hart_n and_o with_o all_o our_o soul_n not_o content_v with_o such_o a_o love_n only_o as_o be_v declare_v by_o the_o outward_a behaviour_n of_o the_o body_n and_o so_o for_o our_o neighbour_n he_o command_v every_o one_o to_o love_v his_o neighbour_n as_o himself_o now_o we_o know_v that_o man_n do_v love_v themselves_o with_o a_o deep_a and_o inward_a love_n not_o outward_o only_a in_o salutation_n and_o courtesy_n and_o good_a speech_n but_o every_o man_n love_v himself_o in_o truth_n with_o a_o good_a meaning_n and_o in_o good_a earnest_n not_o dissemble_o so_o must_v all_o the_o obedience_n perform_v to_o god_n proceed_v from_o within_o and_o come_v from_o the_o hart_n else_o it_o shall_v be_v no_o whit_n acceptable_a to_o he_o that_o that_o grow_v without_o if_o it_o come_v and_o therefore_o we_o see_v how_o he_o go_v about_o crafty_o to_o bring_v he_o in_o danger_n under_o a_o show_n of_o friendship_n and_o forsooth_o do_v bear_v such_o a_o good_a mind_n to_o david_n that_o worthy_a man_n and_o faithful_a captain_n that_o have_v venture_v his_o life_n for_o god_n cause_n and_o in_o the_o defence_n of_o his_o people_n as_o that_o he_o will_v free_o and_o willing_o admit_v he_o to_o so_o near_o a_o place_n as_o to_o be_v the_o king_n son_n in_o law_n and_o therefore_o if_o david_n be_v as_o willing_a to_o accept_v of_o his_o offer_n in_o kindness_n
will_v not_o in_o his_o heart_n judge_v this_o a_o uncharitable_a thing_n that_o because_o his_o neighbour_n shall_v see_v i_o know_v not_o what_o weak_a probability_n or_o rather_o surmise_n that_o have_v no_o probability_n in_o they_o of_o some_o fault_n therefore_o he_o shall_v present_o think_v and_o conclude_v that_o it_o be_v even_o so_o and_o bear_v such_o a_o opinion_n of_o he_o as_o of_o a_o trangressor_n in_o that_o kind_n what_o ever_o fault_n it_o be_v and_o so_o give_v his_o name_n such_o a_o wound_n in_o his_o conscience_n by_o this_o deem_v as_o can_v hardly_o be_v heal_v again_o no_o man_n will_v count_v this_o good_a deal_n to_o himself_o and_o therefore_o every_o man_n must_v look_v to_o himself_o that_o he_o do_v not_o build_v a_o suspicion_n against_o his_o neighbour_n upon_o weak_a and_o idle_a prop_n never_o think_v ill_o of_o one_o till_o he_o have_v deserve_v and_o give_v sufficient_a cause_n of_o it_o but_o now_o this_o must_v be_v know_v by_o the_o way_n that_o though_o love_n will_v not_o allow_v suspicion_n yet_o it_o do_v not_o thrust_v out_o discretion_n it_o judge_v not_o rash_o but_o it_o judge_v just_o it_o be_v not_o so_o sharp_a sight_v good_a hope_n and_o a_o good_a faith_n they_o hope_v to_o be_v save_v as_o well_o as_o the_o best_a if_o one_o will_v believe_v they_o and_o if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v they_o they_o take_v as_o a_o great_a injury_n do_v to_o they_o but_o what_o reason_n can_v they_o give_v of_o their_o hope_n what_o sound_a cause_n can_v they_o allege_v why_o they_o shall_v be_v save_v rather_o than_o judas_n &_o not_o go_v to_o hell_n as_o well_o as_o cain_n sure_o for_o a_o reason_n they_o can_v yield_v no_o reason_n of_o their_o faith_n they_o be_v not_o learned_a but_o they_o have_v a_o good_a reckon_n and_o foul_a matter_n among_o themselves_o and_o to_o rake_v up_o the_o coal_n of_o their_o malice_n under_o the_o ash_n so_o close_o as_o that_o one_o will_v hope_v there_o be_v no_o spark_n leave_v to_o kindle_v contention_n again_o but_o a_o day_n or_o two_o after_o they_o be_v as_o crafty_a as_o brawl_v as_o full_a of_o cozen_v &_o deceitfulness_n as_o ever_o before_o than_o one_o whether_o it_o be_v right_a or_o wrong_n job_n will_v not_o do_v so_o but_o those_o cause_n that_o he_o know_v he_o will_v inquire_v and_o search_v out_o the_o matter_n and_o not_o open_v his_o mouth_n to_o speak_v before_o he_o have_v prepare_v what_o and_o upon_o what_o good_a ground_n to_o speak_v in_o the_o defence_n of_o anyone_o this_o will_v not_o serve_v the_o turn_n when_o one_o account_n and_o estimation_n for_o it_o proceed_v from_o a_o disloyal_a &_o irreverend_a heart_n when_o one_o care_v not_o to_o speak_v ill_o of_o his_o governor_n but_o as_o reverence_v must_v breed_v a_o good_a and_o lowly_a gesture_n and_o good_a word_n to_o the_o master_n so_o it_o must_v also_o bring_v forth_o good_a speech_n of_o the_o master_n and_o a_o concealment_n so_o much_o as_o may_v be_v of_o his_o want_n and_o have_v these_o fruit_n it_o be_v prove_v to_o be_v true_a and_o upright_o and_o not_o counterfeit_a and_o not_o dissemble_v the_o second_o duty_n of_o servant_n be_v to_o obey_v the_o master_n and_o dame_n for_o as_o they_o be_v but_o one_o flesh_n so_o make_v but_o one_o government_n so_o the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v servant_n obey_v your_o master_n in_o all_o of_o the_o ladder_n that_o be_v no_o thanks_n for_o he_o be_v worthy_a of_o it_o and_o have_v deserve_v it_o and_o he_o shall_v have_v it_o whether_o he_o will_v or_o no_o and_o every_o man_n will_v put_v to_o his_o hand_n to_o help_v he_o to_o it_o but_o if_o one_o have_v do_v all_o good_a service_n with_o a_o good_a conscience_n and_o discharge_v hsi_fw-la duty_n faithful_o and_o yet_o not_o be_v bid_v to_o do_v many_o thing_n but_o will_v do_v what_o they_o listen_v and_o than_o if_o they_o be_v rebuke_v murmur_n if_o correct_v straight_o seek_v to_o revenge_n this_o be_v a_o beastly_a and_o rude_a thing_n not_o to_o submit_v himself_o to_o god_n yoke_n and_o those_o parent_n which_o have_v child_n abroad_o and_o hear_v such_o thing_n of_o they_o let_v they_o look_v to_o it_o be_v time_n for_o certain_o those_o that_o be_v stubborn_a abroad_o let_v they_o get_v a_o little_a more_o strength_n and_o they_o will_v rebel_v at_o home_n and_o he_o that_o will_v take_v the_o staff_n by_o the_o end_n when_o his_o master_n or_o dame_n come_v to_o correct_v he_o if_o the_o parent_n allow_v this_o they_o shall_v have_v their_o heart_n full_a of_o woe_n and_o grief_n if_o ever_o themselves_o come_v to_o give_v correction_n and_o this_o be_v their_o excuse_n common_o i_o deserve_v it_o not_o but_o if_o narture_n shall_v not_o be_v give_v till_o most_o servant_n confess_v they_o deserve_v it_o it_o shall_v never_o be_v give_v for_o as_o every_o one_o be_v more_o damnable_o vild_a more_o curse_o wicked_a and_o all_o together_o root_v in_o sin_n so_o he_o be_v more_o proud_a and_o froward_a and_o will_v least_o yield_v himself_o to_o be_v faulty_a but_o deserve_v it_o or_o not_o every_o one_o have_v deserve_v more_o at_o god_n hand_n by_o some_o other_o sin_n and_o that_o god_n shall_v set_v he_o in_o such_o a_o place_n and_o god_n do_v deserve_v that_o we_o shall_v suffer_v a_o little_a for_o his_o sake_n that_o set_v his_o son_n to_o suffer_v so_o much_o for_o our_o sake_n the_o three_o duty_n of_o servant_n be_v faithfulness_n as_o be_v command_v tit._n 2._o 10._o that_o they_o show_v all_o good_a faithfulness_n how_o be_v that_o not_o picker_n or_o stealer_n that_o be_v not_o faithfulness_n the_o servant_n than_o must_v be_v faithful_a in_o his_o master_n good_a and_o as_o thirsty_a and_o diligent_a in_o do_v the_o work_n of_o his_o master_n family_n as_o if_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o his_o own_o own_o family_n and_o for_o himself_o let_v he_o look_v that_o no_o ill_o get_v good_n cleave_v to_o his_o hand_n for_o this_o be_v a_o foul_a treachery_n when_o the_o master_n give_v he_o wage_n and_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o thing_n due_a and_o fit_a to_o become_v a_o thief_n and_o rob_v he_o this_o be_v against_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o of_o nation_n to_o deceive_v he_o and_o bcome_v a_o so_o to_o he_o that_o trust_v one_o and_o put_v confidence_n in_o he_o therefore_o this_o serve_v to_o reprove_v such_o as_o will_v be_v prig_v and_o filch_v and_o convert_n their_o master_n good_n to_o themselves_o if_o either_o they_o look_v for_o sound_v peace_n and_o comfort_n to_o their_o conscience_n they_o must_v make_v restitution_n of_o all_o such_o thing_n this_o be_v one_o thing_n then_o to_o restrain_v one_o let_v he_o remember_v that_o how_o much_o soever_o he_o steal_v so_o much_o he_o must_v restore_v and_o the_o five_o part_n thereto_o or_o if_o he_o keep_v it_o he_o keep_v god_n curse_n with_o it_o and_o a_o woe_n to_o his_o own_o conscience_n therefore_o they_o sin_v high_o that_o care_n not_o what_o it_o be_v to_o do_v any_o thing_n of_o good_a service_n to_o the_o family_n that_o the_o master_n shall_v be_v the_o better_a for_o it_o yet_o can_v do_v nothing_o these_o be_v unfaithful_a for_o a_o idle_a person_n be_v a_o companion_n with_o the_o waister_n and_o such_o be_v thief_n for_o they_o live_v out_o of_o a_o calling_n they_o obey_v no_o law_n nor_o have_v any_o warrant_n from_o god_n to_o use_v any_o of_o his_o creature_n a_o four_o duty_n in_o servant_n be_v to_o serve_v god_n in_o their_o call_n for_o admit_v one_o do_v all_o the_o former_a that_o he_o reverence_v his_o master_n in_o his_o heart_n and_o never_o give_v he_o a_o ill_a word_n or_o show_v a_o froward_a gesture_n never_o disobey_v he_o nor_o be_v unfaithful_a nor_o idle_a but_o so_o careful_a that_o he_o will_v not_o rob_v his_o master_n of_o the_o least_o matter_n in_o his_o great_a necessity_n yet_o all_o this_o will_v afford_v no_o comfort_n unless_o one_o have_v do_v it_o for_o conscience_n and_o have_v serve_v god_n in_o it_o this_o be_v the_o main_n duty_n and_o pillar_n of_o the_o rest_n that_o one_o
good_a direction_n in_o the_o master_n when_o he_o let_v his_o servant_n come_v into_o the_o church_n to_o proclaim_v their_o own_o shame_n and_o his_o disgrace_n therefore_o first_o he_o must_v deal_v with_o they_o plain_o you_o must_v serve_v god_n if_o you_o serve_v i_o and_o be_v religious_a in_o god_n house_n if_o you_o will_v have_v any_o countenance_n in_o my_o house_n second_o for_o the_o work_n and_o business_n of_o their_o call_n the_o master_n direction_n be_v necessary_a and_o he_o must_v appoint_v the_o work_n and_o set_v every_o one_o his_o place_n and_o duty_n which_o he_o the_o house_n may_v be_v enrich_v every_o thing_n may_v be_v do_v in_o good_a order_n and_o will_v fall_v out_o in_o their_o just_a and_o due_a compass_n when_o every_o one_o be_v diligent_a in_o his_o place_n and_o set_v to_o do_v that_o thing_n to_o which_o he_o be_v most_o sit_v for_o want_v of_o this_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o many_o foolish_a master_n when_o they_o see_v thing_n fall_v out_o amiss_o and_o there_o be_v not_o that_o good_a order_n that_o shall_v be_v be_v ready_a to_o chafe_v and_o fret_v and_o then_o they_o cry_v out_o what_o disorder_n and_o so_o they_o may_v well_o enough_o indeed_o for_o there_o be_v disorder_n and_o confusion_n but_o where_o begin_v it_o be_v it_o not_o from_o the_o disorder_a government_n and_o governor_n because_o he_o perform_v not_o his_o duty_n well_o the_o other_o can_v do_v no_o good_a like_a as_o if_o a_o foolish_a pilot_n at_o the_o stern_a shall_v never_o give_v any_o direction_n to_o those_o in_o other_o office_n about_o the_o ship_n when_o and_o what_o they_o shall_v do_v he_o may_v sweat_v and_o toil_v himself_o but_o the_o ship_n may_v be_v dash_v against_o every_o rock_n and_o sink_v well_o enough_o and_o all_o through_o his_o folly_n in_o want_n of_o good_a guide_n but_o if_o the_o master_n be_v diligent_a in_o his_o place_n to_o direct_v his_o servant_n and_o to_o appoint_v they_o what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v then_o if_o he_o see_v any_o fault_n and_o negligence_n he_o may_v and_o must_v let_v they_o hear_v of_o it_o and_o if_o admonition_n will_v not_o do_v nor_o a_o rebuke_n serve_v the_o turn_n discharge_v the_o task_n lay_v upon_o he_o according_a to_o his_o strength_n so_o there_o must_v be_v recompense_n make_v first_o in_o wage_n and_o that_o proportionable_a to_o the_o measure_n of_o their_o work_n which_o they_o do_v and_o pay_v also_o in_o the_o time_n appoint_v the_o master_n must_v not_o put_v of_o his_o servant_n from_o day_n to_o day_n to_o make_v he_o groan_n and_o sigh_v to_o god_n or_o else_o for_o need_v to_o theeve_v and_o steal_v from_o he_o it_o be_v a_o very_a dishonest_a thing_n in_o the_o master_n not_o to_o pay_v his_o servant_n due_a wage_n and_o that_o in_o than_o barbarous_a cruelty_n for_o one_o to_o ride_v his_o horse_n hard_o all_o day_n and_o at_o night_n rain_v he_o up_o without_o meat_n to_o repair_v and_o sustain_v his_o strength_n and_o he_o be_v worse_o than_o a_o beast_n that_o will_v deal_v so_o with_o a_o beast_n but_o much_o more_o to_o deal_v thus_o with_o a_o man_n that_o bear_v the_o image_n of_o god_n and_o be_v redeem_v with_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n jesus_n as_o well_o as_o the_o master_n to_o wear_v he_o out_o and_o spend_v his_o body_n and_o not_o allow_v he_o that_o nourishment_n that_o may_v keep_v his_o strength_n in_o repair_n be_v more_o than_o barbarous_a and_o sauge_v cruelty_n therefore_o while_o the_o servant_n be_v in_o health_n the_o master_n must_v see_v that_o he_o have_v all_o thing_n necessary_a for_o health_n and_o sustenance_n such_o for_o quality_n as_o it_o be_v wholesome_a &_o so_o much_o for_o quantity_n as_o it_o be_v sussicient_a that_o he_o be_v no_o way_n pinch_v or_o weaken_v then_o if_o the_o servant_n be_v sick_a he_o must_v provide_v to_o his_o power_n all_o good_a mean_n for_o his_o health_n and_o recovery_n and_o for_o the_o good_a look_v to_o hime_v in_o time_n of_o his_o weakness_n and_o this_o be_v note_v as_o a_o matter_n of_o commendation_n in_o the_o centurion_n that_o when_o his_o servant_n be_v sick_a he_o go_v to_o christ_n and_o take_v the_o best_a way_n he_o can_v device_n for_o his_o help_n and_o ease_n for_o the_o master_n in_o the_o sickness_n of_o his_o servant_n be_v to_o look_v to_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n that_o smite_v he_o and_o thereby_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o it_o be_v a_o chastisement_n lay_v upon_o he_o that_o god_n by_o his_o own_o hand_n immediate_o shall_v turn_v those_o into_o a_o burden_n and_o trouble_n to_o he_o that_o god_n as_o they_o be_v but_o it_o come_v oft_o so_o to_o pass_v that_o though_o the_o minister_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n faithful_a to_o his_o power_n and_o bear_v such_o a_o love_n unto_o his_o people_n as_o that_o he_o will_v part_v with_o his_o blood_n to_o do_v they_o good_a yet_o let_v but_o some_o vild_a person_n of_o a_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a life_n as_o indeed_o the_o devil_n be_v ready_a to_o say_v it_o be_v his_o indiscretion_n he_o be_v to_o hasty_a and_o unaduised_a he_o may_v have_v keep_v himself_o quiet_v and_o thus_o either_o because_o they_o be_v dastardly_a and_o dare_v not_o or_o malicious_a and_o will_v not_o almost_o none_o can_v be_v find_v that_o will_v stand_v in_o the_o maintenance_n of_o their_o faithful_a minister_n against_o the_o fury_n and_o be_v not_o most_o of_o this_o mind_n that_o if_o he_o be_v molest_v all_o be_v lose_v that_o fall_v beside_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o people_n the_o minister_n particular_a duty_n follow_v the_o first_o be_v to_o be_v a_o good_a example_n and_o pattern_n unto_o they_o in_o love_n in_o faith_n in_o patience_n and_o in_o every_o good_a duty_n as_o 1._o tim._n 4._o 12._o let_v rash_a wrath_n and_o unjust_a as_o math._n 5._o 22._o who_o ever_o say_v christ_n be_v angry_a with_o his_o brother_n unaduised_o be_v culpable_a of_o judgement_n guilty_a of_o vengeance_n and_o all_o thing_n come_v to_o pass_v by_o his_o purpose_n and_o direction_n and_o then_o we_o shall_v not_o so_o soon_o fret_v against_o man_n as_o david_n when_o shemei_n rail_v upon_o he_o and_o he_o much_o sorrow_n they_o care_v not_o how_o far_o they_o run_v and_o what_o charge_n and_o expense_n they_o be_v at_o but_o for_o work_v of_o mercy_n and_o duty_n of_o compassion_n that_o will_v further_o their_o reckon_n and_o comfort_v their_o soul_n and_o do_v good_a to_o the_o church_n and_o saint_n of_o god_n it_o come_v so_o slow_o &_o so_o heavy_o as_o though_o it_o be_v all_o lose_v that_o be_v that_o way_n bestow_v and_o the_o cause_n be_v because_o they_o have_v a_o heart_n merciless_a and_o void_a of_o compassion_n now_o the_o outward_a duty_n follow_v and_o these_o be_v three_o in_o number_n especial_o to_o be_v regard_v the_o first_o be_v a_o amiable_a and_o love_a behaviour_n of_o one_o self_n towards_o other_o for_o as_o a_o sour_a look_n &_o a_o austere_a contemptuous_a gesture_n break_v this_o commandment_n in_o that_o it_o alienates_v man_n heart_n from_o we_o and_o be_v a_o preparative_n to_o hatred_n so_o it_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o love_n and_o a_o part_n of_o keep_v this_o commandment_n that_o one_o shall_v by_o all_o good_a and_o gentle_a carriage_n of_o himself_o show_v his_o love_n and_o willingness_n to_o do_v good_a so_o near_o as_o he_o can_v to_o all_o and_o this_o be_v a_o thing_n note_v in_o abraham_n as_o a_o matter_n

lay_v hold_n on_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n jesus_n &_o to_o crave_v god_n mercy_n know_v that_o he_o can_v as_o easy_o forgive_v to_o the_o penitent_a person_n &_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n can_v as_o easy_o wash_v away_o adultery_n in_o the_o high_a degree_n as_o the_o least_o spot_n of_o wantonness_n so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o outward_a breach_n viz._n adultery_n the_o next_o follow_v and_o that_o be_v call_v fornication_n that_o be_v when_o single_a person_n commit_v the_o filthy_a act_n and_o this_o however_o it_o be_v not_o grievous_a as_o the_o former_a because_o it_o do_v not_o break_v the_o covenant_n of_o god_n and_o be_v not_o punishable_a with_o bodily_a death_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o fearful_a sin_n liable_a to_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n and_o damnation_n for_o so_o between_o marry_a people_n either_o in_o their_o entrance_n into_o marriage_n or_o else_o in_o their_o proceed_n and_o use_n of_o marriage_n the_o uncleanness_n in_o the_o entrance_n be_v either_o if_o one_o marry_v a_o other_o of_o a_o contrary_a religion_n as_o a_o professor_n and_o a_o christian_n to_o wed_v a_o atheist_n or_o a_o papist_n their_o whole_a life_n so_o lead_v till_o repentance_n and_o conversion_n be_v unclean_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n for_o their_o marriage_n be_v not_o lawful_a before_o god_n and_o therefore_o in_o ezra_n these_o that_o have_v so_o marry_v for_o trim_v his_o soul_n and_o bestow_v so_o much_o cost_v in_o rich_a apparel_n as_o he_o can_v spare_v nothing_o to_o bestow_v on_o poor_a servant_n second_o in_o strange_a apparel_n as_o in_o zephaniah_n the_o priest_n the_o king_n child_n be_v rebuke_v for_o
so_o far_o he_o be_v well_o content_a with_o that_o which_o he_o have_v and_o he_o that_o do_v not_o think_v his_o own_o enough_o for_o himself_o it_o be_v sure_a he_o be_v covetous_a after_o a_o other_o man_n i_o but_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o one_o can_v be_v content_v i_o have_v so_o many_o want_n &_o can_v see_v no_o mean_n to_o supply_v they_o how_o will_v you_o have_v one_o
