sin_n have_v hide_v his_o face_n from_o you_o that_o he_o will_v not_o hear_v o_o its_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n that_o put_v a_o stop_n to_o our_o prayer_n and_o cause_v god_n to_o hide_v his_o face_n that_o he_o will_v not_o hear_v and_o this_o the_o church_n be_v sensible_a of_o and_o o_o that_o we_o be_v more_o sensible_a than_o we_o be_v mich._n 7._o 9_o i_o will_v bear_v the_o indignation_n of_o the_o lord_n because_o i_o have_v sin_v against_o he_o etc._n etc._n if_o soul_n once_o come_v to_o be_v sensible_a of_o sin_n that_o it_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o affliction_n and_o of_o god_n indignation_n against_o his_o own_o people_n and_o hinder_v the_o prevalency_n of_o their_o prayer_n they_o will_v certain_o search_v out_o the_o sin_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n and_o humble_v themselves_o and_o turn_v from_o their_o iniquity_n and_o patient_o to_o wait_v and_o bear_v till_o he_o turn_v to_o they_o in_o mercy_n quest._n what_o sin_n be_v they_o that_o ordinary_o quest_n cause_v god_n to_o pass_v over_o the_o prayer_n of_o his_o people_n and_o to_o refuse_v to_o hear_v but_o rather_o to_o afflict_v they_o answ_n 1._o all_o sin_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o hand_n answ_n have_v the_o same_o effect_n but_o i_o shall_v mention_v some_o more_o remarkable_a sin_n for_o which_o the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v be_v afflict_v and_o against_o which_o he_o have_v manifest_v his_o displeasure_n 1._o that_o sin_n of_o covetousness_n and_o worldly_a mindedness_n the_o common_a bait_n by_o which_o the_o devil_n deceive_v soul_n that_o steal_v away_o the_o heart_n of_o christian_n if_o grace_n prevent_v not_o to_o their_o spiritual_a and_o effectual_a ruin_n or_o at_o best_o to_o their_o great_a loss_n on_o the_o spiritual_a account_n and_o oft_o time_n on_o the_o outward_a account_n likewise_o stop_v and_o hinder_v their_o prayer_n and_o draw_v down_o judgement_n both_o upon_o themselves_o and_o other_o isa_n 57_o 17._o for_o the_o iniquity_n of_o his_o covetousness_n be_v i_o wrath_n and_o smite_v he_o i_o hide_v my_o face_n and_o be_v wrath_n and_o he_o go_v on_o froward_o in_o the_o way_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n etc._n etc._n o_o that_o we_o have_v not_o cause_n to_o say_v that_o this_o iniquity_n prevail_v at_o this_o day_n and_o though_o god_n smite_v and_o smite_v at_o this_o iniquity_n as_o be_v evident_a by_o the_o manner_n of_o his_o smite_v yet_o whether_o he_o have_v not_o cause_n to_o say_v he_o go_v on_o froward_o in_o the_o way_n of_o his_o own_o
