of_o the_o great_a charge_n of_o apothecary_n bill_n which_o in_o long_a case_n amount_v to_o very_o great_a sum_n in_o a_o year_n although_o the_o physician_n have_v receive_v very_o few_o fee_n the_o physician_n may_v so_o order_v his_o business_n as_o to_o take_v his_o fee_n for_o his_o visit_n only_o and_o at_o home_o such_o competent_a fee_n for_o his_o advice_n alone_o as_o be_v usual_o give_v and_o in_o both_o case_n take_v nothing_o for_o his_o medicine_n and_o so_o save_v the_o patient_a the_o whole_a charge_n of_o the_o apothecary_n bill_n which_o very_o seldom_o come_v short_a and_o for_o the_o most_o part_n manifold_o exceed_v the_o physician_n fe_n and_o this_o he_o may_v very_o well_o do_v by_o make_v few_o less_o chargeable_a more_o effectual_a and_o durable_a medicine_n than_o the_o shop_n afford_v and_o suffer_v nothing_o in_o the_o non-use_a or_o decay_v of_o his_o medicine_n because_o he_o need_v make_v no_o more_o than_o will_v serve_v his_o own_o practice_n and_o i_o must_v here_o profess_v that_o which_o i_o intend_v not_o to_o have_v publish_v that_o this_o be_v the_o course_n i_o have_v general_o take_v for_o the_o four_o month_n last_o pass_v since_o i_o make_v my_o own_o medicine_n but_o that_o some_o apothecary_n have_v give_v out_o most_o false_o that_o i_o have_v send_v in_o bill_n to_o patient_n for_o money_n but_o to_o convince_v such_o of_o their_o wont_a lie_v i_o do_v hereby_o oblige_v myself_o to_o give_v 100_o pound_n to_o any_o of_o they_o that_o shall_v produce_v such_o a_o bill_n second_o this_o way_n will_v not_o clog_v the_o patient_n with_o more_o medicine_n than_o be_v needful_a nor_o will_v omit_v any_o thing_n may_v conduce_v to_o his_o recovery_n for_o if_o he_o fail_v in_o either_o it_o be_v to_o his_o prejudice_n either_o in_o spend_v more_o medicine_n which_o cost_v he_o money_n or_o in_o not_o perform_v his_o cure_n which_o lose_v his_o practice_n but_o i_o do_v not_o propose_v this_o course_n of_o i_o as_o a_o general_a rule_n to_o all_o physician_n but_o leave_v this_o to_o every_o man_n private_a judgement_n neither_o do_v i_o hereby_o bind_v myself_o to_o the_o same_o practice_n because_o some_o few_o case_n may_v fall_v out_o though_o to_o a_o equal_a advantage_n to_o the_o patient_n may_v persuade_v i_o to_o the_o contrary_n for_o i_o find_v some_o person_n of_o that_o persuasion_n as_o to_o think_v they_o have_v not_o give_v satisfaction_n unless_o they_o have_v pay_v for_o the_o medicine_n but_o to_o such_o person_n i_o have_v always_o allow_v they_o to_o give_v i_o what_o they_o please_v themselves_o for_o the_o cure_n only_o to_o the_o full_a satisfaction_n of_o both_o party_n though_o i_o will_v not_o deny_v but_o some_o person_n out_o of_o gratitude_n for_o their_o cure_n have_v reward_v i_o beyond_o this_o proposal_n some_o of_o my_o acquaintance_n have_v desire_v i_o to_o be_v more_o plain_a in_o this_o last_o paragraph_n especial_o in_o that_o part_n of_o it_o where_o i_o say_v i_o do_v not_o bind_v myself_o to_o the_o say_a practice_n and_o to_o declare_v more_o full_o the_o case_n that_o may_v persuade_v i_o to_o the_o contrary_a which_o be_v these_o and_o such_o as_o these_o first_o where_o patient_n of_o their_o own_o free_a offer_n will_v contract_v with_o the_o physician_n or_o have_v former_o too_o mean_o consult_v once_o and_o for_o his_o fee_n have_v give_v medicine_n gratis_o if_o the_o patient_n frequent_o send_v for_o his_o medicine_n without_o the_o least_o reward_n at_o all_o or_o if_o the_o patient_n live_v far_o in_o the_o country_n have_v as_o before_o once_o consult_v the_o physician_n as_o in_o the_o last_o case_n and_o shall_v for_o week_n nay_o month_n send_v for_o the_o same_o medicine_n or_o if_o the_o patient_n friend_n shall_v recommend_v a_o medicine_n to_o another_o friend_n of_o his_o unknown_a to_o the_o physician_n and_o where_o he_o give_v no_o counsel_n if_o a_o physician_n in_o the_o country_n shall_v desire_v some_o of_o his_o medicine_n which_o be_v all_o the_o case_n that_o occur_v at_o present_a i_o say_v in_o some_o of_o these_o the_o physician_n must_v needs_o be_v pay_v for_o his_o medicine_n but_o in_o other_o it_o be_v rational_a he_o shall_v be_v pay_v for_o his_o advice_n as_o he_o desire_v new_a medicine_n which_o charge_n will_v be_v far_o short_a
