unbelief_n feel_v not_o the_o necessity_n of_o this_o strengthen_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o as_o they_o that_o know_v not_o their_o unbelief_n know_v nothing_o so_o they_o that_o believe_v and_o see_v their_o unbelief_n know_v this_o to_o be_v necessary_a they_o then_o that_o have_v a_o true_a trial_n of_o their_o unbelief_n know_v this_o faith_n to_o be_v a_o rare_a gift_n of_o god_n so_o that_o the_o prophet_n commend_v the_o word_n of_o god_n here_o of_o experience_n for_o he_o say_v thy_o word_n be_v prove_v most_o pure_a his_o meaning_n be_v this_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o i_o be_o so_o zealous_a even_o because_o i_o love_v thy_o word_n and_o therefore_o o'lord_n i_o love_v thy_o word_n because_o i_o find_v it_o by_o proof_n to_o be_v so_o pure_a that_o we_o then_o this_o than_o we_o see_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o true_a love_n to_o rejoice_v to_o see_v the_o person_n love_v advance_a or_o the_o thing_n which_o we_o love_v esteem_v and_o grieve_v to_o see_v either_o the_o person_n or_o thing_n so_o love_v to_o be_v cast_v down_o and_o contemn_v it_o be_v a_o grief_n even_o to_o the_o heathenish_a philosopher_n to_o see_v their_o doctrine_n not_o regard_v be_v they_o so_o move_v for_o the_o small_a regard_n of_o that_o earthly_a doctrine_n which_o have_v no_o exact_a truth_n in_o it_o but_o be_v mingle_v with_o infinite_a error_n and_o untruth_n and_o shall_v not_o we_o much_o more_o be_v move_v to_o see_v the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o have_v so_o exact_a a_o truth_n and_o no_o untruth_n contemn_v and_o little_o set_v by_o wherefore_o when_o we_o have_v not_o this_o godly_a grief_n in_o we_o it_o be_v a_o manifest_a argument_n that_o our_o love_n be_v very_o cold_a for_o as_o our_o love_n be_v the_o great_a so_o undoubted_o our_o grief_n will_v be_v the_o great_a and_o so_o as_o our_o love_n be_v the_o less_o so_o will_v our_o grief_n to_o see_v the_o thing_n deface_v be_v also_o the_o less_o when_o we_o have_v much_o delight_n in_o it_o be_v most_o dangerous_a dangerous_a for_o beside_o that_o we_o know_v how_o few_o taste_n of_o it_o and_o with_o what_o pain_n they_o that_o have_v get_v it_o keep_v it_o and_o with_o what_o hard_a brunt_n they_o that_o lose_v the_o grace_n of_o it_o recover_v they_o again_o we_o may_v conjecture_v the_o greatness_n of_o the_o loss_n by_o our_o experience_n in_o other_o thing_n they_o that_o have_v be_v in_o reputation_n for_o their_o riches_n &_o be_v become_v bankrupt_n be_v grieve_v simile_n and_o ashamed_a how_o much_o more_o than_o shall_v their_o grief_n be_v who_o by_o the_o riches_n of_o god_n grace_n have_v be_v comfortable_a to_o themselves_o and_o honourable_a among_o other_o and_o now_o by_o the_o decay_n of_o those_o gift_n have_v lose_v both_o the_o sweet_a joy_n and_o peace_n in_o themselves_o and_o their_o credit_n with_o god_n and_o in_o the_o conscience_n of_o the_o godly_a 6_o some_o rejoice_v so_o much_o in_o the_o hear_n of_o good_a thing_n preach_v that_o they_o forget_v to_o be_v humble_v for_o their_o want_n again_o other_o always_o look_v on_o their_o want_n walk_v not_o thankful_o for_o god_n grace_n receive_v the_o mean_a way_n be_v the_o best_a so_o to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n that_o we_o be_v humble_v for_o our_o want_n and_o so_o to_o mourn_v for_o our_o want_n that_o we_o praise_v god_n for_o his_o grace_n good_a work_n 1_o as_o it_o argue_v great_a height_n and_o willingness_n to_o sin_n when_o man_n fear_v to_o sin_n in_o the_o day_n redeem_v and_o steal_v time_n to_o sin_n in_o the_o night_n so_o it_o show_v a_o great_a height_n and_o willingness_n to_o godliness_n when_o man_n be_v not_o sufficient_o content_v to_o do_v good_a in_o the_o day_n stretch_v their_o welldoing_a even_o to_o the_o night_n also_o wherein_o they_o show_v themselves_o to_o be_v free_a from_o vainglory_n that_o none_o see_v they_o yet_o they_o do_v good_a for_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o not_o for_o outward_a thing_n 2_o a_o man_n may_v true_o judge_v himself_o to_o be_v true_o willing_a to_o do_v any_o good_a when_o he_o strive_v all_o that_o he_o can_v to_o do_v it_o although_o he_o can_v do_v it_o as_o oppress_v which_o they_o have_v when_o god_n spirit_n wrought_v in_o the_o sweet_a and_o full_a measure_n in_o they_o and_o because_o there_o be_v some_o intermission_n of_o the_o work_n of_o new_a birth_n note_n they_o think_v it_o be_v a_o flat_a omission_n in_o they_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o as_o it_o be_v a_o token_n of_o a_o mind_n too_o presumptuous_a and_o infatuate_v in_o time_n of_o dead_a security_n to_o persuade_v ourselves_o still_o of_o that_o safety_n for_o have_v those_o grace_n which_o sometime_o we_o have_v so_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o a_o mind_n abject_a and_o too_o much_o despair_v to_o think_v that_o because_o that_o we_o have_v not_o even_o present_a ceiling_n of_o those_o joy_n glorious_a and_o unspeakable_a which_o we_o have_v have_v therefore_o part_n or_o else_o we_o shall_v not_o outstand_v this_o temptation_n he_o mean_v that_o he_o do_v thorough_o meditate_v not_o that_o he_o do_v nothing_o else_o for_o want_v of_o this_o we_o see_v that_o many_o be_v well_o colour_v with_o the_o word_n yet_o do_v shrink_v when_o evil_a report_n arise_v vers._n 70._o their_o heart_n be_v sit_v as_o grease_v but_o my_o delight_n be_v in_o thy_o the_o word_n be_v so_o sweet_a that_o they_o shall_v forgo_v all_o thing_n for_o it_o till_o we_o come_v to_o this_o delight_n temptation_n
policy_n and_o his_o teacher_n in_o wisdom_n so_o now_o he_o show_v how_o he_o go_v before_o his_o elder_n in_o prudence_n and_o understanding_n he_o be_v wise_a than_o his_o enemy_n why_o because_o iniquity_n for_o as_o they_o be_v much_o give_v to_o this_o kind_n of_o occupy_v their_o mind_n so_o satan_n do_v most_o thereby_o convey_v himself_o into_o they_o put_v such_o platform_n and_o device_n into_o their_o head_n that_o otherwise_o be_v wonderful_a to_o come_v into_o a_o mortal_a man_n mind_n so_o then_o they_o that_o do_v not_o rest_v in_o hear_v and_o read_v but_o endeavour_n by_o meditation_n to_o find_v and_o draw_v out_o a_o use_n of_o it_o in_o themselves_o wonderful_o do_v profit_n and_o mighty_o excel_v other_o let_v we_o not_o rest_v in_o our_o oversight_n but_o stir_v up_o and_o provoke_v our_o affection_n to_o take_v a_o new_a view_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v hear_v whereby_o we_o may_v gather_v more_o unto_o ourselves_o than_o that_o which_o we_o have_v hear_v and_o why_o man_n be_v a_o creature_n reasonable_a and_o by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n can_v thus_o reason_v with_o himself_o if_o this_o be_v true_a than_o the_o contrary_n be_v up_o affection_n as_o thus_o be_v this_o good_a i_o will_v do_v it_o be_v this_o the_o obedience_n reward_v i_o will_v obey_v it_o be_v this_o forbid_v i_o will_v avoid_v it_o be_v this_o threaten_a with_o so_o fearful_a judgement_n i_o quake_v and_o tremble_v to_o think_v of_o it_o by_o the_o help_n of_o this_o many_o will_v speak_v on_o a_o sudden_a because_o they_o speak_v out_o of_o the_o experience_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n when_o the_o learning_n of_o other_o be_v in_o their_o teacher_n head_n or_o else_o in_o their_o book_n it_o be_v then_o the_o righteous_a judgement_n of_o god_n that_o we_o be_v so_o unapt_a to_o practice_v want_v dexterity_n of_o wit_n bereave_v of_o sound_a judgement_n beside_o many_o other_o punishment_n due_a to_o the_o contempt_n of_o god_n word_n wit_n who_o now_o be_v destitute_a and_o barren_a of_o all_o these_o heavenly_a grace_n what_o be_v the_o cause_n sure_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n and_o of_o a_o good_a conscience_n do_v make_v we_o fail_v profaneness_n in_o many_o good_a thing_n or_o else_o the_o cause_n may_v be_v some_o secret_a sin_n not_o repent_v of_o why_o there_o be_v such_o store_n of_o ill_a and_o such_o barrenness_n
