for_o lessen_v and_o abridge_n the_o multitude_n of_o suit_n and_o contention_n as_o also_o for_o prevent_v the_o complaint_n of_o suitor_n in_o court_n ecclesiastical_a who_o many_o time_n be_v overthrow_v by_o the_o oversight_n and_o negligence_n or_o by_o the_o ignorance_n and_o insufficiency_n of_o proctor_n and_o likewise_o for_o the_o furtherance_n and_o increase_n of_o learning_n and_o the_o advancement_n of_o civil_a and_o canon_n law_n follow_v the_o laudable_a custom_n heretofore_o observe_v in_o the_o court_n pertain_v to_o the_o archbishop_n of_o canterbury_n we_o will_v and_o ordain_v that_o no_o proctor_n exercise_v in_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v entertain_v any_o cause_n whatsoever_o and_o keep_v and_o retain_v the_o same_o for_o two_o court_n day_n without_o the_o counsel_n and_o advise_v of_o a_o advocate_n under_o pain_n of_o a_o year_n suspension_n from_o his_o practice_n neither_o shall_v the_o judge_n have_v power_n to_o release_v or_o mitigate_v the_o say_a penalty_n without_o express_a mandate_n and_o authority_n from_o the_o archbishop_n aforesaid_a cxxxi_o proctor_n not_o to_o conclude_v in_o any_o cause_n without_o the_o knowledge_n of_o a_o advocate_n no_o judge_n in_o any_o of_o the_o say_a court_n of_o the_o archbishop_n shall_v admit_v any_o libel_n or_o any_o other_o matter_n without_o the_o advice_n of_o a_o advocate_n admit_v to_o practice_v in_o the_o same_o court_n or_o without_o his_o subscription_n neither_o shall_v any_o proctor_n conclude_v any_o cause_n depend_v without_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o advocate_n retain_v and_o feed_v in_o the_o cause_n which_o if_o any_o proctor_n shall_v do_v or_o procure_v to_o be_v do_v or_o shall_v by_o any_o colour_n whatsoever_o defraud_n the_o advocate_n of_o his_o duty_n or_o fee_n or_o shall_v be_v negligent_a in_o repair_v to_o the_o advocate_n and_o require_v his_o advice_n what_o course_n be_v to_o be_v take_v in_o the_o cause_n he_o shall_v be_v suspend_v from_o all_o practice_n for_o the_o space_n of_o six_o month_n without_o hope_n of_o be_v thereunto_o restore_v before_o the_o say_a term_n be_v full_o complete_a cxxxii_o proctor_n prohibit_v the_o oath_n in_o animam_fw-la domini_fw-la svi_fw-la forasmuch_o as_o in_o the_o probate_n of_o testament_n and_o suit_n for_o administration_n of_o the_o good_n of_o person_n die_v intestate_a the_o oath_n usual_o grant_v a_o commission_n to_o some_o grave_a ecclesiastical_a person_n abide_v near_o the_o party_n aforesaid_a whereby_o he_o shall_v give_v power_n and_o authority_n to_o the_o say_v ecclesiastical_a person_n in_o his_o stead_n to_o minister_v the_o accustom_a oath_n above_o mention_v to_o the_o executor_n or_o suitor_n for_o such_o administration_n require_v his_o say_a substitute_n that_o by_o a_o faithful_a and_o trusty_a messenger_n he_o certify_v the_o say_a judge_n true_o and_o faithful_o what_o he_o have_v do_v therein_o last_o we_o ordain_v and_o appoint_v that_o all_o proctor_n in_o the_o say_a court_n do_v especial_o intend_v that_o the_o act_n be_v faithful_o enter_v and_o set_v down_o by_o the_o register_n according_a to_o the_o advice_n and_o direction_n of_o the_o advocate_n that_o the_o say_v proctor_n refrain_v loud_a speech_n and_o brabble_a and_o behave_v themselves_o quiet_o and_o modest_o and_o that_o when_o either_o the_o judge_n
