_n do_v establish_v the_o obedience_n of_o the_o law_n the_o subjection_n of_o god_n people_n to_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o law_n 1._o as_o they_o take_v themselves_o bind_v to_o the_o obedience_n of_o it_o so_o they_o believe_v and_o many_o time_n feel_v the_o fatherly_a displeasure_n of_o god_n when_o they_o transgress_v the_o law_n now_o the_o transgression_n of_o the_o law_n can_v not_o bring_v they_o under_o god_n displeasure_n unless_o they_o be_v bind_v unto_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o law_n this_o displeasure_n david_n be_v sensible_a of_o psal_n 38.1_o 2_o 3._o etc._n etc._n there_o be_v no_o soundness_n in_o my_o flesh_n because_o of_o thy_o anger_n neither_o be_v there_o any_o rest_n in_o my_o bone_n because_o of_o my_o sin_n and_o many_o complaint_n of_o like_a nature_n do_v he_o there_o make_v which_o do_v all_o not_o grant_v faith_n and_o good_a work_n to_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o all_o the_o bless_a gift_n of_o god_n they_o will_v take_v it_o marvellous_o unkindly_a but_o they_o be_v as_o good_a deliver_v unto_o we_o another_o gospel_n this_o may_v also_o serve_v to_o teach_v the_o people_n of_o god_n to_o bear_v a_o gracious_a respect_n unto_o those_o that_o be_v under_o a_o covenan_n tof_o work_v use_v 3_o and_o not_o forthwith_o to_o condemn_v they_o as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o their_o salvation_n for_o god_n never_o call_v any_o unto_o fellowship_n with_o himself_o in_o a_o performance_n and_o then_o god_n may_v burn_v up_o all_o such_o false_a confidence_n therefore_o those_o that_o be_v under_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n may_v belong_v unto_o the_o lord_n as_o well_o as_o thyself_o pray_v for_o they_o therefore_o paul_n be_v under_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n steven_n pray_v for_o he_o and_o as_o most_o conceive_v that_o prayer_n be_v effectual_a unto_o his_o fellowship_n with_o he_o than_o it_o seem_v to_o i_o apparent_o to_o follow_v that_o whatsoever_o save_v work_n there_o be_v in_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v not_o there_o before_o christ_n be_v there_o it_o be_v true_a john_n baptist_n be_v send_v to_o subdue_v all_o flesh_n by_o a_o spirit_n of_o burn_v which_o burn_v up_o carnal_a confidence_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o abraham_n and_o all_o christ_n i_o mean_v so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v without_o christ_n free_o justify_v of_o we_o by_o his_o grace_n so_o far_o a_o christian_n be_v free_v from_o under_o the_o law_n in_o one_o word_n a_o perjure_a person_n and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o other_o thing_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o sound_v doctrine_n the_o covenant_n of_o the_o law_n be_v give_v unto_o such_o and_o unto_o none_o but_o such_o to_o convince_v they_o of_o their_o sin_n against_o the_o law_n to_o humble_v they_o to_o the_o death_n and_o to_o drive_v they_o out_o of_o themselves_o and_o confidence_n in_o themselves_o but_o how_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o the_o covenant_n of_o the_o law_n be_v not_o give_v to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n from_o hence_o it_o be_v manifest_a 1._o because_o a_o christian_a man_n neither_o look_v for_o justification_n and_o salvation_n from_o his_o obedience_n to_o the_o law_n nor_o fear_v condemnation_n though_o he_o fail_v in_o his_o obedience_n and_o this_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o his_o exemption_n from_o under_o the_o covevenant_n of_o the_o law_n for_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v look_v for_o life_n by_o his_o obedience_n to_o the_o law_n and_o fear_v condemnation_n by_o the_o breach_n of_o it_o this_o will_v bring_v a_o man_n under_o the_o covenant_n of_o the_o law_n for_o the_o sanctification_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o the_o law_n be_v life_n to_o they_o that_o obey_v and_o to_o they_o that_o disobey_v death_n and_o the_o curse_n but_o a_o christian_n look_v not_o for_o life_n by_o his_o obedience_n and_o that_o be_v plain_a psal_n 143.2_o enter_v not_o into_o judgement_n with_o thy_o servant_n for_o in_o thy_o sight_n shall_v no_o flesh_n live_v be_v justify_v so_o rom._n 3.20_o by_o the_o deed_n of_o the_o law_n there_o shall_v no_o flesh_n be_v justify_v for_o by_o the_o law_n be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n therefore_o no_o hope_n of_o salvation_n from_o our_o obedience_n to_o the_o law_n but_o methinks_v you_o will_v say_v a_o christian_a may_v fear_v his_o condemnation_n because_o of_o his_o disobedience_n to_o the_o law_n true_o this_o be_v a_o great_a snare_n and_o this_o doctrine_n will_v be_v scandalous_a to_o many_o a_o poor_a soul_n but_o without_o cause_n indeed_o if_o god_n give_v a_o man_n to_o be_v under_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o not_o to_o see_v it_o than_o he_o may_v fear_v but_o if_o a_o man_n know_v himself_o to_o be_v under_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n than_o he_o do_v not_o fear_v condemnation_n from_o his_o disobedience_n notable_a to_o this_o purpose_n be_v the_o confidence_n of_o david_n psal_n 49.5_o where_o the_o prophet_n call_v upon_o all_o people_n in_o the_o world_n to_o take_v notice_n of_o it_o both_o man_n of_o high_a degree_n and_o man_n of_o low_a degree_n wherefore_o shall_v i_o fear_v in_o the_o day_n so_o of_o evil_n when_o the_o iniquity_n of_o my_o heel_n shall_v compass_v i_o about_o wherefore_o true_o if_o there_o be_v any_o fear_n in_o the_o
