not_o remember_v that_o your_o heart_n for_o many_o of_o you_o be_v sincere_a to_o god_n for_o many_o year_n whilst_o you_o be_v of_o their_o persuasion_n and_o will_v not_o they_o have_v make_v a_o wrong_a judgement_n if_o any_o shall_v then_o have_v question_v your_o integrity_n upon_o account_n of_o you_o not_o see_v what_o they_o see_v and_o therefore_o sure_o your_o own_o experience_n herein_o oblige_v you_o to_o judge_v the_o best_a of_o other_o who_o now_o be_v what_o you_o once_o be_v and_o therefore_o my_o exhortation_n be_v that_o with_o all_o christian_a respect_n and_o love_v you_o own_o and_o honour_v such_o so_o far_o as_o they_o and_o you_o have_v attain_v the_o same_o thing_n there_o will_v many_o be_v save_v in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n that_o have_v build_v upon_o christ_n the_o only_a foundation_n some_o of_o who_o work_n notwithstanding_o shall_v burn_v that_o have_v be_v undue_o build_v on_o that_o foundation_n through_o misprision_n the_o ministry_n of_o the_o nation_n take_v one_o word_n of_o advice_n from_o i_o which_o i_o be_o full_o persuade_v be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o lord_n where_o you_o find_v any_o in_o who_o there_o appear_v a_o true_a love_n to_o man_n soul_n and_o a_o earnest_a desire_n to_o gain_v man_n to_o god_n by_o preach_v wholesome_a doctrine_n take_v heed_n of_o discourage_v they_o in_o that_o work_n upon_o account_n of_o any_o difference_n of_o judgement_n between_o you_o and_o they_o and_o take_v heed_n of_o hinder_v the_o success_n of_o their_o labour_n this_o way_n by_o blemish_v they_o in_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n or_o undermind_v their_o reputation_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o people_n you_o will_v do_v christianly_o in_o a_o humble_a wise_a and_o faithful_a way_n to_o labour_v all_o you_o can_v to_o make_v they_o and_o the_o people_n they_o preach_v to_o one_o with_o you_o in_o the_o truth_n and_o to_o bring_v they_o under_o rule_n wherein_o upon_o good_a ground_n you_o apprehend_v disorder_n in_o their_o way_n but_o yet_o be_v sure_a you_o acknowledge_v their_o zeal_n to_o man_n salvation_n as_o a_o most_o worthy_a thing_n and_o honourable_a in_o they_o and_o great_o rejoice_v when_o you_o see_v the_o success_n of_o their_o faithful_a labour_n zeal_n and_o love_n in_o any_o man_n soul_n do_v not_o think_v but_o that_o god_n which_o bless_v their_o and_o their_o predecessor_n labour_n to_o many_o of_o our_o soul_n which_o we_o have_v cause_n with_o thanksgiving_n unto_o god_n for_o ever_o to_o remember_v may_v also_o prosper_v to_o the_o lay_n of_o any_o ordinance_n or_o gospel_n order_n total_o aside_o but_o in_o urge_v they_o as_o man_n be_v able_a to_o bear_v they_o with_o safety_n of_o the_o edification_n of_o their_o soul_n in_o the_o main_a rom._n 14.1_o for_o look_v what_o the_o safety_n of_o the_o people_n be_v in_o civil_n that_o edification_n be_v in_o spiritual_n to_o wit_n the_o supreme_a law_n to_o which_o all_o must_v stoop_v and_o therefore_o when_o the_o strict_a observation_n in_o the_o letter_n of_o such_o or_o such_o a_o law_n fall_v out_o to_o cross_v the_o end_n of_o its_o own_o institution_n as_o sometime_o it_o may_v whether_o it_o do_v not_o so_o far_o and_o in_o that_o case_n and_o for_o that_o time_n lose_v its_o power_n of_o oblige_v to_o the_o letter_n be_v a_o thing_n worthy_a your_o serious_a consideration_n especial_o consider_v that_o christ_n seem_v to_o excuse_v a_o literal_a breach_n of_o the_o sabbath_n in_o his_o disciple_n upon_o a_o like_a ground_n say_v the_o sabbath_n be_v make_v for_o man_n and_o not_o man_n for_o the_o sabbath_n mark_v 2.27_o the_o sabbath_n be_v make_v for_o man_n that_o be_v for_o man_n ease_n rest_n and_o refresh_v for_o this_o plain_o be_v one_o end_n of_o the_o sabbath_n exod._n 23.12_o deut._n 5.14_o and_o therefore_o when_o the_o forbearance_n of_o such_o a_o act_n of_o bodily_a labour_n as_o the_o gather_n of_o ear_n for_o which_o it_o be_v build_v 2_o chron._n 8.16_o so_o be_v faith_n when_o nothing_o be_v want_v to_o it_o to_o answer_v the_o end_n whereto_o it_o be_v to_o serve_v but_o now_o as_o long_o as_o faith_n be_v alone_o or_o by_o itself_o without_o work_n it_o be_v dead_a as_o we_o hear_v before_o and_o so_o in_o no_o capacity_n to_o justify_v or_o reach_v its_o end_n nor_o do_v it_o come_v that_o which_o will_v not_o and_o which_o bring_v that_o kind_n of_o believe_v under_o the_o promise_n without_o which_o all_o other_o believe_v be_v exclude_v hence_o it_o be_v i_o conceive_v that_o work_n may_v well_o and_o true_o be_v say_v to_o perfect_a faith_n as_o put_v it_o into_o a_o right_a capacity_n of_o reach_v its_o end_n but_o thus_o much_o on_o the_o by_o in_o this_o place_n sect._n 5_o as_o james_n so_o john_n oppose_v the_o vain_a confidence_n that_o be_v build_v upon_o the_o dead_a faith_n 1_o john_n 1.6_o if_o we_o say_v that_o we_o have_v fellowship_n with_o he_o and_o walk_v in_o darkness_n we_o lie_v and_o do_v not_o the_o truth_n this_o doubtless_o he_o write_v in_o opposition_n to_o some_o professor_n of_o the_o christian_a faith_n who_o though_o they_o walk_v in_o darkness_n lead_v life_n disagree_v to_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n doctrine_n yet_o say_v profess_a and_o be_v confident_a that_o they_o have_v fellowship_n partnership_n with_o god_n and_o with_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n in_o his_o love_n saving-mercy_n and_o promise_n of_o grace_n as_o if_o as_o these_o be_v god_n to_o give_v so_o they_o be_v all_o they_o to_o enjoy_v but_o as_o he_o will_v take_v they_o off_o their_o vain_a confidence_n in_o this_o so_o he_o direct_v they_o how_o to_o be_v better_o build_v in_o the_o next_o verse_n 7._o saying_n but_o if_o we_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n as_o he_o be_v in_o the_o light_n we_o have_v fellowship_n one_o with_o another_o and_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n his_o son_n cleanse_v we_o from_o all_o sin_n mean_v i_o suppose_v that_o if_o that_o persuasion_n which_o they_o have_v of_o fellowship_n with_o god_n interest_n in_o his_o grace_n love_n and_o mercy_n and_o share_v in_o christ_n blood_n be_v but_o accompany_v with_o a_o upright_a endeavour_n of_o purify_n themselves_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a and_o of_o be_v holy_a in_o all_o manner_n of_o conversation_n as_o he_o that_o have_v call_v they_o be_v holy_a which_o i_o think_v be_v the_o same_o thing_n as_o to_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n as_o he_o be_v in_o the_o light_n than_o they_o may_v be_v confident_a indeed_o that_o they_o have_v fellowship_n with_o god_n in_o his_o grace_n and_o love_n and_o share_v in_o christ_n blood_n to_o cleanse_v they_o from_o all_o sin_n but_o otherwise_o and_o without_o this_o what_o ever_o their_o opinion_n pretence_n or_o confidence_n be_v of_o their_o good_a condition_n they_o do_v but_o lie_v and_o falsify_v the_o truth_n of_o which_o delusion_n and_o dangerous_a deceit_n he_o admonish_v the_o christian_n chap._n 3.7_o 8._o saying_n little_a child_n let_v no_o man_n deceive_v you_o he_o that_o do_v righteousness_n be_v righteous_a as_o he_o be_v righteous_a he_o that_o commit_v sin_n be_v of_o the_o devil_n by_o which_o say_v he_o suggest_v that_o there_o be_v some_o among_o they_o of_o another_o opinion_n and_o persuasion_n and_o that_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n of_o be_v command_v upon_o command_n back_v with_o great_a and_o precious_a promise_n on_o purpose_n to_o draw_v man_n not_o out_o of_o their_o own_o country_n but_o out_o of_o their_o ill_a company_n out_o of_o their_o intemperance_n and_o excess_n out_o of_o their_o uncleanness_n out_o of_o their_o covetous_a practice_n out_o of_o their_o pride_n and_o ridiculous_a fashion_n out_o not_o only_o of_o profane_a swear_v and_o filthy_a talk_v but_o out_o of_o light_n vain_a frothy_a frivolous_a discourse_n and_o communication_n out_o of_o their_o lukewarmness_n heartlessness_n and_o deadness_n in_o religion_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o be_v not_o draw_v out_o of_o these_o unprofitable_a sinful_a and_o vain_a way_n unto_o this_o day_n can_v any_o thing_n be_v plain_a than_o this_o that_o either_o they_o have_v no_o faith_n at_o all_o or_o that_o the_o faith_n they_o have_v be_v of_o a_o bastard_n kind_a and_o such_o as_o shall_v never_o inherit_v both_o they_o and_o their_o faith_n must_v be_v judge_v of_o by_o their_o work_n if_o they_o be_v abraham_n child_n they_o will_v do_v the_o work_n of_o abraham_n but_o see_v they_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n they_o thereby_o plain_o prove_v themselves_o to_o be_v his_o child_n and_o not_o abraham_n as_o christ_n who_o can_v not_o be_v mistake_v have_v tell_v they_o joh._n 8.39.44_o these_o as_o the_o unregenerate_a jew_n shall_v abraham_n faith_n enable_v he_o at_o god_n command_n to_o offer_v to_o he_o his_o only_a and_o belove_a son_n isaac_n and_o shall_v not_o thou_o enable_v thou_o to_o part_v with_o thy_o only_a belove_a lust_n do_v thou_o think_v thou_o have_v more_o to_o say_v why_o thou_o shall_v not_o part_v with_o thy_o sin_n than_o abraham_n have_v why_o he_o shall_v not_o part_v with_o his_o son_n if_o goodness_n of_o god_n way_n counsel_n and_o command_n and_o put_v more_o confidence_n in_o their_o own_o proceed_v from_o their_o mistrust_n of_o his_o power_n wisdom_n or_o goodwill_n towards_o they_o in_o relation_n to_o their_o happiness_n sect._n 1_o have_v show_v the_o nature_n of_o abraham_n faith_n in_o the_o property_n and_o effect_n of_o it_o and_o after_o what_o manner_n it_o dispose_v he_o in_o his_o deportment_n towards_o god_n and_o how_o the_o same_o be_v set_v forth_o as_o a_o pattern_n unto_o all_o man_n of_o that_o kind_n of_o faith_n by_o which_o justification_n be_v to_o be_v have_v let_v we_o now_o also_o take_v a_o further_a view_n of_o the_o same_o grace_n of_o faith_n as_o it_o have_v show_v itself_o act_n its_o part_n in_o other_o of_o the_o saint_n always_o carry_v in_o our_o eye_n along_o with_o we_o our_o own_o faith_n and_o compare_v it_o with_o they_o to_o see_v whether_o it_o affect_v and_o act_n we_o as_o they_o do_v they_o as_o undoubted_o it_o will_v if_o it_o be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n and_o kind_n with_o they_o for_o as_o all_o man_n in_o all_o nation_n and_o generation_n be_v of_o one_o blood_n act_n 17.26_o so_o all_o saint_n in_o all_o nation_n and_o generation_n be_v in_o the_o general_a of_o our_o faith_n ephes_n 4.5_o and_o as_o the_o one_o have_v the_o same_o motion_n and_o operation_n in_o reference_n to_o the_o life_n natural_a in_o all_o man_n so_o have_v the_o other_o the_o same_o influence_n and_o operation_n in_o reference_n to_o the_o life_n spiritual_a in_o all_o saint_n now_o than_o that_o
