what_o manner_n to_o ask_v any_o thing_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n inward_o stir_v up_o our_o heart_n make_v we_o with_o unspeakable_a groan_n to_o ask_v what_o be_v most_o fit_v for_o our_o soul_n health_n yet_o notwithstanding_o i_o do_v not_o deny_v but_o that_o some_o devout_a person_n may_v begin_v his_o prayer_n with_o what_o word_n he_o please_v from_o his_o lip_n but_o so_o soon_o as_o ever_o he_o shall_v find_v himself_o a_o little_a enkindle_v and_o as_o it_o be_v set_v on_o fire_n with_o that_o sweet_a flame_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n than_o it_o will_v be_v fit_a for_o he_o to_o leave_v of_o vocal_a prayer_n and_o follow_v the_o lead_n of_o the_o divine_a spirit_n and_o in_o silence_n to_o permit_v himself_o to_o be_v whole_o govern_v by_o it_o for_o as_o i_o say_v a_o little_a above_o the_o end_n which_o we_o shall_v prefix_v to_o ourselves_o in_o our_o prayer_n be_v chief_o the_o fervour_n of_o charity_n with_o which_o we_o begin_v to_o be_v possess_v and_o inflame_v then_o by_o devout_a prayer_n our_o mind_n be_v stir_v up_o and_o clevate_v unto_o god_n on_o high_a as_o soon_o therefore_o as_o we_o find_v ourselves_o to_o have_v attein_v to_o this_o end_n then_o must_v we_o strive_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o continue_v it_o in_o we_o which_o to_o do_v without_o all_o doubt_n we_o have_v no_o better_a way_n then_o to_o follow_v the_o lead_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o conduct_n far_o more_o advance_v our_o affair_n than_o any_o word_n we_o can_v invent_v or_o bring_v forth_o wherefore_o must_v we_o with_o all_o our_o might_n follow_v the_o instinct_n and_o motion_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n whether_o soever_o it_o shall_v lead_v we_o neither_o need_n we_o from_o thence_o forth_o utter_v any_o word_n of_o our_o own_o not_o unlike_a unto_o he_o who_o after_o great_a labour_n and_o long_a travail_n have_v pass_v the_o sea_n similitude_n a_o similitude_n and_o be_v arrive_v at_o his_o desire_a haven_n than_o he_o forsake_v the_o ship_n that_o bring_v he_o and_o appli_v himself_o whole_o to_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n for_o which_o he_o come_v and_o be_v no_o more_o solicitous_a for_o the_o poor_a vessel_n that_o bring_v he_o thither_o so_o also_o he_o that_o by_o the_o help_n and_o use_v of_o vocal_a prayer_n as_o by_o a_o ship_n have_v attein_v unto_o the_o inward_a consolation_n of_o his_o soul_n and_o to_o this_o fervour_n of_o charity_n in_o god_n must_v then_o make_v it_o his_o chief_a care_n and_o study_v that_o this_o fervour_n by_o no_o mean_n grow_v cold_a but_o then_o leave_v of_o his_o vocal_a prayer_n he_o must_v follow_v this_o holy_a spirit_n who_o have_v bring_v he_o to_o this_o fervour_n wither_v soever_o it_o shall_v lead_v he_o then_o he_o must_v not_o use_v his_o own_o word_n but_o whatsoever_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shall_v suggest_v unto_o his_o heart_n that_o let_v he_o desire_v not_o with_o word_n but_o with_o burn_a sigh_n of_o joy_n but_o that_o thou_o may_v more_o
