see_v or_o know_v and_o this_o vain_a imagination_n prove_v a_o fatal_a and_o mischievous_a snare_n to_o a_o great_a many_o for_o because_o they_o may_v live_v long_o as_o they_o think_v they_o will_v not_o trouble_v themselves_o betimes_o to_o prepare_v to_o die_v though_o it_o be_v as_o true_a that_o they_o may_v not_o live_v long_o they_o set_v the_o practice_n of_o religion_n and_o the_o concern_v of_o their_o soul_n aside_o for_o the_o present_a because_o they_o shall_v have_v as_o they_o suppose_v time_n enough_o to_o mind_v they_o hereafter_o they_o apply_v themselves_o whole_o now_o to_o the_o business_n and_o pleasure_n of_o this_o life_n and_o refer_v their_o reformation_n and_o religion_n to_o old_a age._n and_o thus_o while_o they_o think_v they_o have_v much_o time_n to_o spend_v they_o squander_v away_o and_o lose_v much_o from_o their_o main_n concern_v and_o with_o their_o time_n they_o lose_v eternity_n and_o their_o soul_n too_o their_o time_n be_v spend_v and_o their_o day_n of_o salvation_n be_v over_o before_o they_o have_v secure_v and_o wrought_v out_o their_o salvation_n and_o death_n snatch_v many_o of_o they_o away_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o worldly_a care_n and_o pleasure_n and_o so_o they_o be_v undo_v for_o ever_o to_o meet_v with_o and_o cure_v if_o it_o may_v be_v this_o error_n i_o shall_v insist_v a_o little_a upon_o these_o word_n of_o solomon_n wherein_o he_o intimate_v the_o unreasonableness_n and_o folly_n of_o delay_v to_o repent_v and_o be_v religious_a till_o old_a age_n though_o it_o be_v suppose_v that_o we_o may_v or_o though_o it_o can_v be_v certain_a that_o we_o shall_v live_v to_o old_a age._n we_o may_v reckon_v that_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o this_o verse_n be_v a_o reason_n and_o argument_n to_o enforce_v his_o advice_n in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o it_o and_o that_o his_o meaning_n be_v this_o remember_v now_o thy_o creator_n in_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o youth_n because_o the_o latter_a end_n of_o a_o long_a life_n will_v be_v evil_a day_n and_o such_o as_o you_o shall_v say_v i_o have_v no_o pleasure_n in_o they_o to_o be_v religious_a in_o youth_n will_v be_v the_o best_a preparation_n against_o the_o evil_a day_n to_o come_v and_o in_o those_o day_n you_o will_v need_v those_o consolation_n and_o advantage_n which_o a_o religious_a and_o virtuous_a course_n that_o have_v be_v before_o they_o will_v then_o afford_v many_o other_o argument_n be_v common_o insist_v upon_o by_o those_o that_o handle_v this_o text_n to_o persuade_v young_a person_n to_o mind_n wretched_a condition_n of_o our_o present_a life_n which_o we_o very_o foolish_o and_o unreasonable_o dote_v upon_o and_o admire_v this_o life_n on_o earth_n be_v never_o intend_v to_o be_v our_o this_o pitiful_a state_n be_v that_o the_o wretched_a son_n of_o man_n be_v most_o extreme_o fond_a of_o here_o they_o will_v always_o be_v this_o take_v up_o all_o their_o thought_n and_o care_n they_o know_v or_o at_o least_o mind_n no_o heaven_n but_o earth_n and_o think_v to_o heap_v up_o felicity_n as_o they_o gather_v worldly_a enjoyment_n we_o study_v how_o to_o live_v happy_o till_o we_o die_v and_o dote_v upon_o fade_a pleasure_n as_o if_o we_o be_v always_o to_o enjoy_v they_o we_o common_o live_v here_o as_o if_o after_o this_o life_n we_o be_v to_o be_v no_o long_o and_o there_o be_v no_o better_a thing_n attainable_a than_o what_o this_o life_n possess_v and_o while_o we_o mind_v this_o world_n we_o neglect_v the_o other_o we_o do_v not_o seek_v the_o better_a happiness_n of_o that_o and_o lose_v it_o for_o want_n of_o seek_v it_o yea_o we_o forfeit_v that_o happiness_n which_o be_v to_o come_v and_o deserve_v and_o incur_v everlasting_a misery_n by_o what_o our_o too_o great_a love_n of_o this_o life_n and_o its_o enjoyment_n do_v engage_v we_o in_o very_o much_o of_o the_o wickedness_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o misery_n of_o the_o next_o be_v due_a to_o this_o unhappy_a cause_n to_o render_v a_o temporal_a life_n happy_a as_o we_o suppose_v we_o spoil_v a_o eternal_a one_o or_o incur_v a_o eternal_a death_n we_o serve_v our_o body_n to_o the_o destruction_n of_o our_o soul_n the_o great_a folly_n of_o which_o our_o saviour_n suggest_v by_o that_o question_n mark_v 8._o 36._o what_o shall_v it_o profit_v a_o man_n if_o he_o shall_v gain_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o lose_v his_o soul_n or_o what_o shall_v a_o man_n give_v in_o exchange_n for_o his_o soul_n to_o meet_v with_o this_o unhappy_a and_o dangerous_a error_n man_n common_o live_v as_o if_o they_o know_v not_o these_o thing_n at_o lest_o it_o be_v certain_a they_o seldom_o or_o never_o consider_v they_o let_v we_o then_o not_o be_v unwilling_a to_o fix_v may_v just_o render_v we_o patient_a under_o all_o present_a adversity_n may_v we_o not_o with_o great_a reason_n bear_v that_o patient_o which_o we_o can_v endure_v long_o especial_o when_o the_o more_o patient_a we_o be_v under_o grievous_a thing_n the_o more_o easy_a and_o tolerable_a they_o be_v let_v we_o consider_v then_o when_o any_o affliction_n befall_v we_o i_o can_v undergo_v a_o long_a affliction_n in_o a_o short_a life_n if_o poverty_n be_v my_o lot_n i_o shall_v not_o long_o be_v expose_v to_o the_o inconvenience_n of_o that_o if_o i_o be_o condemn_v to_o a_o life_n of_o hard_a labour_n and_o toil_n i_o may_v comfort_v myself_o with_o this_o thought_n that_o i_o be_o haste_v to_o a_o place_n where_o the_o weary_a be_v at_o rest_n if_o i_o be_o vex_v and_o afflict_v by_o the_o lust_n and_o passion_n of_o unreasonable_a and_o wicked_a man_n i_o may_v consider_v their_o life_n be_v frail_a and_o transitory_a as_o well_o as_o i_o and_o i_o be_o go_v to_o be_v where_o the_o wicked_a cease_v from_o trouble_v in_o all_o adversity_n this_o may_v comfort_v we_o my_o affliction_n be_v fade_v and_o transitory_a as_o i_o be_o the_o evil_n as_o well_o as_o the_o good_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n can_v last_v no_o long_o than_o myself_o and_o that_o will_v not_o be_v long_o such_o as_o these_o be_v the_o thought_n disposition_n and_o resolution_n relate_v to_o this_o world_n that_o these_o condition_n of_o our_o present_a life_n shall_v excite_v in_o we_o the_o apostle_n paul_n urge_v such_o a_o use_n of_o these_o thing_n 1_o cor._n 7._o 29_o 30_o 31._o brethren_n the_o time_n be_v short_a it_o remain_v that_o they_o which_o have_v wife_n he_o as_o though_o they_o have_v none_o and_o they_o that_o weep_v as_o though_o they_o weep_v not_o and_o they_o that_o rejoice_v as_o though_o they_o rejoice_v not_o and_o they_o that_o use_v this_o world_n we_o not_o abuse_v it_o for_o the_o fashion_n of_o this_o world_n pass_v away_o i_o proceed_v now_o to_o we_o turn_v our_o thought_n towards_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o look_v into_o the_o reality_n and_o nature_n of_o a_o future_a state_n and_o earnest_o endeavour_v to_o secure_v to_o ourselves_o a_o happy_a condition_n there_o since_o there_o be_v most_o certain_o another_o world_n and_o a_o life_n to_o come_v be_v it_o not_o our_o wisdom_n to_o think_v of_o it_o and_o look_v before_o we_o especial_o when_o we_o be_v continual_o haste_v to_o it_o when_o i_o be_o go_v apace_o from_o this_o world_n shall_v i_o not_o think_v at_o all_o whither_o i_o be_o go_v be_v not_o this_o worth_a a_o thought_n let_v we_o consider_v what_o the_o scripture_n teach_v we_o of_o the_o future_a state_n that_o it_o assure_v our_o soul_n to_o be_v immortal_a though_o our_o body_n perish_v they_o shall_v never_o die_v and_o our_o perish_a body_n shall_v lie_v but_o a_o while_n in_o their_o dissolve_a state_n they_o shall_v certain_o rise_v again_o from_o the_o dust_n to_o live_v hereafter_o in_o immortal_a life_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v raise_v to_o receive_v the_o reward_n of_o our_o do_n here_o whether_o they_o have_v be_v good_a or_o evil_n that_o the_o eternal_a world_n to_o come_v be_v divide_v into_o two_o different_a state_n the_o one_o perfect_o happy_a for_o the_o reward_n of_o good_a man_n the_o other_o perfect_o miserable_a for_o the_o punishment_n of_o the_o bad_a since_o these_o thing_n will_v certain_o be_v let_v we_o certain_o expect_v they_o and_o frequent_o think_v of_o they_o let_v every_o one_o often_o tell_v himself_o this_o short_a life_n be_v haste_v to_o end_v in_o a_o endless_a life_n i_o be_o go_v where_o i_o shall_v be_v happy_a or_o miserable_a for_o ever_o from_o transitory_a to_o abide_v thing_n from_o temporal_a to_o eternal_a whatever_o put_v a_o end_n to_o this_o frail_a life_n which_o be_v so_o easy_o destroy_v send_v i_o into_o a_o unalterable_a state_n whatever_o sort_n it_o be_v of_o if_o a_o happy_a one_o it_o will_v ever_o be_v happy_a and_o perfect_o so_o if_o miserable_a it_o will_v always_o be_v a_o perfect_o miserable_a state_n and_o my_o condition_n there_o will_v be_v order_v according_a to_o
