as_o those_o who_o justify_v yourselves_o in_o those_o very_a sin_n if_o not_o why_o do_v you_o repent_v of_o they_o you_o always_o abide_v under_o the_o guilt_n of_o that_o sin_n which_o you_o have_v not_o repent_v of_o the_o turn_n of_o the_o heart_n to_o god_n can_v never_o be_v without_o repentance_n till_o than_o you_o still_o retain_v the_o good_a opinion_n you_o have_v of_o your_o sin_n your_o heart_n be_v set_v upon_o they_o still_o nothing_o but_o repentance_n turn_v the_o heart_n another_o way_n there_o can_v be_v no_o real_a reformation_n of_o life_n without_o a_o change_n of_o heart_n man_n may_v for_o a_o spurt_n force_v themselves_o to_o a_o outward_a course_n of_o holiness_n but_o they_o can_v never_o hold_v it_o the_o heart_n will_v go_v its_o own_o way_n and_o carry_v the_o man_n after_o it_o nothing_o but_o repentance_n make_v a_o man_n a_o better_a man_n than_o he_o be_v before_o a_o man_n be_v the_o same_o that_o ever_o he_o be_v till_o he_o repent_v than_o indeed_o he_o be_v another_o man_n of_o another_o mind_n 4._o because_o they_o reckon_v all_o their_o particular_a sin_n among_o their_o infirmity_n and_o therefore_o a_o slight_a repentance_n will_v serve_v the_o turn_n they_o think_v they_o will_v be_v pardon_v of_o course_n to_o they_o without_o any_o more_o ado_n i_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o great_a error_n to_o hold_v that_o all_o sin_n not_o now_o inquire_v what_o be_v in_o their_o heart_n but_o what_o be_v in_o those_o grosser_n act_n of_o sin_n viz._n murder_n adultery_n and_o the_o like_a i_o say_v there_o be_v nothing_o but_o evil_a in_o they_o they_o be_v all_o over_o and_o throughout_o sinful_a now_o what_o be_v moral_o evil_a and_o sinful_a in_o its_o own_o nature_n can_v proper_o be_v call_v a_o sin_n of_o infirmity_n because_o a_o infirmity_n in_o the_o true_a notion_n of_o it_o be_v the_o deficiency_n of_o a_o good_a action_n it_o be_v not_o so_o good_a as_o it_o shall_v be_v absolute_o evil_a in_o itself_o it_o be_v not_o v_o g._n a_o child_n of_o god_n pray_v but_o not_o so_o fervent_o as_o he_o shall_v he_o hear_v the_o word_n but_o not_o so_o attentive_o as_o he_o shall_v he_o believe_v in_o christ_n but_o not_o so_o firm_o so_o strong_o so_o steadfast_o as_o he_o will_v this_o be_v his_o infirmity_n here_o the_o action_n itself_o or_o the_o thing_n do_v be_v for_o the_o substance_n and_o matter_n of_o it_o good_a in_o itself_o what_o god_n have_v command_v but_o when_o we_o do_v that_o which_o be_v material_o evil_a in_o its_o own_o nature_n and_o forbid_v by_o god_n this_o be_v more_o than_o a_o infirmity_n the_o whole_a action_n be_v naught_o it_o be_v not_o a_o weak_a action_n but_o a_o wicked_a one_o he_o that_o be_v a_o infirm_a man_n be_v a_o live_a man_n a_o dead_a man_n be_v more_o than_o infirm_a he_o have_v no_o life_n at_o all_o in_o he_o that_o be_v capable_a of_o infirmity_n if_o a_o child_n of_o god_n shall_v swear_v be_v drink_v or_o commit_v whoredom_n etc._n etc._n i_o will_v not_o say_v as_o some_o do_v oh_o the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o saint_n but_o i_o will_v say_v oh_o the_o wickedness_n the_o lewdness_n of_o the_o saint_n you_o will_v think_v these_o hard_a word_n hard_a thing_n must_v have_v hard_a word_n they_o that_o do_v well_o shall_v hear_v well_o and_o they_o that_o do_v ill_o must_v hear_v ill_a sin_n be_v not_o the_o less_o sinful_a because_o a_o godly_a man_n commit_v it_o it_o fall_v under_o great_a aggravation_n in_o he_o than_o in_o another_o there_o may_v be_v some_o good_a thing_n in_o his_o heart_n but_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o these_o sinful_a act_n but_o what_o be_v moral_o evil_a and_o abominable_o wicked_a this_o shall_v awaken_v we_o to_o repentance_n be_v there_o not_o sin_n even_o among_o we_o against_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n 6._o the_o application_n repentance_n be_v the_o plain_a and_o sure_a evidence_n of_o save_v faith_n let_v we_o be_v much_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o this_o grace_n we_o shall_v repent_v as_o often_o as_o there_o be_v new_a matter_n for_o repentance_n i_o do_v not_o say_v we_o shall_v always_o be_v grieve_v and_o mourn_v for_o the_o same_o sin_n repentance_n may_v have_v its_o perfect_a work_n in_o reference_n to_o some_o particular_a sin_n which_o god_n have_v sufficient_o humble_v we_o for_o there_o be_v a_o time_n to_o set_v break_a bone_n we_o may_v rejoice_v in_o the_o cure_n in_o that_o ease_n and_o rest_v that_o god_n give_v we_o when_o he_o speak_v peace_n to_o we_o by_o believe_v we_o enter_v into_o rest_n till_o some_o new_a sin_n disturb_v our_o rest_n and_o then_o repentance_n be_v to_o be_v renew_v by_o a_o new_a sin_n i_o do_v mean_v common_a unavoidable_a infirmity_n but_o some_o grosser_n
