they_o must_v not_o according_a to_o the_o clause_n of_o this_o oath_n of_o allegiance_n swear_v that_o they_o do_v detest_v as_o impious_a that_o position_n of_o they_o that_o prince_n excummunicate_v or_o deprive_v by_o the_o pope_n may_v be_v depose_v or_o murder_v by_o their_o subject_n yet_o since_o english_a catholic_n yea_o even_o their_o own_o penitent_n will_v be_v both_o good_a catholic_n and_o therefore_o good_a subject_n as_o all_o be_v in_o france_n germany_n venice_n flanders_n etc._n etc._n till_o a_o authentic_a approve_v receive_a decree_n of_o the_o church_n be_v produce_v or_o procure_v to_o declare_v not_o in_o england_n only_o but_o all_o christendom_n over_o that_o that_o position_n be_v de_fw-fr fide_fw-la they_o will_v not_o be_v deprive_v of_o their_o christian_a liberty_n to_o renounce_v it_o especial_o be_v assure_v that_o without_o renounce_v of_o it_o the_o state_n will_v never_o acknowledge_v they_o for_o loyal_a subject_n it_o be_v well_o know_v that_o in_o france_n there_o be_v a_o oath_n frame_v by_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o fierce_a estate_n in_o which_o they_o be_v to_o be_v sound_n far_o more_o comprehensive_a expression_n than_o be_v in_o our_o oath_n for_o therein_o be_v express_o affirm_v that_o there_o be_v no_o power_n on_o earth_n 425._o either_o spiritual_a or_o temporal_a that_o have_v any_o right_n over_o his_o majesty_n kingdom_n to_o deprive_v the_o sacred_a person_n of_o our_o king_n nor_o to_o to_o dispense_v with_o or_o absolve_v their_o subject_n from_o their_o loyalty_n and_o obedience_n whiâ—h_o they_o owe_v to_o they_o for_o any_o cause_n or_o pretence_n whatsoever_o 108._o this_o will_v suffice_v concern_v that_o position_n which_o those_o who_o will_v not_o be_v permit_v to_o renounce_v but_o rather_o maintain_v it_o to_o article_n of_o faith_n yet_o however_o will_v perhaps_o not_o refuse_v to_o profess_v themselves_o ready_a to_o swear_v 1._o that_o the_o king_n of_o and_o what_o needs_o prince_n desire_v any_o great_a security_n say_v they_o what_o need_v they_o trouble_v themselves_o with_o their_o subject_n speculative_a opinion_n 109._o but_o alas_o a_o miserable_a security_n a_o poor_a testimony_n or_o gage_n of_o fidelity_n be_v all_o this_o god_n know_v for_o first_o murder_n be_v a_o unjust_a kill_v out_o of_o malice_n and_o with_o a_o deliberate_a purpose_n be_v a_o sin_n so_o horrible_a in_o itself_o that_o god_n himself_o can_v make_v it_o lawful_a much_o less_o the_o pope_n therefore_o in_o all_o reason_n instead_o of_o those_o word_n may_v not_o be_v murder_v they_o ought_v to_o say_v may_v not_o be_v kill_v by_o their_o subject_n for_n otherwise_o notwithstanding_o that_o oath_n the_o pope_n may_v be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v a_o competent_a judge_n of_o life_n and_o death_n over_o our_o king_n to_o sentence_v they_o to_o the_o slaughter_n and_o that_o sentence_n may_v be_v put_v in_o execution_n without_o murder_n for_o who_o ever_o say_v that_o a_o malefactor_n put_v to_o death_n by_o law_n be_v murder_v by_o the_o judge_n sentence_n 110._o but_o whether_o they_o say_v may_n not_o be_v murder_v or_o may_n not_o be_v kill_v prince_n will_v esteem_v themselves_o little_o advantage_v by_o such_o a_o oath_n unless_o the_o swearer_n say_v withal_o may_n not_o be_v depose_v for_o whosoever_o have_v a_o supreme_a just_a right_n upon_o any_o pretence_n whatsoever_o to_o depose_v prince_n have_v thereby_o right_a to_o cause_v they_o to_o be_v kill_v in_o case_n they_o by_o arm_n oppose_v the_o execution_n of_o that_o sentence_n and_o can_v it_o be_v imagine_v that_o any_o prince_n judge_v a_o heretic_n or_o otherwise_o guilty_a by_o the_o pope_n and_o by_o he_o sentence_v to_o be_v depose_v will_v thereupon_o quiet_o descend_v out_o of_o his_o throne_n and_o yield_v up_o his_o sceptre_n to_o one_o of_o a_o contrary_a religion_n or_o rather_o be_v it_o not_o most_o certain_a that_o they_o will_v not_o but_o on_o the_o contrary_n bring_v with_o they_o many_o thousand_o of_o their_o arm_a
