for_o any_o work_n of_o wisdom_n or_o patience_n to_o take_v place_n and_o therefore_o now_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o a_o counsellor_n and_o as_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n be_v dead_a in_o the_o soul_n because_o the_o strength_n of_o all_o be_v employ_v another_o way_n 2_o 2_o so_o second_o we_o deprive_v ourselves_o of_o the_o comfort_n and_o virtue_n of_o the_o promise_n that_o be_v may_v enjoy_v the_o spirit_n and_o promise_n of_o god_n be_v that_o which_o must_v help_v a_o christian_a in_o all_o his_o strait_n now_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n die_v in_o the_o heart_n by_o meditation_n of_o sin_n our_o forget_v of_o god_n promise_n stop_v the_o stream_n of_o his_o goodness_n so_o as_o we_o receive_v not_o that_o grace_n that_o we_o may_v do_v for_o the_o strengthen_n of_o we_o in_o common_a reason_n we_o know_v this_o god_n do_v communicate_v grace_n to_o we_o from_o his_o promise_n but_o we_o must_v look_v up_o to_o it_o and_o turn_v our_o mind_n and_o thought_n towards_o it_o now_o when_o a_o man_n have_v turn_v his_o meditation_n upon_o the_o world_n and_o the_o occasion_n thereof_o he_o be_v go_v clean_o off_o from_o the_o promise_n and_o not_o meditate_v upon_o the_o promise_n and_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n he_o can_v receive_v no_o strength_n nor_o comfort_n from_o the_o same_o heb._n 12.3_o the_o text_n say_v consider_v he_o that_o suspicion_n he_o will_v be_v overtake_v by_o his_o lust_n if_o we_o see_v a_o man_n eat_v ill_a meat_n excessive_o we_o use_v to_o say_v questionless_a he_o will_v surfeit_v will_v any_o man_n have_v do_v so_o except_o he_o do_v provide_v for_o sickness_n so_o if_o our_o meditation_n do_v run_v upon_o any_o sinful_a course_n or_o base_a lust_n a_o man_n may_v almost_o conclude_v we_o will_v surfeit_v upon_o the_o same_o if_o a_o man_n will_v provide_v for_o the_o world_n the_o world_n will_v overtake_v he_o and_o if_o he_o provide_v for_o his_o pleasure_n they_o will_v certain_o ensnare_v he_o do_v you_o find_v a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o secret_a kind_n of_o dislike_n at_o the_o pureness_n and_o truth_n of_o god_n and_o that_o do_v despise_v good_a counsel_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n his_o provision_n will_v tell_v you_o what_o guest_n will_v come_v to_o his_o house_n if_o we_o see_v what_o provision_n be_v in_o a_o man_n house_n we_o may_v easy_o conjecture_v what_o his_o guest_n will_v be_v as_o it_o be_v in_o housekeep_v just_a so_o it_o be_v in_o heart-keeping_a when_o we_o see_v what_o provision_n a_o man_n make_v for_o his_o lust_n we_o may_v know_v what_o his_o course_n will_v be_v 8_o rom._n 12_o 8_o the_o apostle_n say_v when_o man_n do_v not_o like_a to_o retain_v god_n in_o their_o knowledge_n god_n give_v they_o to_o a_o reprobate_a mind_n to_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v good_a in_o their_o own_o eye_n that_o soul_n that_o set_v itself_o against_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n will_v if_o he_o can_v pluck_v god_n from_o heaven_n oh_o wretched_a man_n what_o do_v thou_o despite_v the_o spirit_n if_o thou_o have_v no_o spirit_n than_o thou_o be_v a_o damn_a man_n and_o as_o thou_o do_v not_o like_a to_o approve_v of_o god_n in_o thy_o knowledge_n god_n will_v erelong_o give_v thou_o up_o to_o a_o reprobate_a sense_n it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o a_o man_n be_v devote_v to_o destruction_n and_o even_o seal_v unto_o condemnation_n that_o undervalue_v the_o knowledge_n &_o way_n of_o god_n and_o have_v no_o delight_n in_o jesus_n christ_n but_o despite_n the_o spirit_n and_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n it_o be_v just_a that_o thou_o shall_v be_v rid_v of_o this_o holiness_n and_o bless_a presence_n for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o god_n give_v they_o up_o say_v the_o text_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v take_v he_o a_o mind_n that_o shall_v never_o know_v god_n that_o shall_v never_o taste_v grace_n and_o goodness_n harden_v that_o man_n heart_n he_o shall_v never_o receive_v virtue_n nor_o
