the_o complaint_n denote_v two_o thing_n 1._o 〈◊〉_d universality_n of_o the_o judgement_n they_o have_v no_o part_n sound_v no_o foundness_n 2._o the_o desperateness_n of_o their_o distemper_n they_o can_v find_v no_o cure_n no_o remedy_n no_o heal_n their_o state_n physician_n be_v of_o no_o value_n they_o have_v try_v but_o they_o can_v not_o help_v no_o heal_n he_o expostulate_v with_o god_n not_o inquire_v the_o cause_n jeremiah_n be_v not_o signorant_a of_o cause_n enough_o in_o this_o people_n to_o justify_v god_n in_o the_o severity_n of_o this_o dispensation_n but_o he_o speak_v like_o a_o trouble_a man_n who_o will_v glad_o have_v have_v it_o otherwise_o with_o his_o people_n if_o god_n have_v please_v 2._o he_o further_o represent_v the_o sadness_n of_o this_o people_n case_n in_o this_o that_o their_o expectation_n be_v frustrate_v we_o look_v 〈◊〉_d peace_n and_o there_o be_v no_o good_a and_o for_o the_o time_n of_o heal_a and_o behold_v trouble_v there_o be_v nothing_o difficult_a in_o the_o word_n they_o only_o signify_v the_o disappointment_n which_o god_n have_v give_v they_o in_o their_o great_a expectation_n the_o word_n may_v ●e_v understand_v either_o of_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n who_o may_v have_v presumptuous_a hope_n or_o of_o god_n own_o people_n who_o upon_o that_o great_a reformation_n which_o josiah_n have_v begin_v look_v for_o peace_n ●oth_o be_v deceive_v no_o peace_n no_o good_a come_v but_o more_o trouble_n more_o disturbance_n still_o i_o intend_v not_o to_o speak_v to_o every_o proposition_n may_v be_v draw_v from_o these_o word_n i_o shall_v only_o fix_v upon_o one_o and_o that_o found_v upon_o the_o word_n in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o the_o verse_n we_o look_v for_o peace_n and_o no_o good_a come_v for_o the_o time_n of_o heal_a and_o behold_v trouble_v prop._n it_o please_v god_n in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o his_o providence_n oft_o time_n to_o give_v people_n great_a disappointment_n in_o their_o expectation_n of_o peace_n and_o heal_a as_o to_o their_o outward_a concern_v you_o may_v if_o you_o will_v take_v it_o in_o these_o two_o branch_n 1._o people_z be_v very_o prone_a in_o evil_a time_n and_o disturb_a time_n to_o look_v for_o good_a to_o look_v for_o heal_v 2._o it_o please_v god_n oft_o time_n to_o give_v they_o great_a disappointment_n in_o their_o expeciation_n trouble_v instead_o of_o peace_n wound_n instead_o of_o heal_v i_o say_v 1._o it_o be_v natural_a to_o we_o in_o evil_a and_o disturb_a time_n to_o look_v for_o good_a and_o to_o loo●_n for_o a_o heal_n it_o be_v true_a this_o proposition_n be_v not_o universal_o verify_v in_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o the_o thing_n depend_v though_o not_o whole_o yet_o in_o a_o great_a measure_n upon_o the_o sutural_a disposition_n there_o be_v much_o truth_n in_o that_o maxim_n of_o physician_n and_o philosopher_n mores_n sequuntur_fw-la humores_fw-la where_o any_o person_n be_v more_o incline_v ●o_o melancholy_a and_o that_o humour_n more_o prevail_v person_n so_o incline_v be_v more_o dispose_v to_o fear_n and_o jealousy_n and_o suspicion_n where_o some_o other_o humour_n prevail_v in_o the_o body_n the_o person_n be_v more_o incline_v to_o hope_v and_o presume_v so_o as_o you_o shall_v general_o find_v man_n and_o woman_n thus_o divide_v some_o be_v more_o natural_o dispose_v to_o fear_v the_o worst_a to_o be_v suspicious_a and_o jealous_a of_o every_o thing_n other_o ●●e_v natural_o incline_v to_o hope_v the_o best_a and_o to_o promise_v all_o good_a to_o themselves_o and_o the_o most_o of_o people_n either_o from_o this_o natural_a cause_n or_o some_o moral_a ●ouses_n for_o they_o also_o have_v some_o inscience_n on_o we_o be_v very_o prone_a to_o look_v ●or_a good_a for_o peace_n and_o heal_a and_o this_o ●s_v not_o only_o ordinary_a to_o the_o more_o ignorant_a and_o sinful_a sort_n of_o man_n but_o even_o ●o_o god_n own_o people_n the_o wicked_a cry_n ●●ace_n peace_n when_o there_o be_v no_o peace_n to_o ●●e_z wicked_a say_v the_o lord_n the_o mother_n of_o sisera_n look_v out_o at_o the_o window_n when_o her_o son_n be_v dead_a with_o agnail_n strike_v through_o his_o temple_n and_o cry_n why_o be_v his_o chariot_n so_o long_o income_v have_v they_o not_o speed_v have_v they_o not_o divide_v the_o prey_n the_o false_a prophet_n daub_v with_o untempered_a mortar_n three_o hundred_o false_a prophet_n speak_v good_a to_o ahab_n and_o bid_v he_o go_v up_o to_o ramoth-gilead_n and_o prosper_v nor_o be_v the_o better_a and_o wise_a sort_n god_n own_o dear_a people_n exempt_v from_o this_o infirmity_n even_o david_n say_v in_o his_o prosperity_n i_o shall_v never_o be_v move_v nor_o be_v we_o only_o vain_a in_o prosperity_n to_o promise_v
