and_o not_o the_o husband_n the_o weak_a vessel_n and_o not_o the_o strong_a the_o body_n and_o not_o the_o head_n to_o obey_v and_o not_o to_o rule_v that_o be_v not_o to_o rule_v without_o obedience_n to_o grudge_v hereat_o be_v not_o against_o the_o husband_n but_o against_o god_n withal_o to_o govern_v otherwise_o be_v not_o to_o rule_v but_o to_o usurp_v therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v not_o the_o wife_n shall_v not_o rule_v but_o he_o say_v 2.12_o 1._o tim._n 2.12_o i_o permit_v not_o a_o woman_n to_o teach_v nor_o to_o usurp_v authority_n over_o the_o man_n that_o be_v as_o it_o that_o be_v not_o bear_v the_o lose_n of_o his_o authority_n if_o he_o be_v foolish_a he_o will_v be_v more_o intemperate_a and_o not_o endure_v it_o wise_o therefore_o do_v abigail_n in_o the_o case_n of_o her_o husband_n danger_n wisdom_n abigail_v wisdom_n who_o not_o consult_v with_o he_o because_o he_o be_v not_o in_o case_n venture_v rather_o in_o a_o good_a action_n to_o bear_v some_o blame_n then_o to_o omit_v a_o needful_a thing_n sure_o if_o he_o have_v know_v it_o it_o be_v probable_a he_o will_v not_o have_v consent_v which_o thing_n because_o she_o fear_v &_o know_v he_o may_v restrain_v her_o will_n she_o do_v it_o privily_o so_o such_o wife_n as_o who_o husband_n be_v nabal_n have_v only_a liberty_n to_o do_v good_a without_o consent_n and_o to_o hazard_v blame_n but_o that_o the_o husband_n may_v restrain_v if_o he_o be_v acquaint_v with_o their_o purpose_n and_o they_o must_v obey_v there_o be_v no_o question_n let_v the_o wife_n therefore_o by_o all_o mean_n shun_v the_o obloquy_n of_o a_o contentious_a wife_n wherein_o be_v so_o much_o dishonour_n as_o almost_o nothing_o more_o for_o what_o a_o shame_n be_v it_o to_o a_o wife_n to_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o drop_a house_n or_o to_o have_v a_o corner_n in_o a_o house_n top_n for_o a_o man_n to_o live_v alone_o in_o yea_o or_o the_o very_a wilderness_n to_o be_v prefer_v before_o she_o therefore_o if_o they_o do_v but_o know_v what_o fetter_n bond_n and_o persuasion_n their_o kind_n and_o dutiful_a behaviour_n be_v unto_o very_o foolish_a much_o more_o to_o wise_a and_o godly_a husband_n for_o obtain_v of_o their_o will_n in_o thing_n lawful_a and_o necessary_a they_o will_v never_o fall_v into_o a_o contentious_a humour_n but_o by_o kindness_n overcome_v sun_n a_o similitude_n of_o the_o wind_n and_o the_o sun_n the_o wind_n and_o the_o sun_n may_v be_v similitude_n in_o this_o case_n to_o set_v forth_o the_o effect_n hereof_o it_o be_v say_v they_o once_o contend_v who_o shall_v have_v the_o victory_n to_o make_v a_o traveller_n cast_v off_o his_o cloak_n the_o wind_n begin_v after_o his_o ruffle_a manner_n to_o blow_v with_o strength_n then_o more_o strong_o after_o that_o with_o violence_n as_o though_o he_o will_v carry_v away_o man_n and_o all_o but_o the_o more_o he_o threaten_v the_o fast_o the_o say_v traveller_n hold_v his_o cloak_n about_o he_o neither_o can_v the_o wind_n by_o his_o ruffle_n get_v victory_n the_o sun_n by_o warmth_n and_o fair_a demean_n set_v upon_o his_o task_n who_o not_o at_o first_o prevail_a increase_v his_o warmth_n till_o at_o length_n not_o only_o it_o cause_v he_o to_o cast_v off_o his_o cloak_n but_o his_o coat_n and_o doublet_n too_o so_o very_o if_o wife_n do_v know_v how_o unsavoury_a their_o ruffle_a course_n of_o contention_n be_v unto_o husband_n heart_n 5._o though_o kind_n and_o dutiful_a persuasion_n will_v not_o prevail_v yet_o must_v contention_n needs_o be_v the_o worst_a though_o by_o it_o she_o shall_v prevail_v because_o it_o be_v no_o honest_a mean_v appoint_v of_o god_n mark_n 6.21_o hest_n 5._o and_o how_o much_o their_o amiable_a love_a &_o patient_a persuasion_n be_v more_o likely_a if_o aught_o at_o all_o to_o take_v place_n with_o they_o not_o only_o to_o get_v victory_n of_o the_o cloak_n but_o of_o coat_n and_o all_o &_o wise_o watch_v their_o time_n and_o season_n as_o herodias_n do_v though_o in_o a_o bad_a cause_n but_o indeed_o as_o queen_n hester_n do_v in_o a_o better_a &_o good_a cause_n they_o will_v sure_o abhor_v and_o abandon_v their_o windy_a course_n and_o whole_o cleave_v unto_o the_o way_n of_o wisdom_n they_o be_v therefore_o more_o than_o foolish_a for_o even_o that_o name_n the_o scripture_n give_v unto_o indiscreet_a both_o woman_n and_o as_o nabal_n be_v and_o therein_o give_v occasion_n or_o cause_n to_o a_o contentious_a nature_n but_o the_o wife_n must_v avoid_v it_o as_o abigail_n do_v who_o wise_o prevent_v the_o evil_a but_o brawl_v not_o for_o his_o folly_n let_v this_o rule_n be_v observe_v and_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o contention_n but_o when_o this_o advice_n in_o the_o wife_n be_v no_o more_o regard_v then_o in_o many_o it_o be_v and_o that_o the_o order_n of_o god_n decree_n be_v so_o violate_a 3.16_o gen._n 3.16_o be_v it_o any_o marvel_n if_o there_o be_v contention_n between_o man_n and_o wife_n nay_o
