more_o secure_a if_o he_o have_v be_v less_o secure_a but_o now_o that_o he_o stand_v whole_o upon_o his_o own_o leg_n how_o soon_o &_o how_o miserable_o fall_v he_o the_o child_n that_o care_v not_o to_o be_v lead_v but_o will_v go_v of_o himself_o get_v many_o a_o knock_n and_o many_o a_o shrewd_a fall_n but_o the_o child_n that_o be_v fearful_a and_o out_o of_o his_o fear_n will_v be_v in_o the_o mother_n or_o nurse_n hand_n and_o will_v cry_v to_o be_v lead_v that_o child_n escape_v many_o a_o break_a face_n 2._o mortify_v your_o dear_a lust_n a_o foster_v and_o a_o cherish_a lust_n do_v exceed_o endanger_v a_o man_n put_v he_o into_o great_a danger_n of_o fall_v into_o scandal_n let_v a_o lust_n be_v love_v and_o cherish_v and_o it_o will_v so_o befool_v and_o bewitch_v a_o man_n that_o he_o will_v maintain_v and_o sockle_n it_o though_o it_o be_v with_o the_o hazard_n of_o the_o credit_n of_o religion_n and_o the_o gospel_n it_o will_v grow_v so_o strong_a at_o the_o last_o that_o it_o will_v headlong_o he_o into_o some_o scandal_n or_o other_o therefore_o deal_v severe_o with_o these_o lust_n that_o will_v bring_v thou_o happy_o to_o do_v that_o which_o will_v cause_v god_n to_o deal_v severe_o with_o thou_o be_v sure_a to_o make_v sure_a work_n with_o they_o by_o mortification_n that_o be_v a_o good_a way_n to_o preserve_v thou_o from_o scandal_n this_o be_v the_o very_a course_n our_o saviour_n here_o prescribe_v have_v in_o this_o seven_o verse_n show_v the_o woe_n that_o fall_v upon_o the_o giver_n of_o scandal_n see_v what_o he_o infer_v verse_n 8._o 9_o wherefore_o if_o thy_o hand_n or_o thy_o foot_n offend_v thou_o cut_v they_o off_o and_o cast_v they_o from_o thou_o etc._n etc._n and_o if_o thy_o eye_n offend_v thou_o pluck_v it_o out_o and_o cast_v it_o from_o thou_o etc._n etc._n mark_v then_o what_o it_o be_v that_o make_v man_n offend_v namely_o man_n lust_n their_o right_a hand_n eye_n foot_n these_o be_v the_o scandal-breeder_n if_o a_o man_n will_v be_v free_a from_o give_v of_o offence_n he_o must_v out_o &_o off_o with_o that_o which_o cause_v he_o to_o offend_v now_o lust_n when_o they_o be_v make_v much_o of_o when_o they_o be_v make_v dear_a hand_n and_o eye_n and_o right_a eye_n assure_o they_o will_v cause_v man_n to_o offend_v therefore_o the_o way_n to_o save_v ourselves_o that_o they_o cause_v not_o we_o to_o offend_v be_v to_o offend_v they_o the_o way_n be_v by_o mortification_n to_o cut_v off_o and_o cast_v away_o such_o hand_n foot_n and_o eye_n as_o will_v cause_v we_o to_o offend_v be_v but_o this_o do_v how_o happy_o may_v many_o foul_a scandal_n be_v prevent_v if_o david_n have_v present_o pluck_v out_o his_o wanton_a eye_n and_o cast_v it_o away_o how_o easy_o have_v he_o be_v secure_v from_o that_o great_a offence_n he_o give_v it_o may_v be_v many_o a_o man_n out_o of_o the_o great_a pride_n of_o his_o heart_n and_o his_o abundant_a self-love_n make_v his_o credit_n and_o esteem_v among_o man_n to_o be_v his_o right_a hand_n his_o right_a eye_n his_o very_a idol_n now_o this_o be_v a_o lust_n that_o will_v cause_v a_o man_n to_o offend_v a_o man_n in_o this_o pride_n and_o self-love_n to_o maintain_v and_o uphold_v his_o good_a opinion_n and_o esteem_n run_v into_o this_o and_o that_o secret_a evil_a practice_n and_o rather_o than_o his_o esteem_n and_o credit_n shall_v sink_v in_o the_o world_n use_v a_o number_n of_o shift_n and_o dishonest_a course_n and_o a_o company_n of_o deceitful_a guile_n to_o uphold_v his_o esteem_n and_o run_v so_o far_o in_o at_o last_o that_o he_o come_v not_o off_o without_o foul_a scandal_n now_o mortification_n and_o self_n denial_n have_v prevent_v it_o if_o such_o a_o man_n have_v pluck_v out_o this_o eye_n cut_v off_o this_o hand_n &_o foot_n he_o have_v not_o halt_v nor_o stumble_v nor_o fall_v into_o scandal_n the_o not_o
