much_o strengthen_v by_o these_o ensue_a consideration_n first_o that_o whereas_o no_o oath_n which_o be_v contradictory_a to_o itself_o can_v be_v take_v without_o perjury_n because_o the_o one_o part_n of_o every_o contradiction_n must_v needs_o be_v false_a this_o covenant_n either_o indeed_o contain_v or_o at_o leastwise_o which_o to_o the_o point_n of_o conscience_n be_v not_o much_o less_o effectual_a seem_v to_o we_o to_o contain_v sundry_a contradiction_n as_o namely_o among_o other_o these_o 1._o to_o preserve_v as_o it_o be_v without_o change_n and_o yet_o to_o reform_v and_o alter_v and_o not_o to_o preserve_v one_o and_o the_o same_o reform_a religion_n 2._o absolute_o and_o without_o exception_n to_o preserve_v and_o yet_o upon_o supposition_n to_o extirpate_v the_o selfsame_a thing_n viz._n the_o present_a religion_n of_o the_o church_n of_o scotland_n 3._o to_o reform_v church-government_n establish_v in_o england_n and_o ireland_n according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o to_o extirpate_v that_o government_n which_o we_o be_v persuade_v to_o be_v according_a thereunto_o for_o the_o introduce_n of_o another_o whereof_o we_o be_v not_o so_o persuade_v 4._o to_o endeavour_v real_o the_o extirpation_n of_o heresy_n schism_n and_o profaneness_n and_o yet_o withal_o to_o extirpate_v that_o government_n in_o the_o church_n the_o want_n of_o the_o due_a exercise_n whereof_o we_o conceive_v to_o have_v be_v one_o chief_a cause_n of_o the_o growth_n of_o the_o say_a evil_n and_o do_v believe_v the_o restore_n and_o continuance_n thereof_o
