that_o have_v rebuke_v or_o admonish_v man_n of_o any_o fault_n in_o private_a and_o come_v to_o reprove_v such_o thing_n in_o public_a they_o think_v he_o point_v at_o they_o and_o gall_v they_o and_o so_o they_o stomach_n he_o and_o can_v away_o with_o he_o but_o its_o only_a thus_o with_o some_o few_o proud_a person_n or_o rich_a man_n who_o therefore_o must_v have_v the_o less_o say_v to_o they_o in_o private_a and_o that_o they_o shall_v get_v by_o their_o frowardness_n 1._o this_o rebuke_n those_o minister_n that_o be_v absent_a from_o their_o people_n usual_o or_o continual_o 1_o how_o can_v these_o take_v care_n of_o they_o that_o come_v not_o at_o they_o above_o once_o in_o a_o quarter_n except_o they_o can_v indent_v with_o the_o devil_n never_o to_o trouble_v their_o people_n or_o tempt_v they_o in_o their_o absence_n or_o tell_v they_o when_o he_o will_v be_v busy_a with_o they_o etc._n etc._n if_o they_o say_v they_o care_v for_o they_o by_o another_o so_o they_o shall_v go_v to_o heaven_n by_o another_o but_o be_v in_o danger_n to_o go_v to_o hell_n in_o their_o own_o person_n beside_o either_o he_o be_v fit_a to_o care_n for_o they_o and_o then_o why_o have_v he_o not_o the_o wage_n that_o do_v the_o work_n or_o he_o be_v not_o fit_a
need_n of_o it_o what_o be_v become_v of_o our_o forefather_n they_o be_v honest_a people_n and_o have_v no_o such_o stir_n about_o hear_v of_o sermon_n i_o answer_v they_o be_v in_o woeful_a danger_n lie_v in_o ignorance_n and_o unbelief_n which_o because_o they_o see_v not_o they_o think_v not_o thereof_o but_o some_o who_o eye_n god_n have_v open_v bless_v he_o who_o have_v bring_v they_o out_o of_o that_o state_n and_o wonder_v that_o ever_o they_o can_v be_v so_o careless_a in_o such_o deadly_a danger_n and_o plain_o see_v that_o if_o they_o have_v so_o die_v they_o have_v go_v to_o hell_n who_o yet_o then_o think_v their_o case_n as_o good_a as_o you_o wherein_o they_o will_v not_o now_o be_v for_o all_o the_o world_n as_o if_o one_o in_o a_o dark_a night_n or_o asleep_o on_o his_o horse_n shall_v come_v over_o a_o narrow_a bridge_n stand_v on_o a_o deep_a river_n or_o a_o steep_a dangerous_a place_n than_o he_o fear_v nothing_o for_o he_o see_v no_o danger_n but_o when_o he_o view_v it_o in_o the_o day_n his_o heart_n be_v ready_a to_o fail_v he_o and_o he_o will_v not_o so_o go_v again_o for_o the_o whole_a town_n and_o for_o our_o father_n we_o know_v not_o what_o their_o state_n be_v but_o know_v that_o god_n let_v in_o light_n to_o sundry_a of_o they_o by_o small_a mean_n as_o by_o read_v some_o small_a part_n of_o scripture_n some_o small_a book_n primmer_n and_o the_o like_a so_o by_o confer_v with_o other_o etc._n etc._n which_o how_o small_a soever_o god_n be_v please_v to_o bless_v but_o if_o they_o have_v no_o light_n and_o true_a knowledge_n of_o christ_n we_o know_v that_o they_o can_v not_o be_v save_v we_o can_v say_v this_o or_o that_o we_o may_v not_o belie_v the_o scripture_n for_o their_o sake_n but_o whatsoever_o become_v of_o they_o it_o behoove_v we_o now_o to_o who_o god_n offer_v great_a grace_n and_o such_o bless_a mean_n as_o preach_v that_o we_o take_v hold_v and_o embrace_v it_o that_o we_o may_v come_v out_o of_o ignorance_n to_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n jesus_n who_o be_v indeed_o the_o way_n to_o heaven_n the_o time_n of_o that_o ignorance_n god_n regard_v not_o but_o now_o he_o admonish_v every_o man_n every_o where_o to_o repent_v 2._o other_o say_v this_o preach_v bring_v stir_n where_o it_o go_v and_o unquietness_n the_o town_n and_o place_n that_o be_v very_o love_v before_o it_o come_v there_o after_o fall_v into_o division_n its_o wonder_n that_o the_o gospel_n of_o peace_n shall_v breed_v dissension_n and_o that_o that_o which_o make_v peace_n between_o god_n and_o man_n shall_v break_v peace_n between_o man_n and_o man_n indeed_o it_o be_v a_o occasion_n through_o man_n corruption_n no_o marvel_n though_o it_o breed_v stir_n consider_v what_o manner_n person_n we_o be_v to_o be_v wrought_v on_o to_o good_a how_o hard_o to_o convince_v our_o judgement_n and_o conscience_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n word_n and_o the_o truth_n therein_o contain_v how_o hard_o to_o work_v upon_o our_o crooked_a will_n and_o rebellious_a affection_n no_o marvel_n though_o man_n startle_v when_o they_o be_v put_v out_o of_o their_o bias_n but_o its_o good_a when_o the_o devil_n stir_v for_o then_o there_o be_v some_o hope_n and_o likelihood_n that_o he_o will_v be_v cast_v out_o and_o for_o division_n its_o true_a our_o saviour_n say_v he_o come_v not_o to_o bring_v peace_n namely_o in_o evil_n but_o a_o sword_n and_o debate_n 21._o but_o the_o fault_n be_v not_o in_o the_o gospel_n but_o in_o they_o that_o embrace_v it_o not_o for_o they_o that_o do_v not_o 13._o but_o be_v obstinate_a they_o fall_v out_o and_o contend_v with_o they_o that_o do_v because_o they_o by_o word_n and_o deed_n reprove_v their_o ill_a work_n whereas_o if_o all_o will_v obey_v 32._o it_o will_v make_v a_o bless_a peace_n as_o it_o do_v between_o good_a christian_n that_o be_v as_o lion_n and_o tiger_n but_o better_a this_o division_n yet_o then_o that_o all_o shall_v go_v hand_n in_o hand_n to_o hell_n as_o those_o do_v that_o consent_n easy_o in_o evil_a better_a two_o soul_n of_o five_o save_v though_o they_o have_v much_o unquietness_n withal_o than_o all_o five_o perish_v where_o the_o gospel_n be_v embrace_v it_o breed_v not_o such_o a_o carnal_a love_n as_o be_v in_o popery_n to_o consent_v in_o superstition_n in_o vanity_n pastime_n good-fellowship_n belly-chear_n and_o the_o like_a but_o a_o christian_a and_o godly_a love_n in_o the_o spirit_n further_a one_o another_o to_o heaven_n and_o in_o the_o set_n forth_o of_o god_n glory_n howsoever_o a_o just_a war_n be_v better_a than_o a_o unjust_a peace_n hereto_o this_o objection_n may_v be_v add_v that_o if_o a_o man_n be_v never_o so_o well_o belove_v before_o if_o he_o become_v a_o professor_n and_o goer_n to_o sermon_n he_o shall_v be_v hate_v of_o most_o man_n therefore_o i_o will_v be_v none_o of_o those_o will_v some_o say_v i_o will_v have_v the_o goodwill_n of_o my_o neighbour_n but_o let_v such_o know_v that_o that_o be_v a_o wicked_a love_n and_o a_o woeful_a which_o a_o man_n get_v by_o live_v in_o sin_n 19_o better_o be_v hate_v of_o man_n for_o good_a then_o of_o god_n for_o ill-doing_n yea_o to_o be_v thus_o hate_v be_v a_o good_a sign_n 3._o i_o can_v tell_v say_v some_o but_o since_o there_o have_v be_v such_o preach_n and_o such_o a_o stir_n for_o preach_v and_o run_v after_o sermon_n i_o see_v people_n never_o a_o whit_n the_o better_a but_o there_o be_v more_o sin_n now_o then_o be_v before_o now_o such_o pride_n covetousness_n craft_n etc._n etc._n whereas_o before_o there_o be_v love_n good-neighborhood_n plain_o deal_v etc._n etc._n a._n 1._o the_o devil_n have_v they_o who_o live_v in_o popery_n and_o blindness_n so_o fast_o in_o the_o main_a as_o he_o do_v not_o great_o strive_v to_o bring_v they_o to_o gross_a sin_n because_o he_o be_v sure_a enough_o of_o they_o otherwise_o now_o he_o fear_v he_o shall_v lose_v they_o therefore_o labour_v this_o way_n &_o the_o rather_o because_o he_o will_v discredit_v the_o gospel_n he_o know_v their_o civility_n can_v do_v their_o soul_n no_o pleasure_n and_o that_o be_v void_a of_o faith_n it_o please_v not_o god_n therefore_o he_o let_v they_o alone_o and_o the_o rather_o that_o that_o religion_n may_v be_v the_o better_a thought_n of_o now_o to_o disgrace_v the_o true_a religion_n he_o persuade_v many_o to_o rest_v in_o hear_v yet_o draw_v they_o to_o all_o evil_n 2._o there_o be_v not_o more_o nor_o so_o much_o as_o seem_v but_o because_o the_o gospel_n and_o light_n have_v discover_v sin_n more_o for_o a_o number_n of_o thing_n that_o be_v count_v virtue_n now_o the_o word_n find_v to_o be_v vice_n and_o rebuke_n as_o carnal_a good-fellowship_n idle_a and_o vain_a spend_v of_o time_n idolatty_n and_o blind_a superstition_n none_o be_v count_v bad_a then_o but_o those_o that_o be_v notorious_o so_o now_o the_o word_n descry_v many_o small_a thing_n so_o that_o the_o gospel_n be_v no_o more_o in_o the_o fault_n though_o it_o discover_v fault_n than_o a_o looking-glass_n be_v to_o be_v blame_v for_o show_v any_o the_o spot_n in_o his_o face_n the_o fault_n be_v not_o in_o the_o glass_n that_o there_o be_v spot_n they_o be_v there_o before_o if_o in_o a_o dark_a night_n we_o come_v into_o a_o house_n we_o see_v nothing_o out_o of_o order_n though_o there_o be_v never_o so_o many_o thing_n amiss_o which_o in_o the_o light_n we_o do_v yet_o be_v not_o the_o light_n in_o the_o fault_n as_o only_o discover_v that_o which_o before_o be_v unseen_a 3._o no_o marvel_n though_o there_o seem_v more_o evil_a because_o when_o man_n be_v forbid_v evil_a and_o call_v upon_o for_o good_a they_o be_v more_o eager_a on_o sin_n then_o before_o
