it_o be_v a_o borrow_a expression_n and_o a_o allusion_n open_v the_o prevalency_n of_o christ_n with_o the_o father_n for_o his_o own_o people_n it_o be_v take_v from_o a_o office_n among_o man_n advocate_n in_o the_o common_a law_n you_o call_v they_o counsellor_n but_o in_o the_o civil_a law_n they_o have_v this_o very_a title_n of_o advocate_n the_o office_n be_v this_o namely_o be_v well_o experience_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o rule_n and_o principle_n of_o justice_n when_o ever_o a_o cause_n come_v to_o be_v try_v they_o be_v to_o make_v clear_a the_o principle_n of_o justice_n and_o so_o to_o plead_v out_o justice_n on_o the_o behalf_n of_o the_o client_n for_o who_o they_o plead_v i_o say_v the_o office_n of_o a_o advocate_n be_v to_o plead_v the_o cause_n of_o a_o person_n as_o it_o stand_v in_o equity_n and_o justice_n and_o to_o demand_v and_o require_v a_o sentence_n of_o acquittance_n and_o discharge_n from_o justice_n and_o equity_n itself_o herein_o a_o advocate_n differ_v from_o a_o suppliant_a a_o suppliant_a make_v only_a request_n and_o depend_v altogether_o upon_o favour_n alone_o so_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v stand_v to_o the_o rigour_n of_o justice_n he_o must_v be_v go_v and_o his_o cause_n must_v miscarry_v i_o say_v this_o be_v the_o proper_a office_n of_o a_o suppliant_a or_o petitioner_n but_o a_o advocate_n he_o but_o some_o peradventure_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o say_v this_o can_v be_v that_o christ_n as_o a_o advocate_n shall_v plead_v for_o indemnity_n upon_o term_n of_o justice_n for_o in_o the_o strictness_n and_o the_o rigour_n of_o justice_n the_o soul_n that_o sin_v must_v die_v and_o the_o gospel_n seem_v to_o say_v it_o be_v only_o and_o sole_o grace_n that_o any_o person_n be_v discharge_v from_o sin_n for_o in_o justice_n there_o can_v be_v a_o claim_n make_v of_o pardon_n and_o discharge_v from_o sin_n but_o all_o the_o plea_n must_v be_v mere_o bounty_n and_o favour_n answ_n this_o objection_n seem_v to_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o strength_n in_o it_o how_o may_v these_o two_o thing_n stand_v together_o that_o christ_n plead_v justice_n god_n must_v forgive_v
