enjoy_v or_o of_o not_o get_v something_o he_o desire_v etc._n etc._n in_o either_o regard_v there_o may_v be_v a_o carnal_a fear_n as_o i_o shall_v explain_v it_o to_o you_o more_o anon_o and_o this_o so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v carnal_a be_v ever_o to_o be_v condemn_v three_o fear_n there_o be_v a_o servile_a fear_n and_o this_o be_v such_o a_o fear_n as_o look_n at_o the_o punishment_n only_o and_o not_o at_o the_o sin_n when_o a_o man_n be_v afraid_a of_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n and_o never_o fear_v sin_n that_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o and_o so_o withal_o when_o this_o fear_n be_v only_o servile_a and_o be_v retain_v in_o the_o heart_n that_o man_n desire_v still_o to_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o love_n of_o sin_n a_o wish_v that_o god_n will_v give_v he_o leave_v to_o sin_n and_o let_v loose_v the_o reins_o to_o he_o that_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a there_o be_v no_o god_n no_o devil_n no_o heaven_n nor_o hell_n that_o he_o may_v sin_n be_v possible_a there_o be_v no_o god_n no_o devil_n no_o heaven_n nor_o hell_n that_o he_o may_v sin_v free_o and_o if_o he_o abstain_v from_o sin_n at_o any_o time_n the_o cause_n be_v that_o there_o be_v this_o punishment_n that_o be_v the_o consequent_a of_o sin_n and_o not_o out_o of_o love_n to_o god_n or_o obedience_n to_o his_o commandment_n now_o this_o servile_a fear_n though_o in_o itself_o it_o be_v not_o 2._o last_o fear_n there_o be_v a_o filial_a sonlike_a fear_n that_o arise_v out_o of_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o greatness_n and_o especial_o of_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n whereby_o a_o man_n so_o hate_v punishment_n as_o he_o hate_v sin_n also_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o now_o there_o be_v divers_a degree_n of_o filial_a fear_n one_o degree_n we_o call_v innitial_a fear_n in_o this_o world_n and_o a_o degree_n of_o perfection_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v in_o this_o world_n the_o fear_n we_o have_v have_v one_o eye_n upon_o the_o punishment_n and_o another_o eye_n upon_o the_o commandment_n or_o love_n of_o god_n and_o here_o many_o make_v a_o doubt_n whether_o they_o be_v to_o do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a have_v a_o eye_n to_o the_o recompense_n of_o reward_n or_o to_o abstain_v from_o evil_a out_o of_o the_o fear_n of_o punishment_n for_o answer_v brief_o and_o thing_n almighty_a god_n have_v make_v a_o motive_n to_o we_o to_o encourage_v we_o to_o do_v well_o or_o to_o deter_v we_o from_o evil_a we_o may_v make_v a_o motive_n to_o ourselves_o and_o as_o long_o as_o we_o do_v so_o we_o do_v well_o it_o be_v so_o with_o adam_n in_o paradise_n this_o be_v propound_v as_o a_o motive_n in_o the_o day_n thou_o eat_v thereof_o thou_o shall_v die_v then_o to_o abstain_v from_o the_o forbid_a fruit_n partly_o out_o of_o fear_n of_o punishment_n if_o adam_n save_a manner_n but_o to_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o god_n and_o to_o abstain_v from_o sin_n

use_v and_o the_o thing_n express_v by_o they_o that_o which_o the_o apostle_n will_v express_v be_v that_o there_o be_v a_o marvellous_a spiritual_a real_a change_n in_o all_o those_o that_o be_v sanctification_n and_o life_n the_o second_o part_n first_o we_o take_v they_o in_o general_a and_o let_v this_o be_v the_o point_n that_o a_o man_n that_o be_v indeed_o effectual_o change_v by_o virtue_n of_o his_o union_n with_o christ_n he_o have_v such_o a_o change_n wrought_v in_o he_o as_o in_o a_o dead_a and_o live_a man_n as_o in_o life_n or_o in_o death_n now_o change_n first_o take_v it_o in_o general_a you_o know_v life_n and_o death_n they_o imply_v first_o a_o general_a change_n when_o a_o man_n be_v alive_a or_o when_o a_o man_n be_v dead_a there_o be_v not_o a_o change_n in_o some_o part_n only_o but_o in_o the_o whole_a so_o it_o be_v here_o when_o a_o man_n be_v effectual_o change_v from_o what_o he_o be_v by_o virtue_n of_o his_o union_n with_o christ_n a_o member_n may_v be_v dead_a and_o yet_o nevertheless_o the_o man_n alive_a but_o if_o the_o man_n be_v dead_a there_o be_v a_o general_a change_n that_o go_v throughout_o it_o possess_v every_o part_n every_o member_n so_o that_o now_o there_o be_v no_o member_n of_o he_o but_o death_n rule_v in_o it_o than_o he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o when_o a_o man_n be_v dead_a spiritual_o there_o be_v not_o a_o change_n in_o some_o particular_a action_n only_o in_o some_o particular_a opinion_n only_o there_o be_v not_o a_o alteration_n of_o some_o of_o his_o old_a custom_n only_o but_o it_o be_v a_o general_a change_n so_o it_o go_v through_o the_o whole_a man_n it_o be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o understanding_n he_o judge_v thing_n otherwise_o then_o he_o be_v wont_a to_o do_v and_o there_o be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o will_n the_o inclination_n of_o it_o be_v to_o other_o object_n than_o he_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v incline_v to_o and_o thence_o there_o be_v a_o change_n within_o first_o it_o begin_v in_o the_o inward_a man_n in_o the_o heart_n first_o and_o as_o in_o natural_a death_n or_o natural_a life_n there_o be_v a_o die_a first_o of_o the_o root_n and_o a_o quicken_a first_o at_o the_o root_n so_o likewise_o in_o spiritual_a death_n or_o life_n it_o be_v a_o orderly_a proceed_n it_o begin_v first_o within_o our_o saviour_n christ_n give_v this_o direction_n first_o make_v the_o inside_n clean_o and_o then_o all_o will_v be_v clean_o against_o the_o hppocrisie_n of_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n that_o look_v more_o to_o outward_a action_n so_o this_o change_n it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o mere_a civilise_n of_o a_o man_n a_o conform_v of_o he_o to_o that_o society_n he_o converse_v with_o in_o outward_a action_n but_o renew_v of_o a_o
