profaneness_n so_o other_o a_o three_o sort_n say_v i_o be_o angry_a now_o to_o answer_v to_o these_o distinct_o and_o first_o i_o have_v preach_v against_o the_o king_n and_o his_o come_n in_o i_o ask_v wherein_o how_o do_v that_o appear_v i_o will_v come_v as_o close_v and_o as_o speedy_o as_o i_o can_v to_o my_o charge_n i_o mean_v to_o that_o part_n of_o my_o sermon_n from_o whence_o they_o princely_a priest_n and_o bishop_n have_v be_v as_o snare_n upon_o mizpah_n and_o as_o note_n upon_o tabor_n their_o high_a place_n and_o great_a office_n and_o how_o have_v they_o not_o rage_v and_o tyrannize_v etc._n etc._n and_o do_v you_o not_o beseech_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o let_v the_o apprehension_n of_o our_o present_a great_a suffering_n cause_v we_o altogether_o to_o forget_v our_o former_a iniquity_n and_o do_v you_o not_o advise_v we_o that_o upon_o that_o day_n of_o our_o solemn_a humiliation_n wherein_o we_o seek_v to_o god_n for_o settlement_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o forget_v the_o cause_n and_o ground_n of_o our_o unsettlement_n here_o be_v enough_o to_o answer_v at_o once_o and_o together_o and_o i_o think_v this_o be_v my_o great_a charge_n and_o now_o what_o of_o all_o this_o let_v i_o ask_v you_o by_o your_o cavil_v against_o this_o do_v you_o discover_v your_o ignorance_n be_v it_o not_o plain_a you_o be_v not_o acquaint_v with_o the_o scripture_n or_o that_o you_o take_v no_o notice_n or_o understand_v not_o what_o you_o read_v or_o hear_v that_o you_o be_v mere_a stranger_n to_o the_o nature_n and_o manner_n of_o a_o true_a fast_a impartial_a confession_n and_o acknowledgement_n of_o all_o our_o sin_n and_o be_v a_o general_a day_n of_o humiliation_n through_o the_o whole_a land_n to_o confess_v and_o be_v humble_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o whole_a land_n in_o general_n and_o in_o such_o a_o day_n be_v not_o the_o sin_n both_o of_o prince_n and_o people_n both_o past_a and_o present_a to_o be_v remember_v and_o acknowledge_v and_o that_o not_o only_o in_o general_a term_n which_o be_v most_o slight_a and_o overly_o but_o punctual_o and_o particular_o of_o those_o sin_n they_o be_v guilty_a of_o and_o lay_v under_o this_o be_v if_o you_o know_v not_o as_o it_o seem_v you_o do_v not_o for_o your_o better_a information_n and_o as_o i_o desire_v reformation_n do_v but_o read_v the_o instance_n of_o the_o solemn_a fast_n record_v in_o scripture_n and_o you_o will_v be_v wise_a hereafter_o i_o reser_fw-ge you_o for_o this_o more_o particular_o to_o those_o three_o most_o solemn_a fast_n which_o be_v confess_v and_o bewail_v and_o have_v we_o of_o this_o land_n and_o nation_n no_o sin_n to_o be_v remember_v to_o be_v confess_v be_v you_o so_o forgetful_a or_o be_v you_o ignorant_a of_o they_o be_v we_o not_o unsettle_a be_v not_o our_o foundation_n of_o government_n overturn_v do_v not_o the_o pillar_n of_o the_o nation_n tremble_v be_v it_o not_o a_o judgement_n do_v i_o not_o say_v so_o much_o and_o what_o be_v there_o no_o sin_n that_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o do_v such_o great_a and_o heavy_a and_o general_a judgement_n befall_v a_o nation_n both_o king_n prince_n priest_n and_o people_n without_o sin_n procure_v they_o you_o dare_v not_o say_v so_o and_o be_v there_o no_o sin_n in_o england_n but_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o people_n what_o be_v the_o popish_a match_n and_o the_o build_n of_o house_n and_o chapel_n thereupon_o for_o idolatrous_a and_o superstitious_a worship_n what_o be_v the_o countenance_v and_o exercise_n of_o that_o false_a worship_n even_o in_o the_o king_n own_o dwell_n and_o be_v not_o our_o communion_n table_n turn_v into_o altar_n with_o superstitious_a cringing_n and_o bowing_n towards_o they_o and_o in_o some_o place_n wax_v taper_n set_v upon_o those_o altar_n and_o second_o service_n which_o the_o people_n can_v not_o 〈◊〉_d there_o perform_v how_o be_v the_o zealous_a profession_n of_o religion_n under_o the_o nickname_n of_o puritanisme_n discountenance_v and_o disgrace_v how_o do_v the_o court-bishop_n especial_o the_o bishop_n of_o canterbury_n dr._n laud_n vex_v perplex_v and_o ruin_v man_n in_o their_o high_a commission_n court_n and_o star-chamber_n how_o will_v drunken_a and_o profane_a minister_n if_o but_o zealous_a for_o ceremony_n give_v the_o check_n to_o and_o upon_o the_o least_o occasion_n trouble_n and_o sue_v the_o best_a knight_n and_o gentleman_n in_o the_o country_n even_o for_o trifle_n and_o be_v therein_o uphold_v and_o countenance_v by_o those_o court-bishop_n insomuch_o that_o when_o the_o knight_n and_o gentleman_n be_v assemble_v in_o parliament_n and_o have_v opportunity_n to_o be_v revenge_v upon_o they_o they_o dinge_v they_o quite_o down_o without_o mercy_n or_o
