both_o their_o doctrine_n and_o their_o book_n will_v as_o evident_o prove_v it_o against_o they_o but_o here_o i_o must_v again_o challenge_v you_o and_o all_o other_o the_o adversary_n of_o our_o holy_a religion_n to_o show_v we_o any_o one_o particular_a in_o it_o that_o can_v give_v the_o least_o foundation_n to_o such_o a_o charge_n any_o one_o word_n in_o all_o the_o book_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n that_o can_v afford_v the_o least_o umbrage_n or_o pretence_n thereto_o let_v what_o be_v write_v in_o they_o be_v try_v by_o that_o which_o be_v the_o touchstone_n of_o all_o religion_n i_o mean_v that_o religion_n of_o nature_n and_o reason_n which_o god_n have_v write_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o every_o one_o of_o we_o from_o the_o first_o creation_n and_o if_o it_o vary_v from_o it_o in_o any_o one_o particular_a if_o it_o prescribe_v any_o one_o thing_n which_o may_v in_o the_o minute_a circumstance_n thereof_o be_v contrary_a to_o its_o righteousness_n i_o will_v our_o practice_n in_o both_o than_o the_o wise_a and_o high_a moralist_n be_v ever_o able_a without_o it_o to_o reach_v in_o speculation_n for_o one_a as_o to_o the_o forbid_v of_o evil_n it_o be_v so_o far_o from_o indulge_v or_o in_o the_o least_o allow_v we_o in_o any_o practice_n that_o savour_v hereof_o that_o it_o be_v the_o only_a law_n which_o be_v so_o perfect_o broad_a in_o the_o prohibition_n as_o adequate_o to_o reach_v whatsoever_o may_v be_v evil_a in_o the_o practice_n and_o without_o any_o exception_n omission_n or_o defect_n absolute_o full_o and_o thorough_o forbid_v unto_o we_o whatsoever_o may_v have_v but_o the_o least_o taint_n of_o corruption_n therein_o and_o therefore_o it_o not_o only_o restrain_v all_o the_o overtact_n of_o iniquity_n but_o also_o every_o imagination_n of_o the_o heart_n within_o which_o in_o the_o least_o tend_v thereto_o and_o in_o its_o precept_n prohibit_v we_o not_o only_o the_o do_v or_o speak_v of_o evil_n but_o also_o the_o harbour_v or_o receive_v into_o our_o mind_n the_o least_o thought_n or_o desire_n thereafter_o whereby_o it_o so_o effectual_o provide_v against_o all_o manner_n of_o iniquity_n that_o it_o pluck_v it_o up_o out_o of_o every_o one_o of_o we_o by_o the_o very_a root_n and_o so_o make_v the_o man_n pure_a and_o clean_o and_o holy_a altogether_o without_o allow_v the_o least_o savour_n of_o evil_a to_o be_v remain_v in_o he_o and_o every_o one_o of_o we_o will_v be_v thorough_o such_o can_v we_o be_v but_o as_o perfect_v in_o our_o obedience_n to_o this_o law_n as_o it_o be_v perfect_o give_v unto_o we_o and_o two_o as_o to_o the_o command_a of_o good_a its_o prescription_n be_v that_o we_o employ_v our_o time_n our_o power_n and_o all_o other_o talent_n entrust_v with_o we_o to_o the_o best_a we_o be_v able_a both_o to_o give_v glory_n unto_o god_n and_o also_o to_o show_v charity_n unto_o man_n and_o this_o last_o not_o only_o to_o our_o friend_n relation_n and_o benefactor_n but_o in_o general_a to_o all_o mankind_n even_o to_o our_o enemy_n and_o those_o who_o despiteful_o use_v we_o and_o persecute_v we_o and_o hereby_o it_o advance_v we_o to_o that_o height_n of_o perfection_n in_o all_o holiness_n and_o goodness_n as_o to_o render_v we_o like_o the_o angel_n of_o light_n in_o our_o service_n unto_o god_n and_o like_o god_n himself_o in_o our_o charity_n to_o man._n for_o it_o direct_v we_o in_o the_o same_o manner_n as_o the_o angel_n to_o worship_n and_o serve_v our_o god_n to_o the_o utmost_a ability_n of_o out_o nature_n and_o in_o the_o same_o
