his_o judgement_n for_o god_n must_v not_o present_o be_v say_v unrighteous_a if_o he_o deal_v somewhat_o severe_o with_o one_o or_o two_o but_o then_o when_o he_o usual_o do_v it_o or_o do_v it_o with_o whole_a church_n wherefore_o the_o author_n bring_v not_o here_o any_o demonstrative_a or_o convictive_a reason_n or_o such_o as_o that_o god_n may_v not_o lawful_o do_v otherwise_o without_o the_o aspersion_n of_o unrighteousness_n or_o iniquity_n proper_o so_o term_v but_o only_o a_o reason_n very_o probable_a draw_v for_o the_o most_o part_n from_o the_o clemency_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n which_o be_v voluntary_a in_o he_o to_o forget_v your_o work_n and_o labour_n of_o love_n to_o speak_v proper_o forgetfulness_n be_v not_o incident_a unto_o god_n but_o figurative_o he_o be_v then_o say_v to_o forget_v when_o he_o have_v no_o regard_n of_o a_o thing_n or_o do_v that_o which_o man_n forgetful_a do_v their_o work_n as_o it_o seem_v be_v the_o conflict_n they_o have_v in_o suffer_a affliction_n from_o their_o first_o entrance_n into_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o author_n speak_v of_o they_o afterward_o chap._n 10_o 32._o unto_o which_o work_n or_o conflict_n he_o subjoin_v the_o labour_n of_o love_n for_o in_o the_o place_n last_o cite_v after_o that_o conflict_n which_o they_o endure_v the_o author_n mention_n their_o office_n of_o charity_n which_o they_o exercise_v towards_o the_o saint_n and_o it_o be_v not_o likely_a that_o in_o this_o place_n where_o especial_o their_o good_a work_n be_v to_o be_v mention_v the_o author_n will_v pass_v over_o their_o noble_a act_n which_o consist_v in_o suffer_v for_o christ_n cause_n for_o paul_n have_v join_v these_o two_o together_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n and_o labour_n of_o love_n 1_o th._n 1_o 3._o where_o by_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n he_o seem_v to_o understand_v their_o many_o suffering_n for_o the_o truth_n sake_n for_o such_o a_o work_n grow_v immediate_o from_o faith_n as_o labour_n and_o bounty_n towards_o the_o saint_n spring_v only_o from_o love_n and_o be_v therefore_o call_v the_o labour_n of_o love_n and_o that_o patience_n which_o proceed_v from_o hope_n be_v call_v the_o patience_n of_o hope_n because_o it_o argue_v constancy_n in_o suffer_a affliction_n under_o hope_n of_o reward_n and_o be_v there_o add_v to_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n and_o labour_n of_o love_n their_o labour_n of_o love_n be_v another_o act_n of_o they_o no_o less_o acceptable_a to_o god_n and_o no_o less_o remarkable_a in_o itself_o labour_n of_o love_n be_v that_o labour_n which_o proceed_v from_o love_n or_o that_o labour_n whereto_o love_n put_v we_o and_o love_n make_v any_o labour_n light_n and_o easy_a for_o nothing_o be_v more_o powerful_a nothing_o more_o to_o the_o saint_n mere_o therefore_o because_o they_o be_v saint_n and_o consecrate_v unto_o god_n for_o he_o that_o minister_v to_o the_o saint_n and_o show_n love_v to_o the_o saint_n therefore_o because_o they_o be_v saint_n and_o bear_v the_o name_n of_o god_n he_o show_v love_n towards_o the_o name_n of_o god_n as_o he_o that_o minister_v to_o a_o disciple_n of_o christ_n because_o he_o
