the_o excess_n of_o the_o one_o do_v confound_v the_o other_o for_o which_o cause_n god_n have_v so_o dispose_v the_o course_n of_o the_o sun_n that_o he_o distribute_v his_o heat_n in_o so_o good_a and_o just_a measure_n that_o he_o hinder_v the_o too_o much_o coldness_n and_o moisture_n which_o may_v quench_v the_o natural_a heat_n and_o yet_o do_v not_o so_o consume_v they_o by_o the_o heat_n and_o dryness_n which_o he_o cause_v but_o that_o there_o always_o remain_v so_o much_o as_o be_v needful_a for_o the_o life_n of_o all_o creature_n and_o for_o the_o other_o reason_n that_o they_o will_v fail_v it_o be_v that_o neither_o man_n nor_o any_o other_o animal_n can_v live_v without_o nourishment_n to_o repair_v in_o they_o that_o which_o the_o natural_a heat_n like_o a_o fire_n incessant_o flame_v have_v consume_v of_o radical_a humour_n in_o their_o body_n &_o yet_o this_o heat_n must_v be_v likewise_o maintain_v that_o it_o be_v not_o extinguish_v as_o we_o have_v ample_o discourse_v concern_v these_o thing_n in_o the_o second_o part_n of_o our_o academy_n for_o this_o cause_n then_o god_n have_v ordain_v eat_v and_o drink_v for_o the_o nouriture_n of_o all_o live_a creature_n and_o have_v appoint_v to_o the_o earth_n as_o to_o the_o mother_n of_o all_o the_o charge_n and_o office_n to_o produce_v fruit_n and_o other_o nourishment_n needful_a for_o they_o which_o she_o can_v do_v be_v by_o nature_n cold_a and_o dry_a if_o as_o she_o be_v warm_v by_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n she_o be_v not_o also_o moisten_v by_o the_o water_n both_o of_o heaven_n &_o earth_n and_o therefore_o when_o that_o the_o sun_n have_v heat_v and_o dry_v it_o up_o all_o day_n long_o the_o night_n which_o be_v the_o shadow_n of_o the_o earth_n do_v afterward_o ensue_v and_o consider_v that_o as_o man_n and_o animal_n can_v suruive_v without_o nourishment_n which_o god_n have_v provide_v by_o the_o mean_v aforesaid_a so_o likewise_o can_v they_o not_o live_v without_o therefore_o according_a as_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o common_a proverb_n god_n keep_v the_o moon_n from_o wolf_n the_o faithful_a may_v very_o apt_o speak_v this_o of_o themselves_o concern_v their_o enemy_n because_o they_o be_v much_o sure_a in_o the_o alliance_n of_o the_o almighty_a and_o under_o his_o protection_n for_o as_o the_o sun_n shall_v never_o be_v without_o the_o moon_n
