be_v a_o heavy_a judgement_n of_o god_n to_o be_v give_v over_o to_o a_o light_n vain_a spirit_n that_o consider_v nothing_o now_o when_o god_n make_v use_v of_o this_o particular_a degree_n of_o melancholy_a to_o make_v man_n and_o woman_n serious_a to_o consider_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o they_o another_o day_n what_o the_o term_n between_o god_n and_o they_o be_v what_o if_o i_o be_v now_o to_o die_v and_o what_o if_o i_o be_v now_o to_o stand_v before_o god_n then_o it_o be_v a_o good_a help_n to_o this_o work_n but_o yet_o because_o this_o work_n be_v a_o work_n beyond_o any_o so_o mighty_a and_o strong_a that_o it_o may_v alter_v the_o body_n and_o consume_v the_o very_a spirit_n in_o the_o body_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n and_o alter_v the_o temper_n of_o blood_n it_o may_v be_v so_o strong_a and_o powerful_a and_o so_o there_o may_v come_v melancholy_a in_o afterward_o but_o yet_o there_o be_v abundance_n of_o difference_n between_o melancholy_a and_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n and_o that_o will_v appear_v in_o these_o six_o particular_n chap._n lii_o six_o difference_n between_o melancholy_a and_o trouble_v of_o conscience_n diff._n 1._o melancholy_a may_v be_v in_o those_o that_o be_v most_o gross_o ignorant_a but_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n come_v with_o some_o enlighten_v work_n diff._n 2._o melancholy_n prevail_v on_o man_n by_o degree_n but_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n many_o time_n come_v sudden_o as_o lightning_n diff._n 3_o melancholy_a trouble_n be_v exceed_v confuse_v but_o trouble_v of_o conscience_n be_v more_o distinct_a diff._n 4._o the_o more_o melancholy_a any_o have_v the_o less_o able_a be_v they_o to_o bear_v outward_a affliction_n but_o the_o more_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n the_o more_o able_a to_o bear_v outward_a affliction_n diff._n 5._o melancholy_n put_v a_o dulness_n upon_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n but_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n for_o sin_n put_v a_o mighty_a activity_n upon_o man_n spirit_n diff._n 6._o trouble_v of_o conscience_n can_v be_v cure_v the_o way_n melancholy_a may_v first_o melancholy_a it_o be_v many_o time_n in_o man_n and_o woman_n where_o there_o be_v most_o gross_a ignorance_n of_o god_n and_o of_o sin_n and_o of_o the_o thing_n of_o their_o eternal_a estate_n it_o may_v consist_v with_o gross_a ignorance_n many_o melancholy_a people_n be_v most_o ignorant_a and_o sottish_a and_o know_v nothing_o of_o the_o principle_n of_o religion_n but_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n can_v never_o come_v without_o some_o new_a light_n of_o god_n dart_v in_o and_o settle_v upon_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n it_o come_v always_o with_o some_o enlighten_v work_n of_o the_o spirit_n melancholy_n be_v many_o time_n with_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o darkness_n within_o the_o mind_n be_v dark_a where_o melancholy_a prevail_v and_o many_o time_n gross_a ignorance_n but_o never_o any_o true_a trouble_n of_o conscience_n but_o god_n come_v in_o with_o some_o light_n and_o therefore_o if_o any_o man_n or_o woman_n be_v trouble_v and_o say_v it_o be_v for_o sin_n i_o put_v this_o to_o you_o what_o have_v god_n discover_v to_o you_o now_o more_o than_o before_o what_o truth_n of_o god_n have_v god_n settle_v upon_o their_o heart_n more_o than_o before_o if_o they_o can_v give_v no_o further_o account_v of_o no_o other_o light_n let_v into_o they_o than_o before_o it_o be_v with_o convincement_n of_o some_o new_a light_n or_o settle_v some_o truth_n more_o upon_o the_o soul_n than_o before_o second_o melancholliness_n come_v by_o degree_n upon_o man_n and_o woman_n alteration_n of_o the_o body_n be_v not_o sudden_a thing_n the_o temper_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n body_n can_v sudden_o be_v alter_v to_o any_o extremity_n but_o gradual_o from_o one_o degree_n to_o another_o but_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n come_v many_o time_n as_o a_o flash_n of_o lightning_n from_o heaven_n many_o man_n and_o woman_n have_v come_v to_o the_o congregation_n with_o scornful_a spirit_n profane_a wicked_a and_o ungodly_a never_o know_v what_o sin_n mean_v nor_o trouble_v for_o sin_n mean_v and_o god_n have_v meet_v with_o they_o in_o the_o word_n and_o fasten_v some_o sentence_n upon_o their_o heart_n so_o that_o they_o fall_v down_o under_o the_o power_n of_o it_o that_o come_v just_a as_o a_o arrow_n strike_v into_o their_o liver_n and_o they_o can_v never_o get_v out_o of_o it_o &_o have_v go_v away_o with_o horror_n of_o soul_n and_o therefore_o this_o have_v not_o be_v melancholliness_n certain_o the_o humour_n of_o the_o body_n never_o so_o sudden_o alter_v the_o spirit_n of_o man_n but_o when_o god_n come_v to_o work_v when_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o bondage_n come_v to_o work_v it_o need_v no_o matter_n before_o no_o preparative_n matter_n for_o the_o work_n of_o the_o word_n be_v such_o as_o it_o work_v immediate_o without_o any_o preparation_n therefore_o many_o man_n that_o understand_v as_o little_a of_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n as_o ever_o any_o do_v in_o their_o life_n and_o yet_o god_n let_v some_o truth_n reach_v they_o
