and_o treasurer_n from_o henceforth_o shall_v be_v eligible_a by_o the_o common_a council_n of_o the_o say_a city_n yearly_a on_o the_o 25_o of_o june_n or_o at_o the_o next_o common_a council_n follow_v or_o within_o twenty_o eight_o day_n next_o after_o the_o say_v 25_o of_o june_n and_o that_o such_o two_o of_o the_o eight_o alderman_n be_v assistant_n and_o eight_o of_o the_o other_o thirty_o two_o assistant_n as_o the_o say_a common_a council_n shall_v think_v fit_a shall_v fall_v off_o or_o be_v amove_v yearly_o at_o the_o say_a day_n and_o time_n of_o election_n and_o that_o two_o other_o alderman_n and_o eight_o other_o commoner_n citizen_n of_o and_o inhabitant_n in_o the_o say_a city_n shall_v be_v yearly_o elect_v by_o the_o say_a common_a council_n on_o the_o day_n and_o time_n aforesaid_a to_o be_v assistant_n in_o the_o place_n of_o such_o as_o shall_v so_o fall_v off_o or_o be_v amove_v and_o it_o be_v further_a ordain_v that_o the_o say_a precedent_n deputy_n treasurer_n and_o assistant_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v for_o ever_o hereafter_o in_o name_n and_o fact_n be_v one_o body_n politic_a and_o corporate_a in_o law_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n and_o shall_v have_v a_o perpetual_a succession_n and_o shall_v be_v call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o precedent_n and_o governor_n for_o the_o poor_a of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n and_o liberty_n thereof_o and_o by_o that_o name_n shall_v and_o may_v without_o licence_n in_o mortmeine_n purchase_v or_o receive_v any_o land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n not_o exceed_v the_o yearly_a value_n of_o two_o thousand_o pound_n of_o the_o gift_n alienation_n or_o devise_n of_o any_o person_n or_o person_n who_o be_v hereby_o without_o further_a licence_n enable_v to_o give_v the_o same_o and_o any_o good_n chattel_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n whatsoever_o to_o the_o use_n intent_n and_o purpose_n hereafter_o limit_v and_o appoint_v and_o sue_v or_o plead_v and_o be_v sue_v or_o implead_v by_o the_o name_n aforesaid_a in_o all_o court_n and_o place_n of_o judicature_n within_o this_o realm_n and_o the_o say_a corporation_n or_o any_o nine_o of_o they_o whereof_o the_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a for_o the_o further_a relief_n and_o employ_v of_o the_o say_a poor_a within_o the_o say_a city_n and_o liberty_n thereof_o that_o the_o say_a corporation_n or_o any_o nine_o of_o they_o whereof_o the_o say_a precedent_n or_o any_o of_o the_o say_a alderman_n or_o the_o deputy_n to_o the_o precedent_n or_o the_o say_a treasurer_n to_o be_v one_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o erect_v one_o or_o more_o work-house_n for_o receive_v relieve_v and_o set_v the_o poor_a on_o work_n and_o one_o or_o more_o house_n of_o correction_n for_o punish_v of_o rogue_n vagabond_n and_o beggar_n as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a and_o be_v it_o further_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o great_a inequality_n in_o the_o order_n and_o relieve_v of_o the_o poor_a through_o the_o different_a ability_n of_o the_o several_a and_o respective_a ward_n in_o the_o city_n of_o london_n and_o liberty_n thereof_o the_o say_a corporation_n or_o any_o nine_o of_o they_o shall_v hereby_o be_v authorise_v with_o consent_n of_o the_o common_a council_n of_o the_o say_a city_n to_o divide_v the_o several_a ward_n with_o the_o poor_a and_o stock_n to_o they_o belong_v into_o four_o equal_a part_n or_o proportion_n for_o the_o more_o effectual_a and_o indifferent_a relief_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o the_o avoid_v future_a difference_n and_o dissension_n between_o the_o rich_a and_o the_o poor_a parish_n provide_v this_o division_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o liberty_n thereof_o shall_v not_o be_v any_o prejudice_n to_o the_o relief_n of_o those_o part_n of_o parish_n which_o lie_v without_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o city_n which_o parish_n lie_v part_n within_o the_o liberty_n and_o part_n without_o but_o that_o those_o part_n which_o lie_v without_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o city_n shall_v and_o may_v have_v such_o relief_n from_o parish_n within_o the_o city_n as_o former_o they_o have_v have_v
