trade_n or_o by_o tillage_n by_o husbandry_n or_o by_o merchandise_n by_o nature_n increase_n or_o art_n industry_n but_o by_o that_o whereby_o they_o do_v maintain_v themselves_o and_o live_v by_o that_o be_v except_o that_o people_n than_o have_v make_v a_o conscience_n to_o pay_v all_o manner_n of_o tithe_n &_o acknowledge_v personal_a tithe_n to_o be_v no_o less_o due_a than_o prediall_a 5._o for_o our_o own_o time_n it_o can_v not_o be_v deny_v that_o in_o london_n and_o some_o few_o other_o place_n that_o be_v tie_v thereunto_o by_o ancient_a composition_n and_o happy_a be_v our_o land_n and_o bless_a shall_v he_o be_v that_o effect_n it_o if_o the_o like_a be_v establish_v the_o whole_a land_n over_o they_o be_v still_o yearly_a pay_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n great_a good_a of_o the_o church_n &_o content_a both_o of_o pastor_n and_o people_n if_o in_o other_o place_n where_o such_o composition_n lie_v not_o they_o be_v not_o pay_v either_o by_o computation_n or_o other_o reasonable_a composition_n yet_o that_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v pay_v be_v a_o case_n most_o clear_a and_o the_o withhold_v of_o they_o can_v be_v none_o other_o but_o a_o most_o grievous_a and_o payment_n somewhat_o alterable_a that_o so_o as_o price_n of_o thing_n do_v rise_v or_o fall_v to_o any_o notable_a difference_n the_o rate_n and_o payment_n themselves_o may_v from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o upon_o every_o vacation_n of_o the_o benefice_n or_o altenation_n of_o the_o possessor_n or_o other_o like_a opportunity_n vary_v and_o alter_v and_o not_o the_o minister_n enforce_v to_o look_v with_o his_o continual_a hindrance_n when_o thing_n will_v come_v which_o happy_o and_o very_o likely_a will_v never_o be_v to_o those_o old_a rate_n and_o value_v again_o and_o be_v fain_o to_o live_v the_o mean_a while_n not_o as_o his_o parishioner_n according_a to_o the_o present_a time_n but_o as_o no_o body_n else_o do_v according_a to_o the_o former_a as_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o the_o minister_n alone_o and_o above_o any_o other_o now_o a_o day_n to_o live_v well_o enough_o by_o that_o which_o be_v think_v and_o find_v when_o mean_n to_o live_v by_o be_v more_o then_o â—ower_a time_n cheap_a than_o now_o they_o be_v to_o be_v but_o sufficient_a for_o he_o &_o even_o with_o the_o least_o or_o reason_n that_o any_o howsoever_o unreasonable_a &_o preposterous_a composition_n shall_v bind_v as_o well_o the_o succeed_a as_o the_o present_a incumbent_n &_o man_n have_v power_n to_o prejudice_n not_o only_a themselves_o because_o man_n may_v do_v with_o their_o own_o as_o they_o lust_n but_o also_o all_o that_o â—ome_v after_o they_o even_o in_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o their_o own_o far_o than_o for_o the_o use_n and_o present_a time_n i_o come_v now_o to_o the_o four_o and_o last_o sort_n of_o objection_n viz._n those_o which_o be_v more_o special_a than_o any_o of_o the_o former_a that_o be_v such_o as_o concern_v personal_a tithe_n touch_v which_o very_o much_o be_v to_o be_v speak_v and_o answer_v as_o which_o of_o all_o other_o be_v most_o in_o question_n it_o seem_v unto_o many_o a_o thing_n most_o unreasonable_a and_o hard_a that_o personal_a tithe_n such_o i_o mean_v as_o of_o artificer_n tradesman_n merchant_n etc._n etc._n be_v to_o be_v pay_v shall_v be_v demand_v and_o therefore_o as_o if_o the_o statute_n and_o law_n to_o that_o purpose_n make_v and_o yet_o in_o force_n be_v a_o thing_n against_o all_o reason_n and_o conscience_n they_o will_v not_o abide_v to_o hear_v thereof_o what_o man_n to_o pay_v tithe_n of_o their_o labour_n and_o of_o their_o private_a gain_n tradesman_n and_o artificer_n to_o be_v accountable_a for_o tithe_n but_o for_o answer_v 1._o that_o such_o kind_n of_o person_n ought_v to_o contribute_v towards_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o minister_n as_o well_o as_o other_o be_v already_o so_o plain_o and_o firm_o prove_v that_o any_o man_n not_o void_a of_o sense_n and_o reason_n can_v but_o be_v satisfy_v with_o it_o 2_o this_o kind_n of_o contribution_n whether_o any_o lust_n to_o call_v it_o a_o tithe_n or_o a_o tribute_n or_o a_o rate_n or_o a_o pay_n or_o what_o else_o any_o will_n it_o be_v not_o much_o material_a it_o be_v the_o thing_n itself_o and_o not_o the_o name_n that_o be_v in_o question_n if_o the_o name_n seem_v odious_a unto_o any_o let_v it_o be_v change_v if_o it_o may_v though_o i_o think_v there_o be_v more_o reason_n to_o retain_v also_o the_o name_n as_o all_o our_o predecessor_n and_o law_n have_v do_v then_o to_o alter_v it_o 3_o concern_v the_o quantity_n how_o much_o they_o shall_v pay_v this_o be_v grant_v that_o such_o person_n be_v not_o require_v to_o pay_v as_o the_o husband_n man_n do_v a_o entire_a ten_o but_o a_o thing_n in_o worldly_a matter_n the_o tradesman_n etc._n etc._n oftentimes_o exceed_v the_o countryman_n very_o much_o and_o will_v be_v take_v for_o the_o rich_a &_o more_o able_a person_n only_o
