we_o forgive_v and_o in_o another_o place_n it_o run_v thus_o forgive_v for_o we_o forgive_v therefore_o thou_o can_v have_v no_o evidence_n that_o god_n have_v forgive_v thy_o iniquity_n and_o pardon_v thy_o trespass_n except_o other_o be_v in_o thy_o thought_n forgive_v too_o i_o may_v have_v give_v divers_a scripture_n but_o i_o mention_v it_o as_o a_o duty_n that_o you_o that_o have_v any_o knowledge_n of_o your_o sin_n pardon_v will_v make_v this_o as_o a_o ground_n to_o forgive_v your_o brethren_n say_v alas_o poor_a wretch_n have_v god_n forgive_v i_o be_v there_o ever_o such_o help_v it_o if_o any_o thing_n change_v it_o it_o be_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o pardon_v thy_o sin_n be_v there_o not_o so_o much_o in_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o pardon_v thy_o sin_n as_o to_o change_v that_o rugged_a nature_n of_o thou_o certain_o there_o be_v else_o thou_o have_v little_a hope_n that_o thy_o sin_n be_v pardon_v therefore_o if_o god_n have_v pardon_v thou_o thou_o must_v go_v and_o do_v so_o likewise_o i_o be_o persuade_v many_o of_o you_o hope_v it_o and_o long_v for_o this_o sermon_n sermon_n and_o i_o desire_v to_o be_v the_o large_a because_o i_o will_v upon_o it_o and_o it_o be_v as_o needful_a as_o the_o bread_n you_o eat_v but_o there_o be_v one_o thing_n more_o that_o be_v very_o meet_a to_o annex_v to_o all_o that_o have_v be_v say_v for_o without_o that_o i_o be_o afraid_a there_o be_v many_o to_o who_o the_o consolation_n of_o this_o text_n and_o point_n belong_v to_o will_v go_v away_o with_o little_a comfort_n because_o they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o apply_v they_o and_o that_o be_v to_o give_v some_o rule_n how_o to_o make_v use_n of_o these_o sign_n and_o be_v able_a to_o apply_v they_o and_o by_o the_o same_o rule_v you_o may_v come_v to_o know_v any_o other_o note_n of_o trial_n concern_v your_o spiritual_a estate_n and_o to_o make_v use_n of_o they_o in_o any_o other_o particular_a whatsoever_o chap._n xviii_o of_o the_o rule_n how_o to_o apply_v the_o evidence_n of_o pardon_n of_o sin_n it_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o great_a concernment_n to_o we_o to_o try_v whether_o our_o sin_n be_v forgive_v for_o in_o time_n of_o danger_n our_o heart_n be_v ready_a to_o sink_v but_o the_o evidence_n of_o this_o that_o our_o sin_n be_v forgive_v will_v hold_v up_o our_o heart_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o great_a danger_n whatsoever_o if_o heaven_n and_o earth_n shall_v meet_v together_o if_o i_o have_v assurance_n of_o this_o for_o so_o it_o follow_v after_o david_n have_v pronounce_v he_o bless_v who_o sin_n be_v forgive_v verse_n 6._o sure_o in_o the_o flood_n of_o great_a water_n they_o shall_v not_o come_v nigh_o unto_o he_o there_o may_v be_v flood_n of_o great_a water_n but_o he_o that_o have_v his_o sin_n forgive_v god_n shall_v preserve_v he_o and_o compass_v he_o about_o with_o song_n of_o deliverance_n but_o they_o that_o have_v their_o sin_n compass_v they_o about_o shall_v have_v horror_n and_o terror_n to_o compass_v they_o about_o but_o say_v david_n have_v assurance_n his_o sin_n be_v pardon_v thou_o be_v my_o hide_v place_n and_o thou_o shall_v compass_v i_o about_o therefore_o if_o your_o heart_n close_o with_o those_o evidence_n give_v you_o may_v have_v comfort_n in_o the_o great_a water-flood_n god_n will_v be_v a_o hide_v place_n unto_o you_o it_o concern_v very_o much_o to_o labour_v to_o put_v this_o out_o of_o doubt_n and_o not_o to_o put_v it_o off_o to_o a_o sickbed_n or_o deathbed_n time_n of_o examination_n but_o now_o to_o those_o evidence_n there_o be_v another_o thing_n which_o be_v of_o great_a concernment_n in_o this_o point_n and_o that_o be_v to_o give_v some_o rule_n how_o to_o make_v use_n of_o those_o or_o all_o other_o evidence_n that_o shall_v be_v give_v at_o any_o time_n for_o trial_n of_o any_o especial_o for_o the_o trial_n of_o our_o state_n in_o point_n of_o justification_n or_o sanctification_n but_o they_o will_v be_v helpful_a to_o the_o use_n of_o any_o other_o evidence_n whatsoever_o first_o be_v this_o that_o you_o may_v be_v able_a to_o apply_v those_o rule_n of_o trial_n and_o evidence_n give_v though_o you_o can_v find_v they_o all_o yet_o if_o you_o find_v but_o any_o one_o of_o they_o you_o may_v receive_v comfort_n from_o that_o though_o you_o feel_v not_o the_o rest_n you_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o the_o rest_n be_v there_o many_o a_o soul_n many_o time_n hear_v evidence_n of_o the_o happy_a condition_n in_o point_n of_o pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o it_o may_v be_v there_o be_v one_o two_o or_o three_o that_o they_o can_v catch_v hold_v on_o but_o there_o be_v some_o other_o they_o can_v take_v hold_n of_o they_o if_o thou_o find_v but_o one_o of_o they_o in_o thy_o heart_n though_o thou_o can_v not_o feel_v or_o see_v the_o other_o yet_o god_n do_v see_v the_o other_o to_o be_v there_o within_o though_o
